Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE: When the Grid Shattered

Somewhere beyond space and time, before the fall…

The Morphing Grid hummed.

It pulsed like a living being—threads of color and energy winding endlessly through the fabric of existence. Red. Blue. Black. Yellow. White. More than light. More than power. It was legacy, memory, will. The Grid remembered every Ranger who had ever fought, every blow struck in defense of a thousand Earths, every transformation that lit up the battlefield like dawn breaking through eternal night.

But now… it trembled.

And in its trembling, the universes wept.

A thousand timelines flickered—glimpses of chaos rippling across the Grid like a virus. Green skies over Angel Grove. Megazords sinking into molten oceans. Morphers cracking apart in trembling hands. The once-unbreakable web of power and protection had begun to unravel.

And in the center of the unraveling stood a man… cloaked in blackened armor that hissed and shimmered with corrupted Morph energy.

The Eclipse Knight.

"You should have let me die."

His voice echoed in the hollow void, cold and bitter, like metal scraping against itself. The visor of his helmet cracked slightly, revealing one glowing eye—the color of a dying star.

He stepped forward onto the Cradle of the Grid, the sacred heart of all Ranger power. Beneath his armored boots, the fractal light of every Ranger who had ever existed flickered in protest.

"Elios," a voice whispered—half-choked with sorrow.

Zara Vey stepped from the edge of the Grid's light, a silver spear gripped tightly in her gloved hand. Her armor shimmered with the last unbroken purity of the original Morphers, ancient and elegant. She was the last Guardian. The final sentinel of the Morphing Grid.

"You were our brother," she said, "our hope."

Elios—the Eclipse Knight—did not blink. "Hope is a lie told by those too weak to change fate."

With a snarl, he raised his hand. Dark Morph energy surged. The sky cracked open behind him, and from it, a chorus of screaming timelines howled like dying stars.

"I offered them unity," he said, stepping forward. "I offered order. I became the new Grid."

"You became a monster," Zara shot back.

They collided—light against shadow.

Silver met obsidian in an explosion that sent shockwaves across dimensions. The Grid groaned beneath them as weapon clashed against blade. The energy screamed.

But it was not enough.

Zara staggered. Blood trickled from her mouth. Her spear shattered in her hands.

Elios reached out and touched the core of the Grid with his corrupted gauntlet. Threads of power recoiled, snapping away—but he seized one.

The Red Thread. The central flame of leadership. Loyalty. Sacrifice.

He crushed it in his palm.

The Grid shattered.

Timeline Alpha-Prime… collapsed.

Timeline Omega-Verse… collapsed.

Timeline Earth-663, Neo-City Rangers… erased.

Rangers across universes screamed as their Morphers exploded or faded. Zords crumbled mid-battle. Cities turned to dust. Heroes forgot their names as reality erased their pasts.

In the center of it all, Elios floated in the void—reborn as Eclipse Knight—siphoning the broken strands of power into his armor, forging a new realm from the pieces of the old.

A realm that would belong to him.

But somewhere, in the fractured remains of Timeline Zeta-Kai…

Zara Vey crawled through the ruin of what had once been the Cradle. Her fingers, burned and trembling, reached for a small crystal embedded in the broken floor. A final safeguard. Her last act as Guardian.

She whispered a command with her dying breath.

"Activate the Fracture Protocol…"

Initiating Protocol…

Searching for rogue candidates…

Searching across annihilated timelines…

Assembling team… Final spark ignited…

A spark flickered in the darkness.

A portal opened across fractured space.

Five glowing fragments of light were pulled from dying worlds—dragged through the remnants of their timelines and thrown into the void… where something new was about to begin.

In the beginning, there were Rangers…

Now, there is only survival.
