Chapter 2 - Lazy Sessions and Declaration (Part 1)

Nicholas is groaning while Nelly is pulling the white sleeve of his polo shirt while walking.

"You can just give up and not help me."

Nelly stops walking and shoots him a glare. "Shut up."

Nicholas gulps, and Nelly smiles before walking again while she keeps dragging him.

His eyes grow wide and gulp at the sight of the sports car parked right in front of him.

"Like it?"

Nelly brings out the keys from the pocket of her white dress, and she waves her brown hair with a wink.

"It's a mustang. I bought it using my own money."

"Woah… wait! You used your dad's money, not your own money." Nicholas chuckled.

A smile creeps on her lips. "Is that your final assumption?"

"Final assumption? I know you are a spoiled daughter–!"

His eyes widen as his lip is sealed tightly when Nelly pulls his lace downwards, causing his head to lower on her face; their noses almost touch each other.

"I hate people who judge people easily without knowing them first, but for you," she stares into his eyes, "I can be forgiving."

She lets go of his lace, and Nicholas is left with his eyes still wide, and lips formed in a thin line.

She pulls the door next to the front passenger's seat and smiles seductively while staring at him. "What will it be? Do I need to use force to throw you inside?"

Nicholas shakes his head and narrows his eyes as he takes a deep breath. "No! You will not make me ride that car."

Nelly rolls her eyes before stepping closer to him. She stares at him for a second before swinging her foot upwards.

Nicholas cries in pain while holding his crotch. "OUCH!"

Nelly holds the collar of his polo shirt and drags him inside her sports car.

As she's driving the car on the road, Nicholas' eyes are narrowing while gazing through the window beside him.

"It shouldn't be like that if only you were such a good boy." Nelly ruffled his brown hair.

Nicholas moves his head away from her hand with a groan while slapping her hand away.

"Stop! I am not a kid!"

"So cute! That's what I like about you, Nicholas."

"I don't like you, Nelly! Not even once. Stop annoying me!"

Nicholas looks around the vehicle, and he sees a small picture frame showing a brown-haired girl standing beside a middle-aged man with black hair.

Nelly notices his gaze and turns her eyes to where he's looking. A small smile creeps on her lips, and she chuckles.

"That's my dad."

"Really?" Nicholas blinks, and clears his throat, "Well, I am not interested to know. But you don't look like him."

Nelly opens the small container between their sets and raises a picture of a woman holding Nelly when she was a kid.

"My mother." Nelly lent the picture to him.

Nicholas leans closer to the picture, and Nelly presses her foot on the brake pedal. She grabs the back of his head and pulls him closer to her face.

A faint red tint manifests on Nicholas' cheek as Nelly flashes him a seductive smile.

"You're getting closer!" Nicholas holds her face and pushes her away, "You're getting annoying!"

Nelly laughs and pulls her face away. She puts a strand of her hair over her ear.

She presses the gas pedal while staring at him. "Sorry, you were just so… delicious."

The car stops in front of a gate, and Nicholas observes Nelly as she presses a button, and the window beside her rolls down.

"Open the gate." Nelly's tone is commanding and serious.

The guard takes a brief look at her before Nelly speaks, "Oh, my bad. I am Nelly Anne Cruz, I mean, Señorita Nelly Anne Cruz."

The guard continues to stand while staring at her. Nelly's eyes become thin and she clears her throat. "Open the gate already, you're testing my patience."

Nicholas gulps, and he speaks in his mind while looking at her side profile. "I haven't seen this side of her.

"I always saw her as a calm person. Seeing her like this truly changes what I know about her."

Nicholas turns his eyes to the window beside him, and he sees the view of a massive field of grass with many tiles of crops.

"Woah!" Nicholas muttered.

Nelly chuckles. "Amazing isn't it? Our family takes in the business of selling crops, and meats."

"This land, how big is this?" Nicholas asked while gazing through the window.

Nelly smirks. "The size of this land is comparable to the size of the National Capital Region."

Nicholas' eyes widen, and speaks in his mind. "She's just bluffing! There's no way that her land can compare to NCR!"

The farmers from the distance turn their heads at the car. One of them, a tall man with his right eye covered by an eye patch, takes the hat off his head.

"The señorita is at home. I can sense something off."

The other male farmer steps closer to his right side.

"Maybe it was because she had someone with her? You know what happens when she brings someone with her, right?"

The farmer puts his hat back to his head, and says, "Either the guest gets welcome or gets welcome in the worst-case scenario."

Nelly parks her sports car, and both she and Nicholas step out. He looks around, seeing the large houses surrounding the quadrangle with a fountain in its center.

His eyes widen while his mouth drops open. "I didn't know that you're this rich!"

"Rich? Well, yeah. You just saw me as a class president, right but not being aware of what I have." Nelly chuckled, pressing the lock button on her car keys.

Nicholas turns his eyes at her. "You're not that correct because, during the first day of school, I already sensed that you're a rich girl."

His words cause her to smile, and she turns around. "You better follow me if you don't want to get lost."

She begins walking towards the staircase, and Nicholas follows her. They enter the mansion, and every piece of furniture is branded, the walls, floor, and ceilings are red.

"Welcome to my house." Nelly looked over her shoulder.

She points her index finger on the round table in the living room. Varieties of bread are placed on each round plate, and she smiles.

"If you want, you can get as many as you like." Nelly sat on one of the red sofas and picked up the bottle of wine from the table.

Nicholas picks one of the cookies. "It's big and has many chocolate chips. You ordered this, right?"

Nelly removes the lid of the wine and sniffs the wine with a smile on her face.

She turns her eyes at him and chuckles. "I made that for you. I know today, I am going to take you here for a study session."

Nicholas narrows his eyes at her while holding the cookie, saying in his mind, "Can I trust her? She's nice but she has two sides, maybe she has another one?"

Nelly picks up the wine glass from the table and pours wine on it. "Don't worry, I make my pastries with kindness. It involves not poisoning you."

A woman wearing a maid's dress comes out of the kitchen, and Nelly stands up as she puts her phone closer to her ear.

"Sup? Wait, Dad! Can't hear you."

Nelly walks away from the scene, leaving Nicholas chewing the cookie.

"You are a friend of the señorita?"

"Me?" Nicholas stopped chewing and pointed to himself.

The woman laughs, and she nods. "She never bought somebody here. There are few but those are her friends."

Nicholas raises a question. "How do you know her a lot?

Minutes have passed, and Nicholas is staring at the woman as he's listening to every word she's telling him.

"Wait, so Nelly has her own business already?"

"Yes. She owns a business revolving around restaurants."

"So she's not just a pretty face, she can cook. What else do you know about her?"

The woman steps closer and crouches in front of him. Her eyes are staring straight into his brown eyes.

"She is the type of a person that doesn't want to go out and socialize."

She continues, "She doesn't have any friends because she is afraid that they will only just use her."

Nicholas' brows meet. "Then, why does she befriend me?"

The woman answers him. "Because you hate her. She believes that those who hate her will never use her because they will only see their hatred in her."

"Sorry, my father called."

Nicholas looks at Nelly as she approaches him.

"Come on, my room is ready," Nelly's eyes move towards the woman, "Oh, it's you."

The woman stands up and bows her head while her hands are clasped together on her blue skirt. "I was just speaking with the visitor if he had any demands, señorita."

Nelly looks at her from head to toe, and she smiles. She loops her hand around Nicholas' bicep, and Nicholas blinks while looking at her from head to toe.

"You're closer again!"

"I believe that the news hasn't reached anyone yet, Gina. But this 'visitor' right here is my boyfriend."

"What?!" Nicholas shouted with his eyes widened.
