Cadmus Upsilon Site

Level-43- ISO 01

California

March 12, 2013

1st POV

Cadmus Upsilon's Isolation Levels are very different from the levels above. The upper levels looked like a normal Cadmus facility with laboratories, offices, storage areas, and rooms with specialized machinery. The Iso levels are more like a massive fortress or prison where test subjects are kept secure.

Level one of the Isolation Levels has high security cells where the mind-controlled servants were imprisoned. One may wonder why people controlled by the Starro-tech strain needed to be imprisoned, but the scientists needed to be sure the otherworldly subjects were completely under their control.

Rorschach's party – me, Raven, Jade, Blackfire, Starfire, Priss, and Max led by Rorschach, were reunited on level forty-two after my battle with the Hulk. We also add Entrapta to our group, apparently Rorschach found in crawling in the vents like a Xenomorph and adopted her.

Now, we are walking together as a group. Thankfully, Rorschach had some cleaning blobs in his inventory otherwise I would be leaving radioactive footsteps. He also has a form of technology that cleansed everything of radioactive particles. Another invention that will turn Cognito into even greater environmental heroes.

"We were fighting on every level, then nothing?" I ask.

"As I said on the surface, they only had a limited amount of Starro-tech. Those were the hundred plus subjects they kept in those cells."

The cells in question are thick reinforced concrete prison cells with metal bars, metal doors lacking keyholes, and a strip of silvery material in front of the cell. My guess is it's some form of force field system, like the dumb brig cells in Star Trek (seriously one loss of power and the prisoners are free). The inside of the cells only has a touchless toilet, a sink with touchless faucets, and the foam beds with the frames bolted to the ground. It would be a good cell for mundane humans, but it wouldn't have done shit to stop the mind-controlled heroes that we fought.

"What about other defenses?"

"Surveillance cameras with hidden laser emitters, electrical incapacitation plates in the floor, heavily armed and armored sentry robots, optical camouflaged floating proximity mines, nerve gas release valves, and several other defenses all controlled by the main computer." says Rorschach, "All shutdown by me before we entered the facility. I even corrupted the back-up copies of the security programs so they can't even reinstall."

"Your hacking is so broken, Neo." I say to my best friend, "What about the scientists?"

"Do you remember Cadmus Beta?"

"More clones?"

"Bingo. Only these ones are programmed to be more nihilistic. They don't believe in morals or the soul or the value of human life, only in science and research. They uploaded copies of themselves onto the network, killing their current selves."

"Copies?"

"There are a lot of subjects and they hoped the copies would escape in the bodies of some of the clones. They thought we wouldn't check the clones for mental alterations."

While it is not healthy to be paranoid like Batman, the League should have been more careful with the handling of the clones. Anything that can be manufactured can also have hidden items implanted into them. Rorschach and Me had the Cadmus Beta Soldiers and Scientists thoroughly scanned, physically, mentally, and metaphysically. We found hidden commands and biotech implants that should have been found by the League. I don't blame Star Labs, because I know they have connections to Cadmus.

"Did you manage to stop them?" asks Priss.

"They believe only the knowledge matter, so I made it so that was all their clones received. Those clones possess all the knowledge of the scientists, but no memories or personalities of the predecessors."

We did find some strange people in some of cells. In one cell there was a sixteenth century Spanish conman, his blonde optimistic friend, and a beautiful Aztec woman. Apparently, Cadmus has gotten their intel wrong and captured them believing them to be magical or gods. The three were more than a little terrified of the strange group, with the woman crying something about Mictlantecuhtli when she saw me. We eventually got them to follow one of Rorschach's robotic spider servants to the surface. As they leave, I turn to Rorschach and comment.

"Tulio, Miguel, and Chel from El Dorado. We are running into Disney characters."

"Did you watch the movie?"

"Never got a chance. I did listen to Caleb Hyles awesome cover of 'It's Tough to Be a God'." I say with a smirk, "Also that animated gif of Chel going below the belt."

"Whose is Mictlantecuhtli?" asks Entrapta

"Mictlāntēcutli, in Aztec mythology, is a god of the dead and the king of Mictlan (Chicunauhmictlan), the lowest and northernmost section of the underworld. Other names given to Mictlantecuhtli include Ixpuztec "Broken Face", Nextepehua "Scatterer of Ashes", and Tzontemoc "He Who Lowers His Head". Mictlantecuhtli was associated with spiders, owls, and bats."

We finally get pass the maze of holding cells and see Isolation Level's true splendor and horror. There are thousands of pods linked by cables and tubes to black pillars. The machines have a very organic design like a field of biomechanical plants and the pods being giant fruits. The pods themselves are oval, half black and half transparent. The transparent membrane showing a humanoid creature curled into the fetal position with numerous lines connected.

"How do you keep of bunch of super powered beings from escaping your facility or even attempting to escape? How do you ensure they will stay put until they can control you?" asks Rorschach.

"The Matrix." I say with a smile.

"Correct." says Rorschach, "A massive simulated virtual reality construct of the world created by artificial intelligences to keep the minds of the subjects under control. The differences are there are multiple ones, one for each base world and this is not just for humans."

"You take the blue pill—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." I say quoting Morpheus "So let's hand out some red pills"

"I'm a little confused. What's the Matrix?" asks Starfire

"It a very popular sci fi action movie from '99." I say to the flame-haired beauty, "A dark future where machines have enslaved humanity and humanity doesn't know because their minds are trapped in an artificial reality. There one hope is a messiah figure The One. I'll show you the movie later."

"Unlike the film, the subjects are not being used as a power source. Instead, their minds are linked together into a massive computer network that augments the simulations." says Rorschach, "The subjects are living normal by their standard lives. Anything that plants doubt in the simulation is erased from their memories and the simulation is edited."

"Spider-Man could be web slinging around New York when he notices a glitch that could lead to him realizing he's in a fake world. A second later, that memory is erased and the glitch is fixed." I say, helping explain Rorschach's words.

"There was only one flaw to their plan. When they attempted to capture a group of people and creatures existing in cyberspace, there data forms were absorbed into the network. As digital beings they were not subject to the simulation and one of them managed to escape until she found one of my computer cores."

"Digimon."

Digimon are monsters of various forms living in a "Digital World," a parallel universe that originated from Earth's various communication networks. Ophanimon managed to reach me and my Cable box computer core, and started this rescue mission.

"What did you do with Ophanimon, Rorschach?" I ask, looking at the masked man, "You seemed worried when you did scans of her?"

"I'm amazed you can tell my emotions with my mask." says Rorschach, then he explains, "They not only captured the Digimon, but they also captured the human partners. Entering this world damaged them and only way to save them was to trigger a corrupted fusion"

"Shit. How bad and how many?"

Rorschach pulls out his black tablet, which he is actually carrying instead of shoving it into his obscenely large Inventory. Entrapta is looking over his shoulder and I'm trying to ignore her.

