Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Year 46 of the Konoha Calendar.

Wind Country, Sunagakure.

Rasa stood with his hands behind his back, expression unreadable, silently gazing out the window.

Outside was nothing but endless desert. The air was dry, and the yellow sand blown by the hot wind kept smacking against the window with a pap pap pap sound.

After watching the scenery for a long time, Rasa finally shook his head. Even now, he couldn't tell if he should be happy or worried.

He had transmigrated into the Naruto world, and not just as anyone—but as Rasa, the Fourth Kazekage.

This was way better than his previous life: working 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., 6 days a week, only to spend an extra ten minutes sweeping the office floors voluntarily.

Only four days off per month and a monthly salary of barely 5,000 yuan?

And now, in the Naruto world—where hot kunoichi are everywhere?

Logically speaking, Rasa should be ecstatic.

But he wasn't.

Why?

Looking down at the faint calluses on his hands, especially the thick one on his right middle finger from over a decade of gripping pens…

Yes. He had fully body transmigrated into the Naruto world, replacing Rasa.

To everyone else, he was Rasa.

Photos, portraits, official records—all had been overwritten with Lifan's own face and name.

But—crucially—he didn't inherit Rasa's strength.

With his modern-day physique, even a single ninja academy student could beat him to death ten times over.

And so far, Rasa hadn't discovered any cheat, system, or golden finger.

He was a lecherous man at heart, sure—but also terrified of death. In this condition, he couldn't enjoy anything. Only when his safety was assured could the fun begin.

Knock knock.

Suddenly, a knock on the door pulled Rasa out of his thoughts.

Unlike his old habits on Earth, Rasa didn't immediately walk over. He took a deep breath and said solemnly:

"Who is it?"

"Lord Rasa, it's me."

Hearing a young woman's warm voice, Rasa secretly let out a sigh of relief.

Ah, his cheap little sister-in-law—no, someone who used to be his sister-in-law in his memories.

He opened the door. A wave of heat hit him, making him squint. After a few seconds, he adjusted to the light and looked down at the girl in front of him.

A beautiful blonde teenager around 16 or 17, with a Suna headband, snow-white skin, and a slender figure stood at the door.

A faint sense of urgency showed on her delicate brows.

Rasa glanced at her feet for a moment (pure instinct), then quickly pushed away the flood of chaotic thoughts in his head.

Smiling gently, he said:

"Yashaka, what's the matter?"

Yes—in the original series, Yashamaru was male. But in the world Rasa had entered, Yashamaru had become a girl.

She was also a stunning woman who could easily score a 90 out of 100 in beauty.

After taking over Rasa's identity, Rasa also inherited all of his predecessor's memories.

This Naruto world wasn't much different from what Rasa remembered of the original—at least not in broad strokes. But there were some "minor" details that had shifted significantly.

For example, Yashamaru, who was originally male in the source material, was now a breathtakingly beautiful woman named Yashaka.

And also—for example—in the original timeline, at this point in time, Rasa and Karura were already a confirmed couple.

But according to the memories Rasa now possessed, this world's Rasa had zero interest in romantic affairs—his entire focus had been on training and mastering ninjutsu.

The Rasa in this world was the very definition of an ascetic monk.

While his strength was somewhat superior to that of the original Rasa at the same age—and he was also two years younger than the Rasa from canon—his social network and interpersonal relationships were dozens of times worse.

Oddly enough, this information actually put Rasa at ease.

Yashaka watched Rasa curiously. She noticed that his gaze and tone seemed noticeably softer than before?

That thought only flickered through her mind for a second before she adopted a more businesslike tone and said:

"Lord Rasa, Elder Chiyo and Elder Ebizō are requesting your presence. They want you to report to the Kazekage's office immediately—they say it's something urgent."

Elder Chiyo? The Kazekage's office? Something important?

Rasa quickly sifted through Rasa's memories, trying to figure out what could be going on—but found no indication of any recent major events.

Still, despite the lack of leads, a deep unease crept into his heart.

Why?

Because it was Elder Chiyo who had sent someone to summon him.

Normally, no matter what important matter came up, it should've been the Third Kazekage issuing the summons, not a retired elder.

But now, Chiyo, who was already semi-retired, had gone over the Kazekage's head and directly sent someone to call for him—to the Kazekage's office, no less.

A realization struck Rasa like lightning.

He had a rough idea of what this might mean.
