Chapter 1 - When the Sky Cracked

Ten years ago, the sky cracked open.

Not with fire. Not with thunder. With silence.

A jagged tear ripped across the heavens, splitting the clouds like paper. The world froze. Birds fell mid-flight. Oceans stilled. Even the winds forgot to blow.

And from that rift… it came.

A tower.Black as void.Sharp as a scream. It spiraled endlessly into the sky, its surface shifting like oil on water, never the same shape twice.

No one knew where it came from.No one could explain why it chose this world. And no one who touched it ever returned.

They called it The Tower of Forgotten Fates.

For ten years, it slept. For ten years, humanity lived under its shadow. For ten years, the world slowly died.

Then, this morning—It opened.

Kael stood on a cracked cliffside, staring at the impossible structure in the distance.

Behind him, the world was nothing but ruins—burnt cities, scavenger factions, people more beast than man. Order had crumbled. Hope was a currency no one could afford.

And he? He was a ghost.

Forgotten by the world.Erased from records. His past… gone.

He didn't remember his family. His home. His real name.

Only the Tower called to him. And somehow, deep down, he knew—

The answers were inside.

A loud hum shook the ground. Light erupted from the Tower's base, forming a gateway—like water pulled back from a stone, parting to reveal a swirling blue portal.

Around Kael, dozens had gathered.Mercenaries with guns. Cultists with brands. Mage-tech elites with glowing eyes. All staring.

All waiting.

No one moved.

Then:

Kael's breath hitched.

"What the hell…?"

But no one else seemed to see the glowing text floating in front of him.

They were whispering, waiting, afraid. But Kael stepped forward.

He didn't care about glory. Or gold. Or power.

He wanted the truth.

His truth.

The moment his foot touched the threshold, the world bent around him. A soundless rush filled his ears, like drowning in light.

And the Tower swallowed him whole.

Somewhere deep within, a voice whispered:

"Welcome back, Kael. Let us see what you've forgotten…"
