Chapter 156: Sakura, Do You Want My Bloodline?
Afterward, Akiyama Makoto sealed the ninjutsu scroll and kept it as a memento. He didn't actually need to look at it; he had already memorized all the details of the technique by heart. In fact, what he wanted to do most right now was to try and construct the True Spirit Seal. With his experience from the Yin Seal and the Illusion-Breaking Seal, he even felt that he could succeed on the first try.
But a glance at the time showed it was already almost midnight. Would it be inappropriate to go find Sakura now?
How could it be? They were already a couple!
Go. Go now!
His spirits were high. He naturally couldn't let himself down.
With that, he slipped out the window and leaped through the night, his speed so great that it even surprised Uzuki Yūgao, who was following closely behind.
It's been less than half a year. Has he already gotten this strong? This made her unable to stop thinking about that dream of hers... could all of that really happen?
On his end, he ignored Yūgao. It didn't matter even if she reported his night rendezvous with Sakura to the Third Hokage. In his last simulation with Sakura, no one had troubled him all the way up to the Chūnin Exams. He should naturally relax a little; there was no reason to remain so tense. Of course, he would still use a simulation later to ensure nothing went wrong.
Soon, he arrived at Sakura's house and leaped up to her second-story bedroom window. The lights inside were already out, as she had to get up early tomorrow for the bell test Kakashi had prepared for the team.
He knew this. In fact, it was part of the reason he had come.
He wanted to let Sakura show off some of her strength. That way, when Kakashi was leading her, he would also be more dedicated in his guidance. Teaching was a rather complex matter. Although he had rich enough experience, when it came to being a ninja, he was certainly not as good as Kakashi. Professional matters should be left to the professionals.
Knock, knock.
He knocked lightly on the window. The sleeping Sakura's eyes immediately snapped open. Even at home, she maintained a trace of caution. This was a basic skill that students had to learn in the Academy, but apart from her, not many people truly treated this knowledge as important.
She didn't turn on the lights immediately, but looked out the window with a puzzled expression. By the bright moonlight, his figure was revealed. Just from seeing the curve of his profile, she called out his name.
"Makoto-kun, is that you?"
He nodded, and then she stopped responding.
By the moonlight, he could see that her face was as red as Hinata's on the verge of fainting. It was clear that his sudden arrival in the middle of the night had made her misunderstand something.
But he didn't want to clarify. Instead, he watched her with a gentle smile, appreciating the adorable sight of a young girl's heart exploding with love. He had just savored the taste of Sakura in the simulation and had even witnessed the entire process of her going from flat-chested to bearing his child. In reality, he naturally couldn't be missing the flavor of a youthful romance. Otherwise, wouldn't all his preparations for her have been in vain?
"Wh-What are you doing here so late?" she finally spoke, nervously pulling at the pajamas she was wearing. The cartoon pattern on them now seemed so gaudy to her. If she had known, she would have worn plain-colored pajamas. Even white would have made her look more mature than this!
"I wanted to see you."
He was blunt. Her body began to sway, and she could barely stand.
"But it's so late—"
"Does wanting to see you have a time limit? Shouldn't I want to see you every moment of every day?"
She felt as if her heart was about to burn to ashes. Although she prided herself on being pretty, she knew that she was, in the end, an ordinary girl. An ordinary background, an ordinary appearance. For him to treat her as an equal with Tenten, Ino, and Hinata was already a great happiness for her. But now, it seemed that among the four of them, he had chosen her first.
"If you think it's too much trouble, then I can leave."
He made a gesture as if to go. She panicked. "W-Wait! I'll go change my clothes—"
"No need. You're very cute just like this."
Steam erupted from the top of her head, and her reason began to slowly evaporate.
She took a deep breath, threw all caution to the wind, opened the window for him, and then, as if accepting her fate, closed her eyes. Perhaps today is my lucky day... Dad, Mom, your daughter is about to grow up!
But after waiting with bated breath for a long while, all she heard was the click of the light turning on.
She immediately opened her eyes and shrieked, thinking he liked to see things more clearly.
To her surprise, she found him looking at something with great interest.
It was a white kimono. The one he had worn. When she had first met Sasuke, she had been hit by the Great Fireball Technique. He had saved her and then used his own kimono to cover her. Afterward, she had said she would wash it and return it to him, but he had never seen it again.
Even he himself had forgotten about this. But now, this very kimono was neatly folded on her desk.
She felt as if she had been completely petrified.
She stiffly walked to his side, pushed him away, and wanted to put the kimono away and destroy the evidence.
But he hugged her shoulders from behind and whispered in her ear, "Just leave it there. I'm happy to see it."
The roots of her ears were so red they were about to bleed.
"If that's not enough, you can always sneak a couple more from my place when you come over. Don't worry, I won't notice."
She finally exploded. She fiercely stomped on his foot and then glared at him like a wolf. He had thought she would throw a fit, but instead, she lowered her head, went to her closet, and after picking through it, stuffed a set of pink pajamas into his hands.
"Here, take these back. Now we're even."
He couldn't help but laugh out loud. Sakura was so scared she quickly covered his mouth and pushed him down. "D-Don't be so loud! If my parents hear, I'll be done for!"
"And don't you dare say they wouldn't mind! Some things are still just too soon!"
He nodded. After she let go, he said, "For example—"
"For example—...—"
She was about to explain but found that she had already pounced on top of him. In an instant, her body began to burn like fire.
Was it too late to explain now?
"Nngh..."
She let out a low whimper, having lost the ability to move.
"Alright, don't worry. I won't do anything strange."
"Just let me hold you for a while, how about it?"
He knew he had gone far enough. If he teased her any further and she punched him, it would be really hard to explain if her parents were roused.
Feeling the life force that was similar to the simulated Sakura, but even more active and youthful, he closed his eyes with satisfaction, enjoying the warm intimacy.
A dozen or so minutes later, her confusion and shyness gradually subsided. She began to curiously feel everything about him, while also wondering why he had come. Had he really just missed her and wanted to be close for a while?
Heehee... This feeling really is nice. Just a little scary.
Next time, she had to be prepared. From her clothes to the scent in her room—wait, or could she just live in her room at his place?
She was startled by her own thought. In her current situation, to want to live at his place was a bit too bold. Perhaps she could use the excuse of staying at a friend's house to go and experience life there for a bit.
At this moment, he patted her shoulder, signaling for her to sit up.
She quickly and obediently knelt upright. Although her shoulder was still leaning against his embrace, she didn't dare to make any more extra movements.
He knew it was time to get down to business.
"Sakura, there's actually another reason I came to find you today."
Her shoulders trembled. In a voice as soft as a mosquito's buzz, she said, "Go ahead, Makoto-kun. I'll consider it seriously."
"Then you'd better listen carefully."
He then explained that he could share a part of his newly awakened, miraculous power with her. The sudden change in topic left her unable to react for a moment.
"You're saying, after you awakened a talent similar to the First Hokage's, you also awakened other powers?"
He nodded. With the First's Cell Activation as a precedent, it was much simpler for him to explain the source of his powers. In the minds of the people of Konoha, the First Hokage was a true God of Shinobi. Nothing that happened to him would be strange.
"Now, I want to share this power that comes from my bloodline with you. Will you accept?"