"There were only eight survivors - Tachikawa Mimi, Takaishi Takeru, Yagami Hikari, Inoue Miyako, Matsuda Takato, Makino Ruki, Kanbara Takuya, and Orimoto Izumi"

A woman dressed in a flowery rose-theme costume with hip-length black boots, a cape composed of four huge white petals and a high leafy collar, and rose-shaped headgear covering her eyes. She also has thorny vines wrapped around her upper torso and arms to form long whips.

A holy knight dressed in gray-and-black armor decorated with blue and gold. He has five pairs of golden metal eagle wings and winged helmet with a cross symbol. It bears the Crest of Hope on its plackart (the lower part of the chest plate), and the symbols on its breechcloth are a quote of Sephiroth's from Final Fantasy VII which reads "All shall be one with me".

Ophanimon as she appeared to me in the Doomsday Bunker, but the image is grayed out. I'm guessing it shows that she escaped from the Cadmus computers.

A woman dressed in a white bodysuit from head to toe, only showing the mouth. There is a mix of dark gray and gold medieval armor, with metal-tipped winged boots and a winged belt-buckle. She has two huge wings with huge red-tipped white feathers and spread wings extending from her helmet/head with a gold ponytail coming out the back. She is armed with a sword, a shield, and crossbow. There is also small gold metal bird flying near her.

A large white knight with red and gold decoration. He has a dragon-theme decorated helmet, a large red cape, a huge heavily decorated round shield, and a long lance. He also has a thin long plume extending from the helmet.

A young woman covered in a skintight black outfit, with the upper body covered in fox-theme gold armor including a fox head buckle and fox mask covering her upper face. Her lower arms and lower legs are covered in gold-decorated purple gloves and boots marked with the Taji (yin/yang symbol). Her weapon is a golden shakujō - a staff topped with metal rings traditionally carried by Buddhist monks, particularly in the East Asian Buddhist tradition.

A huge humanoid with black/gray armored body covered by gold-edged red plates. He has a demonic helmet only showing the eyes and mouth with three long horns. He has a long mane of spiky gold hair and has two huge feathery gold wings. He looks like he's radiating heat.

A beautiful blue-haired woman dressed in pink-decorated white with exposed upper face and exposed stomach. Her boots and gauntlets are high tech resembling jet turbines and she has large jet wings. Her weapon looks a little silly as it's a giant blue-and-white pinwheel. At least it as spear tip on the other end.

"There digital forms are Rosemon, Seraphimon, Ophanimon, Valkyrimon, Dukemon, Sakuyamon, Aldamon, and JetSilphymon" says Rorschach, "Ophanimon stressed herself to appear in the real world, so I'm transferring the lot of them into my own cyberspace. They should be OK until we can think of something better."

*DOOM*

"What is this cute thing?" asks Blackfire.

Thank you for distracting me from this horror. Rorschach and me turn to see Blackfire looking at a round chamber different than the liquid filled pods. Instead, the pod is a dome-shape machine like an incubator housing the animal on a pillow.

Starfire and Entrapta quickly join Blackfire looking at the adorable little mammal.

What is inside is a mammalian, quadrupedal creature with primarily brown fur. The tip of its bushy tail and its large furry collar are cream-colored. It has short, slender legs with three small toes and a pink paw pad on each foot. It has long pointed ears with dark brown interiors and a small black nose.

"Is that a Pokémon!?"

"Yes. National Pokédex number #133. Eevee – the Evolution Pokémon."

"Pokémon. There based on a game, right?" asks Starfire, "I remember Wally playing a game on a handheld during a mission."

"Eevee!"

Blackfire is now holding the now awake Eevee in her arms. Eevee seems to like the orange-skinned woman holding him and I have a feeling Konami is going to a roommate.

"Pokémon are intelligent creatures possessing metahuman abilities based on various elements. With enough experience, usually combat, they can metamorphosize into stronger forms. This is inaccurately called Evolution by the game. In the games, humans capture and train Pokémon so they can compete with each other." explains Rorschach.

"He's the smart one, isn't he?"

I look down and realize that was the Eevee speaking. My omnilingualism has struck again. First, I hear the words of Dolphins, now I hear Pokémon.

"He's the smartest man in the world."

"You can understand me?" asks the wide-eyed Eevee.

"You got it, shorty."

"Short? I'm a full foot in height. Your taller than a Dragonite and more muscular than an Machamp."

"My name is Ash Grey."

"My name is Evo! Are you a hybrid? You smell like a Darkness and Fire." says Evo, rapidly while the girls watch the conversation with amazement and amusement, "The orange girls smell like fire and wind, but they don't have wings. The grey girls smell like darkness and ghost. The dark-skinned girls feel like psychic and fighting types. Are you all Hybrids?"

"Hybrids. Rorschach?"

"Accessing files. Eevee's capture was considered high priority because it was able to metamorphosize into eight separate forms – 'Eeveelution' as the gamers call it." says Rorschach looking at the files. "They were successful in cloning this Eevee."

"Evo. His name is Evo. He told me."

"They cloned Evo and were able to trigger the 'evolution' of each one. They then proceeded to Stage 2."

"Stage two?" I inquire, guessing it's something bad.

Eight of the pods, all next to each other are illuminated. Holographic screens appear showing the contents of each pod. They are all near-human humanoids with animal features.

The first is a blue-skinned girl with dark blue hair, long webbed ears and amphibious features similar to Atlanteans. She even has a long tail extending in a fin.

"Vaporeon."

A young man with wild spiky blonde hair and long yellow/black ears.

"Jolteon"

A young dark-skinned woman with fluffy bone hair, long orange-red ears. She also has a bushy yellow tail.

"Flareon"

A young man with purple skin, huge purple ears, a red gemstone in the center of his forehead, and a long purple tail that splits at the end.

"Espeon"

A young African-American woman with black skin, black hair, and long black ears with yellow stripes. She also has yellow circles on her forehead, shoulders, and hips, and a black tail with a yellow stripe ring.

"Umbreon"

A young man with yellow-green skin similar to the Hong Kong plant manipulators with red-brown hands and feet. He also has green-tipped long ears resembling leaves, a green vegetation tail, and numerous vines.

"Leafeon."

A young woman with light-blue skin, pointed ears, and short dark blue hair with thick front lochs. She also has a dark-tipped tail and dark blue hands and feet.

"Glaceon."

The final one is a woman and looks for the spokesperson for cancer awareness. She is white skinned with short pink hair, long dark pink ears, and dark pink hands and feet. She also has a dark pink tail and blue-tipped white ribbons extending from her hair and neck.

"Sylveon" I finish, "They made Pokémorphs! Why?"

