Chapter 2: the new path to explore
*Javier went inside the gym after buying his membership and meeting the coach of the gym*
Coach: Yo, over her green horn, welcome, welcome. People know me as Coach Klaus, but you can call me Klaus. Well, you look like you keep yourself in top shape. Huh, that's good. First time boxing?
(He was 6"4 little taller than Javier with dirty brown hair and a golden brown trim and lined up bread also being built looking like a mesomorph type wearing a black short-sleeve shirt, dark blue jeans, and leather shoes)
Javier: In a gym yes sir it is my first time and I've read and looked up the rules online for what's legal in a competitive scene so I'm ready to learn and test myself
Klaus: Is that so? Where is it illegal to strike or hit an opponent?
Javier: below the belt, back of the head, the neck, and under the navel can cause nasty injuries and it's unsportsmanlike
Klaus: Pretty good kid, now what are the other fouls that are illegal in boxing? *he looks at Javier with a smirk like more of a proud smile*
Javier: headbutting, elbowing, holding an opponent and hitting them, hitting them when they're down, hitting with an open glove, headbutting, and spitting out the mouthpiece intentionally
Klaus: Well looks like you know what you're talking about greenhorn That's good that's good I think it's time to see you put it in action talking about it and doing it are two different things kid go to the locker room to get ready and I'll find you an opponent to start you off with alright? Also, the locker room is in the back on the right side
Javier: Yes sir
*While Javier is walking to the locker room he catches stares a few nasty ones but mostly positive ones like seeing a new face in a small village he finally makes it to the locker room taking off his black hoodie and dark blue denim jeans puts on some black shorts and a white short sleeve t shirt he does the boxers bounce to loosen his nerves up after he feels good, he puts his mouth piece in and starts wrapping his hands after he finishes he puts his stuff in his backpack and puts it in the locker then locks it with his own personal lock afterwards he puts his gloves on and walks out the locker room he walks into the ring he takes another look around it was a lively gym a busy gym he smiled then looked at Klaus*
Javier: Alright boss man I'm ready
Klaus: That's good since you're a greenhorn we're going to start you with something light one of our newer guys yo James get over here
James: On the way Coach Klaus
*James stood 6"3 bright curly orange hair but a mean physique muscular huge calves, chisel abs broad shoulders He was a kind man usually never angry and always having a smile on his face james then hopped into the ring*
James: Wassup, coach? What do you need me for?
Klaus: I need you to spar with Javier here he's a newbie test the waters out with him start off light but get serious if it comes down to it I don't want any serious injuries so I'll intervene if I have to
James: Sounds good sir
*James walked over took his left glove off and held out his hand to shake Javier's*
James: Nice to meet you Javier I'm James I hope we both have some fun sparring
*Javier took his right glove off and shook his hand*
Javier: Nice to meet you James you're well spirited I see
James: Well why shouldn't I be life is a wonderful thing and today is a beautiful day
Javier: Yeah I guess so
*Javier makes an awkward face be he smiles he's finally getting his first match he finally gets to test out his strength against another They both put their gloves back on and walk to a corner of the ring being diagonally from each other*
Klaus: Alright, y'all two. I want a clean fight, James. I know you know the rules, and Javier, we just went over the rules, so I think we're good. Are you ready?
