"Mr. Lee is busy. He doesn't want to be disturbed," Mr. No said firmly to Kang Seung.
"But it won't take long," Kang Seung insisted, stepping forward.
"Mr. Kang, I advise you not to get on his bad side. If he gets angry, you won't like it," Mr. No warned with a sharp glance.
Kang Seung froze, cold sweat beading on his forehead. He had heard stories about Lee Seo Jun's temper, how he was the scariest among the powerful Lees, someone to be careful around.
"Please excuse yourself, Mr. Kang," Mr. No said before turning away.
⸻
"Has he left?" Lee Seo Jun asked without looking up from his laptop.
"Yes," Mr. No confirmed.
"Mr. No, terminate the contract," Lee Seo Jun said.
Mr. No's brows furrowed in surprise.
"The one between me and So Min."
"Yes, sir. I will get Mr. Chan on it immediately."
Finally, Lee Seo Jun stopped typing. He pulled out his phone and dialed.
•Girlfriend•
He had changed Joon So Min's contact name. Mr. No blinked, surprised, this man was really gone!
So Min answered immediately.
"What do you need, my lord?" she teased playfully.
"You," Lee Seo Jun replied simply.
So Min's cheeks flushed deep red. Thank goodness she was outside when she took the call, her coworkers would have teased her mercilessly.
"Wh-what do you mean?" she stammered.
"I'll pick you up from work. Let's have dinner."
"Okay, sir," she giggled.
"I love you," Lee Seo Jun said, and she froze.
I love you!
"I love you too," she whispered slowly.
"So Min—"
She turned, startled to see her coworker smiling knowingly.
"You're blushing," the girl teased.
So Min got goosebumps. "You're talking to your boyfriend!" the girl laughed.
"No! It's not like that!" So Min dashed inside the shop, cheeks burning.
Her coworker chuckled behind her.
⸻
"Check the box there," Lee Seo Jun said as he drove.
She looked sternly at him but reached down and opened the box.
Inside lay a stunning designer gown and a pair of elegant heels.
"What's this for?" she asked.
"Just wanted you to change. I know you'd be uncomfortable in your work clothes," Lee Seo Jun said, his excuse sounding strangely sincere.
So Min rolled her eyes but giggled.
"We're here," he announced, stopping in front of a fine restaurant.
He jumped out, rushed to open her door, and So Min laughed at his sweetness.
The security guard greeted Lee Seo Jun warmly.
"Here," Lee Seo Jun handed over the key.
Together, they entered the restaurant.
"You can go change," he smiled at her.
The place was empty. Did he book the entire restaurant?
"Did you?" she asked.
"Yes. I own it," he replied with a smirk.
Her eyes widened. Of course he does.
"Go on, change," he urged.
Why was he acting like this?
⸻
So Min entered a private room where soft music played.
Behind her, Lee Seo Jun stood in a tuxedo, handsome as ever.
He rose as she entered. Someone else quickly took his place playing a soothing tune, but So Min preferred the graceful movements of Lee Seo Jun's long fingers on the piano.
He took her hand with a dazzling smile and led her to the dance floor.
He spun her around with effortless grace. So Min smiled gratefully, glad she'd learned to dance and not miss a step.
"What's all this for?" she whispered.
"For you, my love." He spun her again and caught her in his arms. Their eyes locked.
"You look beautiful," he murmured, admiring how the black gown hugged her curves,he truly knew her size.
"Let's go," he said, taking her hand and leading her outside to a garden.
So Min looked around, surprised to find a lush garden here.
"The restaurant has suites for guests," he explained.
She nodded, and suddenly, white fireflies began to dance around them.
So Min gasped, marveling at the magical sight. She turned to Lee Seo Jun, who gave her a knowing smile.
"How did you—? I've never seen fireflies like this before."
"I have my ways," he grinned.
Lee Seo Jun gazed at her radiant face and thought how he never imagined he'd come to love her so deeply.
"Close your eyes," he smiled softly.
So Min obeyed, shutting her eyes.
Taking advantage of the moment, Lee Seo Jun knelt on one knee, a sparkling ring in his hand.
"Open your eyes, So Min."
She opened them to find him kneeling, the ring extended toward her.
Her tears welled up as she stared into his handsome face.
"Since I met you, I never imagined I'd come to love and cherish you like this. I loved the moments we fought, the moments we hated each other and how that grew into love. It's funny how yesterday we didn't like each other, and today you've become the best part of me. I love you more each day, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Joon So Min."
Tears streamed down her cheeks, but she smiled.
"Will you make me the happiest man alive by marrying me and becoming part of me forever?"
She nodded, extending her hand.
Lee Seo Jun's smile lit up the night as he slipped the ring onto her slender finger.
He stood and pulled her into a passionate kiss.
Above them, fireworks exploded in brilliant colors, spelling out I love you, Joon So Min across the sky.
She had never been happier.
Lee Seo Jun was her world and her happiness.
