Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Beginning of Every Tale

Deep within the Forest of Death—a place where even sunlight hesitates to enter—lies the heart of the continent, shrouded in eternal shadow. No human, demi-human, or even the most powerful SSS-ranked adventurer dares approach it.

The forest has long been infamous as the birthplace of corruption, the cradle of evil, and the breeding ground of every twisted human desire. They say ancient mythical beasts still roam its depths. And those who enter… never return.

At the center of this cursed woodland stands a simple wooden cabin—so surreal in its serenity that most would assume it's a mirage, or perhaps an illusion born of madness.

There lives a man named Motz.

His body appears twenty-five, but his face tells another story. His presence is unnatural—almost too still for a human. Pale skin, dark brown hair, eyes that burn with an amber fire yet remain cold and distant. He's tall, toned—not bulky—and moves with a warrior's grace.

One look at him, and anyone would whisper:"That's no human... maybe not even a demi-human."

Motz lived in utter solitude. No family, no friends.Only his loyal steed—Roche—shared the silence.

He had no purpose, no passion, no dreams. He simply... waited. For death. And he waited in silence, unwavering.

Motz's Thoughts (Internal Monologue):

I woke up at eight.A cold morning. Winter again—I don't know the day or year anymore.

Another pointless day.The same routine.

Eat.Gather firewood.Kill some low-tier beasts.Light the fire.Feed Roche.Sleep.

Then repeat it all... again.

Like I'm trapped in a broken time loop.

I haven't spoken to a living soul in years. No voices. No laughter. Nothing.

Every night, I whisper to myself before sleep:

"Ugh... What a disgusting life... Why won't I just die already?""I'm tired. No one is worth it. No one is good. No one is pure.""I'll never love, and I'll never be loved.""Everyone's selfish. Everyone takes. Everyone's filth.""This world is rotten... and no one will ever understand me."

And then I curl into myself, listening to the silent echoes of a heart long broken...

But that night...

Something changed.

Just as he was about to lie down, a sound thundered through the ground—like a celestial explosion, not far from his cabin.

Motz sprinted to the window. And there, in the sky—he saw it.

Four beams of light descending from the heavens, like shooting stars piercing the earth, glowing with divine brilliance.

He froze. His heart pounded.Curiosity overpowered caution.

He rushed outside.

And what he found...Shattered every notion of reality he had left.

Four little girls.Lying unconscious on the ground—almost glowing, as if they had fallen straight from the sky itself.

His breath caught in his throat.

"What... What is this? Am I dreaming? Is this some cruel illusion? Who… who brought them here?"

He stepped closer, cautiously, the air heavy with confusion and awe.

And deep within him...

Something stirred.

The beginning of a tale...That would change everything.
