I didn't like the faces people made as they looked at me. It got me wondering if i had a new head stuck by my side or an extra eye. Despite the stares and silence I walked to the front of the room. Emily who also joined the crowd to stare at me whisperd to me and then I noticed what was different.
"I don't understand you sometimes. When did you like purple glitters let alone use them on your dress" I stared at my dress and took notice to her observation. It was the same color as that in my room. What a coincidence. Now it only made me wonder if I should meet up with that mysterious person. Though the glitters made the dress quite ethereal compared to how it was before I still looked at my whole situation since dawn as something suspicious.
"Wasn't your dress already perfect?" Emily bright me out of the thought with that question. "I thought you loved simple and classic. What happened? Did some last minute change it?"
Emily classified the situation as a birthday surprise as she thought the extra touches was Nancy's doing where as she has no idea also what the heck was going on.
I Decided I need to get some answers to all this and right now the only way to do so was to meet up with the mysterious person.
The day began to end and as people were performing different activities, I snuck out of the room and ran into the streets. I just wanted a little walk to cool my head before taking the risk of finding out what the hell has wrong with me. Lost in thoughts I didn't know when I walked all the way to school and when my feet stopped, I found myself right at the spot the mysterious person has sent. Shivers ran through my spine and I was afraid of what might happen next cause I wasn't sure how I unconsciously got here. I wanted to walk around when I stepped on something. Staring at the floor, I picked up the crumbled paper when suddenly,
I began seeing things not normally and I was shaking I had to close my eyes. My whole body began to shiver and radiate purple and I was barely breathing when I got shaken violently. When I got myself, Emily was right in front of me and she looked at me with worried eyes. I knew it was probably one of those day dreams but it wasn't. My body knew, it was real yet my mind denied it. I looked at my palms and noticed my hand held the paper tightly. I wasn't just deceiving myself. Was I?
No. This was more than deception. I looked back at my dress and it was back to its original color. This means what? I hurriedly walked back to my room and there was no trace of glitter too. I was kind of relieved yet worried.
To get things out of my mind, I tried my best to have fun at the party. Besides it was my birthday party right? A little strange things and occurrence won't destroy my long awaited day. It was all I could do to stop the thoughts and not get Emily or anyone worried.
The night ended with me sappy and tired. I had waited for this day yet it ended and I could swear I didn't have fun at all.
The next day, I had woken up normally like I'd always done, by my alarm clock. I looked around and my room wasn't covered with purple glitters and so was my dress. The day went normal and it was almost perfect expect this one feeling that tells me I was being followed... Everywhere. Heading home and it was the same.
I had gone home expecting to just lay down and get to studies but as expected my mum had asked me to go on an errand. I had just left the house when this time it wasn't just a feeling i could see some people behind me. I was trying so hard to loose them I ran all the way till I got cornered in a lane down the street.
The five people cornered me they were wearing hoods and one of them held a blade. It had ancient writings on it and it looked pretty dangerous.
" You refused to show up Nancy. Why?" One of them, the guy at the middle diverted my attention from the blade as his voice echoed.
I refused to answer not because I was didn't want to but because I couldn't out of shock. I just quietly stared at them as the one at the end opened her hood.
"I told you we should try the friendly approach Jackson." She looked at the guy in the middle. "You never listen, do you?" leaning on the wall she looked at me.
"It was better this way Evielyn. Trust me" Jackson said to her.
The rest just opened their hood and revealed their faces. A female with brown hair and black eyes then suggested something shocking.
"Should we kill her then?"