"Easily mass-reproducible metahuman weapons. When compared to human metas, these hybrids cost less to clone and program. Why bother to kidnap random kids when you can just clone an army of elemental warriors?" says Rorschach, "There are eighteen types of Pokémon, that's a lot of diversity for mad scientists to play with."

"It could be worse." I say as I calm myself, "It could be Pokégirls."

"Pokégirls?" asks my girls and Entrapta.

"Rule 34"

"Oh!" Even the extraterrestrials have been around long enough to learn an Internet maxim which asserts that Internet pornography exists concerning every conceivable topic. "Rule #34 There is porn of it. No exceptions."

Entrapta blushes again and I can guess she realizes rule34 would include her and her friends in my world. Sometimes being a genius can be a curse as you can vividly imagine a possibility.

"Guys! I think I found a Bigger Problem!" says Priss, sounding scared and panicky.

One of the Pods is glowing a violent purple light. Its occupants' open eyes are glowing brightly. The pod lifts off the ground, tearing apart wires and tubing with its movements. The bio-fluid inside the pod, swirls and bubbles with the surging psychic emissions of its contents. Finally, the pod violently explodes into a cloud of droplets and mist, as its former prisoner expands its psychic shield.

It is a bipedal, humanoid Pokémon with some feline features. It is primarily gray with a long, purple tail. On top of its head are two short, blunt horns, and it has purple eyes. A tube extends from the back of its skull to the top of its spine, bypassing its neck. It has a defined chest and shoulders, which resemble a breastplate. The three digits on each hand and foot have spherical tips. Its tail is thick at the base but thins before ending in a small bulb. Its body is very wrinkly with the wrinkles on its head making it look like a brain. The very real Pokémon has stripes which indicate its artificial origin.

"Mewtwo – the Genetic Pokémon. An enhanced clone of the Mythical Pokémon Mew created by Dr. Fuji and Team Rocket."

Mewtwo's glowing eyes lock on me, understanding my words, even the Pokémon is unable to hear my thought due to my psychic immunity. It can't talk to me with telepathy or move me with psychokinesis, but it can rip objects out of the ground and throw them at me hard enough to smash me into a wall. The most powerful psychic doesn't even let me get out of the resulting crater, holding me in place with psychically manipulated metal and plastic. I could use my newly acquire death vision on Mewtwo but I actually like "him" (he actually sexless, but I often refer to it as a him).

"How do you know those names, Dark-Type?" says the legendary. I'm guessing he's using his psychic power to generate the sound.

"The history of one world is the fiction of another." I reply, as I slowly push myself out of the hole, but slowly and non-threatening as possible. "I saw your tragic origin as a child."

"You saw them? How they used and abused me? How they left me without answers and hunted me?"

"I also saw what they took from you."

"What?"

"Amber-two or should I say Ai-two"

MewTwo reacts to the name with shock, dropping the objects he was levitating.

"That name... It's so familiar. Why?"

"Her last words were 'Thank you for caring about me... and don't cry Mewtwo. You should be happy. You're alive, and life is wonderful.' Those are the words stolen from you."

Mewtwo lets out a scream, his psychic power surging out of him in pulses. He's breaking through the barriers within his mind. They could erase the memories from his mind, but not from his heart. MewTwo is soon crying and so it's Priss. She must be seeing it as well.

"Who are you?" says Mewtwo as the tear slow stop, sounding oddly calm.

"Ash Grey. Binary clone of human and alien combined with a virus. The Kitaen sisters over there are also clones – mixes of human and two different aliens." I explain, dusting myself off, "Me and my party are here to free people kidnapped by an evil organization of mad scientists and the clones they made as weapons."

MewTwo looks at me, then looks at Priss. She winces slightly so I'm guessing they are doing some telepathic communication. He then turns to Rorschach.

"May I join your party? I would like to help."

"Welcome to the Team, Mewtwo." says Rorschach.

I walk up to MewTwo not looking even the slightest bit injured and he raises an eyebrow.

"Just how durable *are* you, Ash Grey?"

"I make Regice look softer than Happiny and Magicarp."

MewTwo looks at Priss as to ask "Is he serious?" and she sends back more information about me.

"You are seriously broken." says MewTwo looking at me. It warms my non-existent heart.

In the Pokémon word, a Fire/Dark Pokémon whose stats increase when attacked and resistance to each element increases with every attack of each element. It would be pretty broken.

Rorschach types something on his tablet and robots descends from the upper levels. While he can't form portals inside the Isolation Levels, he can form portals in the level above (especially with everything cleared out by mine and Hulk's little fight.

Instead of the normal BB Units, what emerged are best described as robotic spiders. I personally think they resemble Tachikomas from Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex - spider-type multi leg/multi ped combat vehicle equipped with artificial intelligence. These oddly cute metal spiders crawl around, disconnecting pods and transporting them to portals. It reminds me of ants forming a line to carry resources.

MewTwo looks at Priss again and she sends data about Rorschach/Doctor Genus. Now, MewTwo looks like someone hit him over the head with a baseball bat or maybe a Sudowoodo.

1st POV

I'm getting increasingly worried as our group descends.

The next level is similar to the one above with Matrix-style pods connected to black pillars by wires and tubing. Cadmus Upsilon's Isolation Levels don't have a singular elevator system going through all the levels. Instead, there are only stairs and elevators that go between two levels. In the case of a major escape or complete removal of control, the bulkheads would come down separating the levels into smaller cells. These cells could then be flooded with water, gas, or chemicals to neutralize the subjects. Thankfully, Rorschach's malicious program disabled the entire security system.

As we reach a new level, Rorschach uses his tablet to access the records. Me and Entrapta look over his shoulder, until he pulls out two more tablets and hands them to both of us. Entrapta makes an excited noise, while I just switch on the device. The three tablets are linked and with a click, I can see the files that Rorschach can look at.

I look at the list of very familiar names.

Scott Summers, Jean Grey, Anne Marie, Ororo Monroe, Katherine Pryde, James Howlett, Laura Kinsey, Kurt Wagner, Henry McCoy, and Robert Drake. The ten X-Men I thought on a previous level. X-23 (Laura) isn't part of the normal X-Men team.

Lancer Alvers, Pietro Maximoff, Wanda Maximoff, Todd Tolensky, and Fredrick Dukes. Mystique's Brotherhood is also here.

Remy LeBeau, Piotr Rasputin, and St. John Allerdyce. Some of Magneto's Acolytes.

Sharon Smith and Angelica Jones? Catseye and Firestar of the Hellions?

Lina Chakram? Xi? Althea Delgato!?

I click the last two names and two photos appear.

One is a reptilian humanoid with green scaly skin, sharp claws, with gold patterns on the chest and around the eyes.

The Other is a young woman with long black hair dyed with electric blue streaks. I can see gills on her neck like Atlanteans.

"Oh My God!"

"What is it?" asks Rorschach.

"Althea Delgado. This isn't X-Men Evolution. It's Red Witch's Misfits!"