James, Javier: ready
Klaus: Alright let's get to it then
*Klaus signals them off and steps out the ring james and javier walks up to each other touch gloves then take 2 steps backwards then they get too to start off james takes the first swing it's a wide right swing but javier steps back right out of range james regains his balance and follows up with a uppercut but he barely misses again james would then try faking attacks he goes for a wide right swing but stops just before javier dodges then follows up with a a straight left punch it connects it stings alittle but no pain javier smiles and goes for a low uppercut straight to the gut james holds his stomach for a second as his eyes spike hold in the pain but nonetheless he still smiles they back up for a few second so james can recover*
Javier: You're pretty good that fake was nice
James: Thanks but you pack one hell of a punch *he coughs a bit* knocked the wind right out of me plus you're fast
*The gym members start to gather around the ring*
Javier: You good now also starting to look like we have some spectators
James: Phew yeah I'm good round 2 let's go
*they tap gloves again but there's no step back they go straight to it james starts with a short right hitting javier in the arms javier follows up with a right straight hitting the top right of james horse james goes with a right short then a left uppercut as the right short was a fake the left uppercut lands on javiers chest but javier continues with a left wide swing faking it but following throu with a short right just barely landing grazing james right arm its javier first time faking he's learning it james then follow throu with a left straight it hits pushing javier back james forgot to pull his punch but seeing javier barely hurt from it he smiles immensely and goes all out james closes the distance he mixes up his style faking like crazy left wide then right straight connects uppercut fake left wide fake right short connects straight right fake left short connects left wide right straight connects left short fake right short fake uppercut to the chest connects left wide connects right short connect left straight fake right short connects left straight connects he's mixing up javier but javier is smiles he's receiving a few bruises but that's all he's tanking each hit then finally javier does a right straight with full force to the chest after hearing a few cracks javier face is in shock and tries to pull back his punch but its too late he sends james flying out the ring and straight on the floor*
Javier: Oh my god, are you ok?
*he takes his gloves off and rushes out ring to where James is He's still smiling*
I thought you could take a full force hit I'm sorry
James: It's all good just happens I'm surprised to tanked all those hits to be honest
*Javier helps James up*
Klaus: If I knew you could've done damage like that newbie I would've had one of our top guys spar with you I'm sorry James that you got hurt like you did I'll cover any medical fees
James: Thanks Coach cshhh ouch it's bad I'm gonna to the hospital javier you take care of the sparring match was great
Klaus: Yeah, I'll give you a ride, Javier. You're done for now, relax until I get back or something, alright, kid?
Javier: Yes sir he goes and sits on a bench *After Klaus and James leave for the hospital the gym members who were watching the sparring match gather around Javier praising the sparring match but he felt empty he didn't really pay attention to those surrounding him he was in his own world lost in thought then a bigger guy walked through the crowd he stood a staggering 6'11 dirty brown hair, bright golden eyes that shine as if god had bless him, super muscular medium width shoulders, thick calves and light skin complexion but no one in the crowd was scared of him more like they were happy to see him he was a gentle giant in every right accompany him was woman standing 5'5 dark red hair, and deep ocean blue eyes she was stunning her curves perfect not a hourglass build but more with wider with define muscles more chiseled than most men in the gym her muscles didn't take away from her beauty in the slightest and dark brown skin complexion but she was a reserved woman people mainly knew her because she's always with the gentle giant as an inseparable duo they duo walked in front of the crowd placing themselves between the crowd and javier*
Gentle giant: ok guys that's enough back to your workouts now it was a great fight to watch but friends need space to breathe
Redhead girl: You heard the big lug
*The crowd dispersed reluctantly as they went back to working out, conversating, or sparring the duo turned to Javier looking at him*
Gentle giant: Hey, friend, are you good? You seem pretty distraught about the fight. You feel bad about what happened to James, right? He'll be fine trust me he's had worse *The gentle giant held out his hand to shake Javier's*
*Javier snaps back and listens to the gentle giant afterwards he stands up and shakes the giant's hand*
Javier: Thanks for the assurance, and yeah, I did feel bad, plus something else, but that's not important. I'm Javier, Javier Trevino. What are y'all's names?
*He smiles gently*
Gentle giant: I'm Axel, Axel Kenith nice to meet you Javier your quite strong for such a small frame do you have muscle hypertrophy by any chance
Javier: I don't know I never tested it
Redhead: Ahem
Axel: So sorry excuse me this is my childhood friend Samantha
Samantha: I can introduce myself big lug but yeah I'm Samantha Milcroft nice to meet you Javier and don't mind his questions he's just into muscle he is a muscle head after all
Axel: Samantha isn't that being too harsh
*he said rubbing the back of his head like he's guilty*
Javier:Anyways I don't even know what to do to be honest after that fight was thinking about heading home but I should wait for thhas e couch to get back I still feel bad
Axel: How about you work out with us I'm not really much of a sparring partner I'm more of a pacifist to be honest but I'm not afraid to put my fist up and fight for what I believe in so what do you say just until Klaus gets back
Javier: Sounds fun sure I'm in
