Chapter 3 - 3

Inside an off-road vehicle, three eccentrics sat, dressed so thoroughly that they were unrecognizable.

"Boss, do we really need to dress like this?"

Wade tugged at the mask on his face. It was June, after all.

"We're going to steal something. If you don't dress like this, do you want trouble later?"

Qinuo ate a piece of chocolate and let out a satisfied burp. The chocolate wrappers beside him had already piled up into a small mountain.

"Boss, what are we stealing that's worth so much money to you?"

"The Life Foundation found an alien symbiote from outer space. It can grant the host immense power and powerful self-healing abilities. I must have it."

Qinuo didn't hide anything; he knew these two wouldn't give their full effort otherwise.

"That good? If you weren't paying, Boss, I'd want one myself," Wade joked, knowing that such a generous boss was hard to find.

"You can, there's more than one symbiote inside, but these symbiotes all have their own consciousness and desires. If you can't suppress it, you'll be controlled instead."

"Then forget it. I don't want an extra person when I'm sleeping with Vanessa. But Boss, aren't you worried about being controlled?"

"That's why I came with you two to pick one that's easy to get along with."

Logan, driving in front, glanced at the TNT in the passenger seat. "Kid, you must have other motives, right!"

"Yes, there's a symbiote inside that craves to rule the World. He's too dangerous; he must be eliminated."

Qinuo thought of Carnage inside, the strongest symbiote. If he successfully brought a Planet's symbiotes to Earth, what would be left to play?

"Even if the symbiote you mentioned can grant the host great power, there are only a few. It's impossible."

"What if there were millions?"

"!!!"

Logan slammed on the brakes, stopping in the middle of the road.

Logan and Wade both looked at Qinuo.

"Are you serious?"

"This is too exciting."

Qinuo looked at the two seriously and nodded. "The symbiotes were brought back by the Life Foundation from outer space. They come from a Planet."

"I understand."

Logan stomped on the accelerator, no longer as leisurely as before.

"Yo-ho, Boss, we're also saving the World this time."

"You could say that."

With Logan driving at full throttle, they finally arrived at an experimental Base in the middle of the night.

"This is it. Wade, Logan, it's up to you."

Qinuo looked at the two.

"No problem, Boss."

"Kid, don't stray too far from me."

Wade and Logan quickly got out of the car. They moved like Shadows towards the entrance of the experimental Base.

Qinuo nervously followed behind, gripping a pistol tightly in his hand, though he knew it might not be of much use at a critical moment.

Wade moved agilely through the Shadows and quickly found a guard's position, pulling out a short knife and stabbing it into his heart from behind.

The guard tried to call for help, but blood clogged his windpipe, and he soon stopped breathing. Wade even thoughtfully propped him against the wall to make him look like he was dozing off.

Along the way, Wade led the way, avoiding various cameras and dealing with guards without attracting attention.

"So impressive."

Qinuo's eyes sparkled repeatedly at such fluid assassination skills.

They soon arrived at a laboratory. Wade looked at the password lock in front of him, feeling a headache coming on.

"Fingerprint, password, dual verification. A bit troublesome."

Logan pushed Wade aside, extended his claws, scraped them twice on the steel door, and then kicked it. A triangular gap appeared.

"Thanks, Logan."

Qinuo didn't mind at all and immediately squeezed through.

"Hey, buddy, are you selling your claws? I'll offer ten thousand dollars per claw. I want to make two steel knives."

"Unless you sew your mouth shut, I'll consider it."

"Impossible! Do you know how much joy my mouth brings Vanessa? If it were gone..."

"Shut up, Wade."

While the two were arguing behind him, Qinuo also found the symbiotes.

The entire laboratory stored four containers, each holding symbiotes of different colors.

But the other ones stayed quietly inside, unmoving, only the black one was full of vitality.

He approached the black one, shot and shattered the outer container, and watched the Venom crawl out.

"Come on! Venom, from now on, we are one."

Qinuo extended his hand, letting the Venom invade his body.

[Venom is the weakest among the symbiote race] is completely a rumor. In "Venom vs. Carnage," it was added that Venom is the 998th generation of the symbiote race.

In the comic "Venom: Lethal Guardian," several symbiotes separated from Venom couldn't suppress Venom even when they attacked together.

The movie's original words state that Venom is a loser on the symbiote Planet, but 'loser' literally means a failure, and has nothing to do with combat power. As a member of Carnage's vanguard, he would absolutely not be qualified to follow Carnage on missions if his combat power was insufficient.

Qinuo felt his body and experienced no discomfort. It seemed the large amount of chocolate he had eaten earlier had some effect.

"Boss, are you alright?"

Wade asked worriedly, or rather, he was worried about his five hundred thousand dollars.

"I'm fine, we should go."

Qinuo attached the TNT to the container of the silver symbiote, fearing it wouldn't be enough to kill it.

"Let's go."

The three returned the way they came.

The three got into the car and drove a distance away. Qinuo pressed the button.

An explosion sounded, and Qinuo looked in the direction of the Base. A plume of black smoke rose into the sky.

He had the Venom, Carnage was killed, and they left successfully, but why did it feel strange, like a dream?

A dream?

Bang—

Lu Jie pulled out his pistol and shot Logan, who was driving in front.

"Boss, are you crazy? Why did you kill Logan?"

Wade looked at Qinuo in disbelief.

"As expected, it's fake."

Qinuo looked at Wolverine, motionless, slumped over the steering wheel, and then aimed the gun at Wade.

"Sorry, Wade, my idol."

Bang—

Wade had a hole in his forehead and slumped weakly on the seat.

Qinuo sat in the still-moving car, staring blankly at the gun in his hand, then smiled faintly.

"It's not like I haven't died before. I'm betting that Venom is truly inside me."

Bang—

I'm not dead?

Qinuo turned his head and met a pair of pale, large eyes.

"With your mental strength, dying in this World truly means Death."

Venom's head extended from behind Qinuo, blocking the bullet.

"Because I felt that the sensation of you entering my body wasn't an illusion," Qinuo put down his pistol.

"Are you that confident I would save you? You know, your mental Death wouldn't affect your physical body; instead, your body would be completely controlled by me."

Venom opened his fanged, blood-red maw, his long tongue licking Qinuo's face, as if he would bite off Qinuo's head the next second.

"Because we are both lonely in this World. You are an anomaly among the symbiote race, and I am a wanderer from another World."

"We are kindred spirits."

Within the symbiote species, they are supposed to be cold, efficient, and absolutely obedient beings, but Venom has his own thoughts and emotions, and can even develop complex emotional entanglements and ideological conflicts with his host.