"Misfit?"

"It's a crossover between X-Men evolution 2000 and Gi Joe 1983. It started with a trilogy - Ronin Toad, Parallel Lives, and The Misfit Chronicles. After that there were 25 main stories ending with a story called Final Chapter in 2010. The author then switched to Archer 2009 series and I stopped reading her works. "

I've seen clips of Archer on YouTube, but I never got into watching it. I was a child of the 80s loving GI Joe and I loved the X-Men: Evo series when it was on.

"I'm guessing you were a Big Fan?"

"Hell Yes! I'm even part of the community and wrote a couple Misfit stories, adding to the Misfit multiverse."

"So, it's a good thing?"

"Nope. We are screwed. The Misfits cause chaos wherever they go, it doesn't matter if it's another dimension, the depths of space, or an alternate Earth they cause chaos. This also means not do we have the Phoenix Force on our world, we have two people possessing the power of Destiny Stone."

"Destiny Stone?" asks Jade.

"It's an entity that can go one-on-one with the Phoenix Force and the Phoenix can devour STARS! When the users tap into those powers, they are like characters from a Final Fantasy game!"

Many of the women wince hearing that declaration. That is because by Cognito Cable included "Final Fantasy" animated series based on the most popular series with obscene levels of animation quality. It's kind of like how Arcane was to League of Legends.

"So, we should keep them in storage?" asks Jade.

"Unfortunately, Jean Grey is already awake and she possesses the Phoenix Force. The Destiny Stone is needed to be keep Phoenix in check." I say, "Are you positive you can't just return them to their own world?"

"Every time he opens a portal, the previous connection is lost and a new universe is opened. If this was done with science it would be easy, I could just read their dimensional frequency and open portals with those frequencies. If it was pure magic, it's possible I could trace the magic flow. The problem is it was done with an unstable mix of two." says Rorschach, displaying an image of a moving poly-chromatic three-dimensional snowflake on his tablet. The snowflake is composed of millions of tiny colored particles which change as they turn and as sectors move. "The odds are not good. One in ten to the power of one hundred ninety-six thousand eight hundred thirty-three."

"Those have to be the worst odds I have ever heard!" says Entrapta, "Amazing. Is this a three-dimensional map of the multiverse?"

"Yes." says Rorschach before switching back to the lists. I continue to look through the names and I am relieved to find certain people. People that can limit the chaos by a small degree.

"Yes! I think I found some hope. Marvin F. Hinton, Courtney A. Krieger, Cooper G. MacBride, Edwin C. Steen, Bree Van Mark, Charlie Iron-Knife, and Thomas S. Arashikage!"

"Who the hell are they?" asks Jade looking confused. The other girls look like they were going to say the same thing, but Jade beat them to it.

"Members of GI Joe and the Misfit handlers. Roadblock, Cover Girl, Low-Light, Lifeline, Bree, Spirit, and Storm Shadow. Cool, Snake-Eyes is also here."

"I thought that Storm-Shadow worked for Cobra?" asks Rorschach.

"He infiltrated Cobra trying to find the person that killed his sensei the Hard Master. It turned out the assassin was Zartan. One of the few things the second live film got correct."

1st POV

"Is that what I think it is?"

I'm looking at an object in Rorschach's hand. It's a heart-shaped arc reactor that I know is equipped with nanotechnology.

"Cinematic Iron Man Armor MK LXXXV"

"The eighty-fifth and final Iron Man Armor built sometime after the traumatic events of Infinity War."

"Oh Wow!"

The girls are impressed by this one. I actually had an Avengers film marathon at the Doomsday Bunker, so they actually know about the man who built this armor. Thanks to Cognito Cable, all of the Cinematic films were at their best with Iron Man Three having a better villain.

"Why is that locked in safe instead of being shipped to research and development?" I ask, looking at the wall safe it was removed from. It seems like an odd and out of place to exist in level filled with black towers and pods out of HR Giger's dreams.

"Some sort of security device they can't disarm. If the armor gets more than a certain distance, it will lockup. It makes sense he wouldn't want his most powerful armor stolen like a badge."

"Pepper and Morgan are also here, so at least this family didn't get ripped apart."

"I guess they were captured at their house."

The list continues to go on and on, most of them being characters from Marvel.

"More versions of Iron Man. I guess that want super-geniuses to build tech for them. The comic book version was able to create Godbuster armor and an armor made of a virtual universe, so it's possible he could compete with someone Rick smart if there were many of him."

"Cognito Inc just got some new business partners." replies Rorschach.

"A few versions of Steve Rogers for the Super Soldier Serum and many Gamma-mutates like the Hulk. We are going to a have a green community and I don't mean like Hong Kong or Cognito farms. Do you think you can cure some of them?"

"Did you forget who you're talking to? Doctor Genus could depower all of them, but some of them being fully in control could be better. "

"Professor Hulks." I comment, then look at the list again, "Thor and other Asgardians. Mjonir was left in the portal room because nobody in this place can move it. Versions of Black Widow and Hawkeye. Vision. Scarlet Witch. Ant-Man? Wasp? Black Panther? Tigra? Why grab Ant-Man or Wasp when we have Atom? You could argue the Heart-shaped Herb for Black Panther. Why capture Tigra? We already have a feline woman in the form of Wonder Woman's rogue Cheetah."

Cheetah – Dr. Barbara Minerva is an archeologist who was transformed during a trip to Urzari Jungle, Okarango Region, Bwunda. She became the wife of the ancient plant god Urzakartaga and became a ravenous, cannibalistic cheetah woman who needs to kill to maintain her powers. While Tigra – Greer Nelson's transformation was magical in most cases, it was a permanent transformation instead of an empowerment.

Next is an obscene number of Spider-people. There are so many male and female spider-themed heroes, they must have gotten them during a Spider verse event. Spider-verses include multiple alternative versions of Spider-Man that had appeared in various media, united against a common threat. In the comics, it was all the Spiders against a family of energy vampires known as the Inheritors who devoured Spider Totems.

"My new worst nightmare." says Max Kitaen, "Sis and me only had to fight five Spider-men, but the list contains fifty of them!"

There was an absolutely amazing 2018 film which Miles Morales became Spider-Man due to Kingpin and a female Doc Ock messing around with dimensions. Miles got to meet a broken Peter Parker, Spider-Gwen, Noir Spider-Man, robot pilot Peni Parker, and cartoon Peter Porker. I wonder if Cognito Cable already has the sequel.

"Remember, most of them are heroes. Without the brainwashing, they would be helping us kick Cadmus rears." says Priss.

More versions of the Fantastic Four and the expanded Future Foundation with Valerie Richards, but no Franklin Richards? I guess transferring an insanely powerful reality warper across realities would break things.

