Chapter 106 - [LOM] 106: Leodero

Seeing Alaric didn't deny it, the Ancient Sun God gave a gentle smile. "Alaric, at your core, you're a kind person."

"Thanks for the compliment." Alaric said with a grin, accepting the praise. "By the way, we've got a bit of time left with today's summoning. Mind coming with me somewhere?"

"Where?" The Ancient Sun God asked, curious but with a hint of unease.

"The Church of the Lord of Storms in Backlund's diocese, St. Wind Cathedral." Alaric said, blinking at Him. "We'll shout Leodero's name together and give that old storm pigeon a little Creator-level shock."

The Ancient Sun God fell silent for a moment, sighing helplessly before smiling. "Alright. I'm curious to see how Leodero reacts to me after all these years."

He agreed, fully aware that His appearance before Leodero could spark a chain reaction. Still, He went along with what seemed like a prank.

On one hand, He knew Alaric was a thrill-seeker at heart. If his mischievous whims weren't indulged, he might just walk away, heedless of consequences. On the other, the Ancient Sun God Himself was genuinely curious about Leodero's reaction.

"Wait a sec, let me switch personas." Alaric said, gesturing to the Ancient Sun God. He vanished briefly, reappearing seconds later in his Lucifer guise.

The Ancient Sun God, unfazed by the change in appearance, studied Alaric's new look with mild curiosity. "This is your persona?"

"Yep, my go-to for dealing with officials. You can call me Lucifer or Helel." Alaric said, introducing himself briefly.

"Lucifer…" The Ancient Sun God raised an eyebrow. He'd heard the name, never formally recognized by the churches but widely known in its own right.

"Fitting, right? Lucifer, the false angel, just like this persona's essence." Alaric said with a smile, placing a hand on the Ancient Sun God's shoulder. The next moment, they stood before St. Wind Cathedral.

As one of the Loen Kingdom's main faiths, St. Wind Cathedral was bustling with worshippers, mostly men with a few women... a hallmark of the Storm faith. Thanks to Beyonder interference, their arrival went unnoticed. Alaric led the Ancient Sun God to a corner seat, then looked at Him. "Grisha, do you know Leodero's current honorific name?"

The Ancient Sun God nodded. "The True Creator told me."

"Then let's recite it together!" Alaric said with a cheeky grin.

Having already agreed to shout Leodero's name, the Ancient Sun God didn't mind the small request and nodded.

Together, they chanted in unison:

"King of the Sky; Emperor of the Seas."

"Lord of the Calamity; God of the Storms!"

At this, Alaric blinked, suddenly raising his voice:

"Leodero!"

Boom!

Lightning cracked through the once-clear sky, not just a single bolt but a rolling barrage lasting over ten seconds, betraying the storm god's inner turmoil.

"Huh, he didn't strike us down. Has the old pigeon gone soft or just chickened out?" Alaric said, hearing the thunderous boom outside, as if the world were ending. Yet, despite the spectacle, not a single bolt struck.

Even the tempestuous storm pigeon reined in his temper before absolute power.

The Ancient Sun God's expression showed little surprise. He smiled. "Leodero may seem reckless, but he's cautious at heart."

Alaric gave Him a Really? I don't buy it look, then sighed dramatically. "What a shame. If that thunder had struck, I could've dragged you to beat him up, then snapped a photo for the memories. How great would that be?"

The Ancient Sun God shook His head with a wry smile, then glanced aside. "Enough teasing this gentleman."

Archbishop Ace Snake, the head of St. Wind Cathedral, had appeared beside them unnoticed. His face was grim, though he was visibly restraining his temper.

Alaric grinned, turning to the archbishop and greeting him cheerfully. "Good to see you again, Archbishop Snake."

"Good to see you too, Mr. Helel. May I ask why you and this gentleman are visiting?" Snake forced a smile, though it looked strained.

"No big deal, just here to say hi to Leodero." Alaric replied with a bright smile, standing up. "Greeting's done, so we'll be off."

He turned to the Ancient Sun God. "Let's go, Grisha."

The Ancient Sun God didn't object, rising as well.

Before Snake could say anything, the two vanished.

"..."

So, what was the point of that?

Are they out of their minds?

Snake struggled to contain his rising irritation, but then a deafening boom echoed. He knew it was his Lord's wrath.

This snapped Snake out of his anger, replacing it with a sudden thought: Who's Leodero?

Meanwhile, in the Astral World...

"Are they insane?" Leodero couldn't hold back his fiery temper, cursing loudly. But despite his grumbling, sensing that familiar presence and seeing that familiar figure, he didn't dare strike.

Who knew if a single bolt would bring the Ancient Sun God to his divine kingdom for a beating?

"Calm down, Leodero." A gentle yet cool voice said nearby. The Evernight Goddess, sensing something amiss, had dropped by.

"I'm calm. I've never been calmer in my life." Leodero said, taking a deep breath and finally quelling the lightning over Backlund.

"What happened?" The Evernight Goddess asked, seeing he'd settled down.

She didn't monitor Alaric and the others constantly, busy with her own affairs, so she genuinely didn't know what had occurred, only rushing over when she sensed the Lord of Storms' distress.

Hi guys, Elenea here! I just want to announce that starting now I'll be trying to focus on my own original fanfic, which I've been thinking about for the past few days (lol I really mulled this over briefly for a few days and decided I'm going to make it a full novel).

[Worse Than the Devil (DxD)]

Synopsis:

Devil.

An evil and chaotic creature, born from hell, which are often a scapegoat for humans. Blamed for the atrocities they themselves commit.

"The devil made me do it."

A phrase always uttered by humans after committing crimes, casting blame and responsibility for their wrongdoings onto the devil.

But not all humans are like that, for there is one man who would gleefully commit atrocities that would be condemned by all of human history and accept the blame and responsibility for those wrongs with open arms.

His name is Michael, but in stark contrast to the meaning of his name 'Who is like God' he is not a devout man who draws near to God's embrace. Instead… he is the one who sends lost sheep to meet God's embrace much faster.

Btw, a quick note before you decide to read, if you have a heart as pure as glass, I suggest you don't read this because it REALLY gets dark to early. The first chapter will give you a little idea of what I might explore later on in this fanservice harem-themed world like DxD.

Adios!