"Nico Minoru, Karolina Dean, Gertrude Yorkes, Chase Stein, Molly Hayes, Victor Mancha, and Xavin? They caught the Runaways?" I say looking at the names. I click on Molly's name and her image appears. It's a young green-eyed tanned girl instead of a brown-eyed Hispanic girl – so comic book instead of cinematic universe.

"Is that a Raptor!?" says Jade

"No. That is a Deinonychus. The Jurassic Park renamed them Velociraptor because he felt it sounded "more dramatic". This one was created to be telepathically controlled and is called 'Old Lace'."

"Who are the Runaways?" asks Starfire.

Holographic Images appear. A gothic beauty wielding a golden staff with ring-like headpiece. A flying girl glowing all the colors of the rainbow, like a LSD trip. A curvy girl standing next to dinosaur. A young blonde with fiery gauntlets. A young girl with glowing eyes lifting a bulldozer over her head. A young Chicano man with green eyes glowing with blue sparks as objects magnetically float around him. The final is a green-skinned extraterrestrial in dark purple with an arm made of fiery rock.

"A bunch of superpowered teenagers that ran away from home when they learned their parents were super villains called The Pride. Their parents were thieves, time-travelers, evil magicians, mutant supremacists, mad scientists, and alien war criminals, who made a pact with ancient gods called the Gibborim. Sacrifice a girl once a year and eventually rule the new world deal. When they started having kids, they decided to pass the prize to them. Thing is they were villains, but they were also Good Parents. They ended up raised good kids – Heroes."

"So, what happened?"

"The Pride's pact was messed up and they were all killed, but the Runaways survived. Dumbass heroes thought they could separate them and have them live normal lives, but after all the shit they went through they refused to be separated. Victor Mancha and Xavin joined later, the former being the son of killer robot Ultron and the latter being an alien super soldier arranged to marry Karolina – the alien of the Runaways."

It takes a while to digest that bit of information. As they reach the stairs and elevators between Level-45- ISO 03 and Level 46- ISO 04, I find another set of names I have to voice.

"Katherine, Julie, Jack, and Alexander Power. Also known as Energizer, Lightspeed, Mass Master, and Zero-G of the Power Pack. They received their powers when they were still preteens, making them the youngest superheroes ever. They got their powers from a horse alien."

"Huh?"

"Aelfyre "Whitey" Whitemane. Kymellian xenologist with a love of Earth culture and books. When he discovered the reptilian Snarks were interested in the work of physicist Dr. James Power of Earth, he raced to intercede before the Kymellians' ancestral enemies got ahold of Power's technology. He died, but gave his power to the kids." I explain, "I didn't originally know much about the Power Pack. I only really became interesting after reading Misfits."

"Why!? Why is my life so Strange." asks Priss. I guess the weirdness is getting to her.

"You are a character in a comic book universe." I reply.

1st POV

[Accelerator]

[Last Order/Misaka 20,001]

"Are you pranking me!? Accelerator!?" I say looking wide eyed. After going through hundreds of Marvel characters including the Power Pack, you think I wouldn't be surprised anymore. I was wrong and I'm a big enough Monster to admit it.

"Whose Accelerator?" asks Starfire

"The 1st-ranked Level 5 and the strongest esper currently residing in Academy City. He was targeted all his life by researchers and assassins due to the potential of his power. Only believing in power and trusting no one, he became a twisted and maniacal person. While fighting, he invokes fear and is a sadistic nutcase, sounding totally unhinged. I absolutely loved watching him after his heel-face turn!"

"His power is vector manipulation. It creates a thin field around him, which allows him to modify the vector values of anything he touches. This means anything from redirecting bullets to smashing armored vehicles to creating plasma balls to redirecting bio-electricity or blood in a person's body." explains Rorschach.

"They must have used Last Order against him. She is his ward." I say looking at Misaka 20001 "She is the 20,001st Sister, a clone of Misaka Mikoto, that was produced as part of the Sisters Project for the Level 6 Shift Project."

"Why would they make over twenty thousand clones of a single girl!?" asks MewTwo

"Kihara Gensei was obsessed with an Esper achieving Level Six, where they transcend their limits becoming pseudo-divine. Accelerator was the one with the best chance to become Level Six, but at the current curriculum it would take two and half centuries. He believed Accelerator could achieve Level Six if he killed another level 5 – electrokinetic Misaka Mikoto - a hundred twenty-eight times. Since there was only one of her, they made twenty thousand lower-level clones of her for Accelerator to kill."

"WHAT!?" MewTwo yells, while the others look disgusted and horrified. I can feel the telekinetic vibrations in the air, he's angry.

"After his defeat by Magical Index's protagonist Touma, he went through a story arc and became an anti-hero. It's ironic, but he took in two wards – 20001, also known as Last Order and Extra also known Worst."

"How did that Touma guy beat Accelerator?" says Priss as she puts a comforting hand on MewTwo's shoulder.

"Touma has the Imagine Breaker which cancels out all supernatural effects with a touch, be they magic or psychic abilities. Even erasing Luck, Fate, Destiny, and Miracles. "I say to the psychically strong Kitaen sister, "It's actually revealed to be the reset button for the Universe. If something makes bad enough changes to the world, such as a god of magic rewriting reality, his hand can reset the world. Even back to 'factory settings' if you will."

Suddenly, we hear growling and it's not dogs. Instead, it's large, muscular black-skinned humanoids with beak-like faces and exposed brains. They are dressed only in pants and their movements are animalistic. The twenty-one humanoid monsters have each been augmented, but it's clear to Rorschach and me, what these beasts are.

"Nōmu."

In the super hero manga world of Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia), The Nomu, sometimes referred to as Artificial Humans, are deceased individuals whose bodies have been heavily modified by Doctor Kyudai Garaki in order to hold multiple Quirks and reanimated to act as mindless super-soldiers for the League of Villains, and later, the Paranormal Liberation Front. That is a direct quote from the wikia. On Ventura, I imitated the hero All Might's battle against the first Nomu, when I fought against humanoid abomination 11Eyes.

"I don't sense any minds in those creatures" says MewTwo, "I only sense instincts and a simple command to attack everything."

"This is going to be nasty."

They all resemble the Nomu that All Might fought at the USJ, the first one to attack in the anime, but they have been mutated into even more horrific monsters by Cadmus's experiments.

There seems to be four main types of mutated Nomu.

The first type has been infused with a supernatural substance, as their bodies have become unnatural beings. Their bodies are pitch black slowly emitting a dark mist. The only thing that stands out is white bone armor and spikes emerging from their black demonic flesh. The armor around the beak-like faces and upper torso have glowing red marks which match the unearthly glow of their eyes.

"Grimm"

The second type have thick bodies covered in oily black fur and having long thick tails. Their beaks contain rows of sharp, pointed teeth, even under the tongue. As they move, there flesh moves unnaturally as if the flesh is bubbling underneath it. If it wasn't for exposed brain, they would be identical to creatures from Toriko.

"Nitro."

The third type have leaner bodies with dark red brains and glowing red eyes. They also have beaks filled with sharp blood-stained teeth and are drooling severely. They have large webbed ears on the sides of their heads, which looks strange on them. They also have long limbs with leathery extensions from the wrists, which I quickly realize are bat wings!

"Vampire."

The fourth type actually scares me and not because they look like animated corpses of Nomu. They look like they're missing their skin with huge mutated arms. They also have bubbling necrotic flesh, large eyeballs on their shoulders, and long mutated limbs extending in spikes. There is only one type of monster they remind me of, the Tyrants of Resident Evil.

"Resident Evil Tyrants."

The Boss – the twenty first Nomu – doesn't look like it's brothers. While the other Nomu range from 195 cm (6'4¾") to 220cm (7'2½"), the Boss stands 230 cm (7'6½"). The Boss is grotesquely muscular with a thicker jaw, sharp claws, and a layer of bone spines going down it's back and covering the exposed brain. There are also sharp bone spikes coming out of its forearms and knuckles, out of its knees, and its chest. Very familiar bone spikes.

"K-Virus!"

The K-Virus or Keilipot Virus is a mutagenic virus harvested from my own body back when I was in Cadmus Beta. Based on the Doomsday Virus, it mutates Genomorphs based on environmental factors. It also appears to mutate artificial humans into Doomsday clones.

"Ash, you handle the Nitro, Jade and Raven the Grimm, Black and Star hold back the Vamps." yells Rorschach taking command, "I've got the Tyrants. Max, Priss, and MewTwo hold the Boss!"

Ash vs Nitro-Nomu

1st POV

The world of Toriko used to be a normal Earth until the arrival of extraterrestrial Gourmet cells. Those cells are physical embodiment of savoriness and Appetite Energy, the source of life and all known ingredients. They transformed the entire planet into an immense world filled with flora and fauna meant to be consumed. A world where impossible creatures exist to devour and be devoured. Plants and animals that resemble all forms of gourmet foods from rice composed of mini strawberries to islands of candy and a sea of alcohol.

The Nitro are a species of humanoid Monster Trolls with bird-like faces that possess incredible physical abilities and high intelligence. Monster Trolls are a race of monstrous beings born from the "appetite" of Gourmet Cells and exist to carry out their will. When scientists implanted the Gourmet cells into Nomu units, they were consumed and ended up resembling the bird-like Nitro.

"Come and get me you KFC Rejects."

One Nitro-Nomu opens its mouth wide showing an impressive number of teeth and its sticky muscular tongue extends and wraps around my wrist. It attempts to pull me towards it, only to end up pulling itself to me. My arm ends up down the creature's throat, but its teeth fail to pierce my grey skin. I deliver several hard punches, but they don't do the amount of damage I hoped. I also watch the cratered flesh reinflate and guess these monsters not only have Gourmet cell regeneration, but the Super-Regeneration and Shock Absorption of the USJ Nomu.

"Eyes bigger than your stomach, beaky."

Another Nitro-Nomu slashes at my face, only to violently break its claws. A third Nitro-Nomu attempts to bit my head, but I catch it. Unfortunately, my other arm soon ends up inside the third Nitro-Nomu's throat. I extend the bone spikes of my arms, piercing my opponents from the inside. The Nomu may be resistant to bludgeoning, but not against blades sharp enough to go between cells. The stubborn monsters still refuse to die.

I notice the other Nitro-Nomu are attempting to get around me to eat to easier food, but I can't allow that. I jump over the two running monsters and land Infront of them and then hit them both with a double lariat at super speed. The two monsters acting as giant oven mitts weaken my blows, but I do prevent them from escaping.

"Get Roasted!"

I start breathing fire and the Nitro-Nomu start burning. They are resistant to heat, but they can't handle the intense flames that I can generate. Inside the bowels of the two Nitro-Nomu around my arms, my bone spikes glowing white hot before I pull them free, destroying everything that tries to stop them.

Super-regeneration has two major weaknesses it can't handle scarring (which is why All-for-One didn't regrow his face after All Might punched it off) and cells can't regenerate if they are carbonized (as Endeavor proved time and again). My fire combined with the anti-regeneration toxin the bones produce.

I use my white-hot bone blades to slice the Nitro-Nomu to pieces, occasionally releasing blasts of my fire breathe. It almost looks like I'm cooking the Nitro-Nomu. After my last opponent finally dies, I'm still holding a piece of cooked meat and I take a bite out of curiosity. Eating your opponent might be strange on Earth, but I did spend four years in Hell.

"Tastes like Chicken."

It actually reminds me of my favorite fast food restaurant chicken. A Gamer notification pops up.

Blackfire and Starfire vs Vamps

3rd POV

The Vampire-Nomu were created when blood from an anime vampire was injected into USJ-Nomu. They became horrific bat-like creatures because they lack the human reason needed to restraint the bloodthirsty instincts. Even with chips planted in their brains, they can be barely controlled.

The vampires screech in pain and rage as they are hit by the starbolts and blackbolts. The plasma projectiles are fueled by ultraviolet energy, making them as deadly as sunlight to vampires.

The deadliness of sunlight to vampires varies from media to media. Camilla and Bran Stroker's Dracula were only weakened by sunlight, but it was fatal to the vampires of Jojo and Shiki. In the DC Universe, vampires receive no real harm, but it greatly weakens their powers.

The Vampire-Nomu are being injured by the bolts of solar plasma. The smoking grey wounds are taking longer to heal and when a wing tip is blow off, it crumbles completely to ash before it hits to the ground. The Vampires release deafening screams. This forces the Tamaranean to stop their barrage to protect their ears. The five angry bat-like creatures' leap into the air and fly towards the orange-skinned women for revenge.

The Tamaraneans are experienced in combat and aren't going down to Man-Bat rejects. Blackfire twists around, avoiding the claws of the first, and delivers a ball of plasma into the face of second, blowing it's head off. Starfire twists above her first opponent, then fires a huge blast into the back of the second. A blast that tears though and explodes out the chest, where the heart was located. They then come together and deliver a double punch to number five, sending the beast flying with missing fangs.

The decapitated and heartless Vampire-Nomu burst into flames as they fall, before shattering into ash and fragments of crumbling bone, before they can hit the floor. The two uninjured vampire-Nomu fly cautious from the sun-filled warrior maidens.

Queen Jade vs Grimm-Nomu

3rd POV

The shadow double of Jade Chan has grown over many years. She has been a wandering child, a ruthless warrior, an elderly shadow sorceress, and become a demoness by abandoning her humanity and became a Demon Queen of the Shadowlands. While she gained her own tribe of Shadowkahn – the Kunoichi – with her transformation, it is not the only Shadowkahn she can summon. She is the Queen of All Shadowkahn!

"Rise"

Jade summons the Tribe that once served the Oni General Midori – the Sumo Kahn. The Sumo Khan have greyish-blue skin and red eyes which is typical of Shadowkahn, but they are twice as tall and five times as wide as regular humans. They wear black suits with dark red accents, similar to their ninja counterparts. They possess immense durability and strength, which enables them to grab the Grimm-Nomu and force them to the ground. Normal human skin would be damaged by the touch of a creature of Grimm born of a God's Pool of Darkness. The Sumo Kahn born of the shadows feel nothing, but the breaking bones of the Grimm.

"Rise"

Jade summons the Tribe that once served the Oni General Ikazuki – the Samurai Kahn. The Samurai Khan wear dark blue, metallic samurai armor with only their hands are visible. They wear dark red belts and have one glowing, red eye. The Samurai Khan are strong, durable and experts at swordsmanship. There shadow swords capable of slicing through any known substance, including the bodies of the Grimm-Nomu.

As the abominations die, the black tar-like flesh of the Grimm disintegrates and vanishes completely, leaving only lifeless blackened bones to collapse to the ground.

Jade picks up one of the deformed skulls (a result of a Nomu's stupidly exposed brain) and shakes it like a cigarette tray. She gives it a shake and a smoking computer chip falls into her palm. The former brain implant sparks before going silent.

"I have to thank Ash for that Solo Leveling book"

Rorschach vs Tyrants

3rd POV

Rorschach pulls back his sleeve to reveal the Omnitrix watch. He smiles under his mask, then speaks the command.

"Decatrix Select: Swampfire!"

One monochrome transformation and Rorschach shifts species from enhanced human to enhanced Methanosian.

Methanosians are a humanoid plant-like alien species that normally have a green and black colored body with root-like feet, seemingly holding rocks. Also, their shoulders and head have red and yellow petals. Rorschach's Swampfire is a rare variant with white/black floral pigmentation, either albinism or being from an extremely dark world.

Swampfire sends out dozens of vines. Thes vines wrap around the horrifically mutated abominations born of anime and video game science., the pull them closer together. He then reaches for the symbol on his chest, rotating the hourglass universal Peace sign on ninety degrees its side to represent War.

"As much as I'd love to fight you guys for 'five minutes'..." *FWASH!* "Ultimate Swampfire!"

Rorschach's Ultimate Swampfire is massive. He appears to be a humanoid tree instead of a walking plant like Swampfire. Ultimate Swampfire's body is black in color, and now has three white gooey shells containing an organic, white-colored gel-like solution of napalm on each of his arms and a large one on his back. He also has a smaller pod on his front, through which his face can be seen. Ultimate Swampfire's body is appears to be composed of petrified wood.

"BIG BANG ATTACK!"

Massive brilliant blue-white flames wash over the Tyrant-Nomu. Their T-virus-mutated artificially altered flesh is consumed by otherworldly flames. The mutations were already unstable due to the conflict between the mutant progenitor virus strain and the [Super Regeneration] Quirk of the Nomu. It's only the lack of brain-activity of the Nomu that slowed the mutation, but as the fires burn, so do the restrictions break. The Tyrant-Nomu continue to mutate even as they burn becoming masses of tentacles, eyes, and teeth. Rorschach doesn't stop his fire until the charred fleshy blobs stop moving and oozing.

"Decatrix Select: Purge!"

The absolute massive monster tree alien is consumed by light and a small amphibian is left behind.

Gourmand is a small species with short stubby limbs, four-fingered hands, three-toed feet, six tubular growths on the back of their head, and three sets of gill-like markings on their face. Purge possesses white/black skin and sharp intelligent eyes. He also possesses immensely strong elastic tongues which he uses to grab one of the five blobs of mutated charred flesh. He stretches his mouth and swallows it. He then does the same to the other four.

"Tastes like bad takeout." he says as he pulls out a bottle of Cognito-brand mouthwash, biting off the cap and downing the contents before tossing the refuse in as well.

He then reverts to normal, mask back in place before swinging around and firing shots from his retro-futuristic pistols like a Hong Kong action star. The UV plasma bolts streak across the level and pierces the necks of the two remaining Vampire-Nomu. While crippled, the Tamaranean sisters are able to deliver their own lethal plasma bolts. The Vampires burn and shatter into burning ash and cinders before they hit the floor.

BOSS FIGHT

3rd POV

While the others have been eliminating the other twenty mutated Nomu, MewTwo and Raven have been holding back the K-Virus-augmented Nomu.

The six-foot-seven MewTwo is using his vast psychic power against the monstrous seven-foot-six creature born of mad scientists. This psychic power is enough to create a planet-destroying storm, teleported a ninety-two-billion-gallon lake, and sliced a building in half with a psychic construct in the form of a spoon. The psychic energies are so intense they form a dark sphere of distortions around the Nomu, cratering the floor beneath it. What is even more terrifying is within the darkness, the Boss – the Doom-Nomu - continues to move and struggle.

Raven used magic to create chains of darkness to bind Doom-Nomu . These mystical chains are made of magic and can't be damaged by physical force. Even Superman would fail to break them with his strength as they are magic and exist on the astral plane of existence. They even interfere with bioelectric and qi flows of a target, paralyzing their physical bodies. Only a being with soul or magic should be able to be able to release the chains. Much to her horror, the soulless Doom-Nomu is moving.

Suddenly, there is an explosion as both magic chains and psychic bubble shatter. The magical and psychic energies are released as a purplish-blue-white shockwave that sends MewTwo and Raven flying. MewTwo is rendered unconscious by the psychic feedback and Raven is unable to move with her magical flows disrupted.

Doom-Nomu's body continues to grow and mutate. He grows from 230 cm (7'6½") to 250 cm (8'2) and its muscles have become more defined. What's most alarm is its beaked avian face has flatted into a more humanoid face with sharp teeth, sharp facial bone protrusions, and glowing red eyes in sockets. The face of Doomsday! It's bone spikes multiple and lengthen as it lets out a roar.

It then leaps at Raven to delivering a lethal punch, only for Priss to deflect the blow. The force of the blow is still immensely powerful, enough to send Priss flying through the air. She hits one of the black towers hard enough to shatter it, leaving her covered in wounds with severely broken arms.

Doom-Nomu leaps into the air to bring its two meaty fists down on Raven, only for Priss to pull her away with telekinesis. The two are in the air when Doom-Nomu's fists make a massive crater in the floor, rupturing the ceiling of the lower level. The thunderous shockwave causes enough turbulence to cause them to fall back to Earth.

Doom-Nomu runs towards its prey like a crazed ape with death in its eyes.

Ash Grey appears in a burst of super speed with a lariat to Doom-Nomu. Doom-Nomu flips in the air from the insane force of the blow. Ash says two words "Flash Lariat". He then creates huge barbed bone spikes that he impales through the joints of Doom-Nomu before picking the struggling monster up, and holding the Nomu in place in a joint lock.

"Neo, do it now!"

"Special Beam Cannon!"

Rorschach's mana-based energy attack hits Doom-Nomu's chest and drills through the beast and strikes Ash's chest. The explosion of the beam against Ash's chest almost pushes the monster from Ash's grip.

"Blackfire! Starfire!"

The Tamaranean sisters unleash barrages of their personalized plasma bolts. They all target the penetrating wound caused by the pseudo-Ki-technique, keeping the beast from regenerating. The heat from ultraviolet plasma is so intense, the ground around Ash and the monster is melting.

They are merely delaying the Boss long enough for Rorschach to assemble his weapon. Five component modules emerge from inventory, floating in the air, before linking together and extending into a black-white Retro-futuristic rifle with four sixty-centimeter-long (23.6") prongs separated by an empty space for a barrel. As he grabs the gun grip, a female electronic voice is heard.

"Absolute Zero Cannon – Authorized User detected. Charging. Full charge. AZ Cannon Ready."

Rorschach aims and purple-white electricity arcs between the prongs like tesla coils. Soon an oval mass of blue and white plasma is held between the prongs.

"Fire!"

"Firing Main Cannon~"

The AZ Cannon fires a twisting beam of blue and white that pierces Doom-Nomu and Ash Grey. The virus mutated artificial human's body temperatures does the impossible and drops to absolute zero (−273.15 Celsius and −459.67 Fahrenheit). The AZ Cannon removes all existing energy from the Doom-Nomu's body, collapsing its entire atomic structure.

Ash is covered in super cold ice and droplets of liquefied gases, but he's still alive and moving very slowly. Then Ash begins to glow red and the ice and droplets flash to gas and steam off him. He releases a small version of his Abyss Roar attack and Doom-Nomu shatters into particles. Not a single living cell or viral particle remains, only an expanding cloud of molecular soup.

"I hate that Cannon. Also, why did it quote Red vs Blue?"

"You're not injured this time. In reply, because it was funny."

"The first time you used that gun, I ended up in pieces. I had to eat those pieces so I wouldn't spawn mini-mes like Lobo does. I don't taste good."

Rorschach is about to make a comment when he notices the Ash's girls are glaring at him.

"He volunteered to test my weapons and he's immune to it now." says Rorschach, defensive, "I had to use one of the BFGs otherwise a cell could have survived and it would have regenerated as a full Doomsday. A full-blown Doomsday rampaging around and causing apocalyptic levels of damage"

Cadmus Upsilon Site

Level-46- ISO 04

California

March 12, 2013

1st POV

Max was badly hurt in her fight against the Doom-Nomu and we tried to convince her to leave through one of the Spider-Bot portals. She was stubborn and insisted her shapeshifting and regeneration would fix everything. She may look OK now, but I'm going to have Rorschach do some medical scans later. We don't need her bones healing wrong because she was stubborn.

Raven drank a potion that calmed her magical flows. It's the magical equivalent of headache medicine. She was also able to heal MewTwo from the damage caused by the psychic feedback. Both Raven and MewTwo refuse to go back either.

It's been four levels since the Nomu Fights and it's been eerily quiet. Quiet outside the sound of Rorschach's army of Spider robots removing pods and carrying them out of the Iso levels, so they can be portal-ed to a new site. The only other sounds be our movements, the movement of doors, and an occasional burst of inner fanboy from me or Rorschach.

On Level-46- ISO 04, we discovered the Nomu weren't the only Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) characters captured by Cadmus. They must have been fascinated by the Quirks of the Heroes and Villains, like they were of the marvel's mutants and their X-genes. In the world of BNHA/MHA, over eighty percent of the world's population had some form of supernatural ability, but not all them were impressing, hence calling them Quirks.

"Thirty subjects other than the Nomu."

The Pro Heroes include the Toshinori Yagi, Nemuri Kayama, Rumi Usagiyama, Shinji Nishiya, Yu Takeyama, and Ryuko Tatsuma.

"The Symbol of Peace: All-Might, the R-Rated Hero: Midnight, the Rabbit Hero: Mirko, Kamui Woods, Mt. Lady, and Dragoon Hero: Ryukyu." I state their Pro-Hero names. At the curious looks of some of my companions, especially wide-eyed Entrapta.

"A super strong golden-haired hero."

"Like She-Ra?"

"All-Might always has a smile on his face, Adora was moodier I would say imagine a male She-Ra, but that would be He-Man."

"He-Man?"

"Eternia's equivalent to Etheria's She-Ra. In most timelines, He-Man is actually Adam, Adora's twin brother. "

"Adora has a brother!?"

"Possible. If a movie had been made after your series, maybe Adora would have found her brother on Eternia. Have your dad show you the series on Cognito Cable."

"OK!"

"Getting back to these Heroes. Midnight can produce a sleep-inducing aroma and dressed for sex appeal." I continue, "Mirko has the abilities of rabbit including insane leg strength, underestimate this bunny and you'll get pounded into the ground. Kamui Woods' Quirk allows him to control wood."

"Another one!?" exclaims Jade. The number of people that can manipulate plants, be it just growth, full on manipulation of the organism or just component, has increased. There are a dozen people that can specifically manipulate wood, so Kamui is going to be depressed when he learns he not unique anymore.

"Mt. Lady can transform into a Giant and Ryukyu can turn into a dragon. As everyone knows Dragons are awesome."

There is no argument as Dragons are awesome. Even MewTwo respects the Dragon types.

"Next, we have the Deku squad - Izuku Midoriya, Ochako Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Shoto Todoroki and Tsuyu Asui." I say looking the tablet, "Izuku also known as Deku is the kind heroic protagonist along with All-Might. He inherited All-Might's power, but if he doesn't control it, he ends up breaking his own bones. His friends have gravity control, super speed, fire and ice manipulation, and frog traits, respectively."

"They look like a nice group." says Entrapta

"Deku is shy, but very friendly. The worst his squad has done is Iida's attempt at murder."

"What? Why?"

"Hero Killer Stain was hunting down heroes that didn't meet his moral standards. One of the surviving targets including Iida's big brother. Iida wanted revenge, but was outclassed. Thankfully his friends came to the rescue."

"Deku Squad. Why Deku?"

"It was an insult originally. Izuku's former best friend Bakugo called Izuku Deku, because Izuku didn't have a Quirk. A Deku is a wooden doll with no limbs, so basically 'useless' or 'blockhead'. Ochako thought it mean Dekiru or 'I can do it!' and since Ochako is a cute nice girl, he decided Deku was now his nickname." I say with a smile, "The online name I went by in my original world Spaceman was originally an insult. Always dreaming with my head in the clouds and a lot of imagination. I decided to take that insult and make it my own."

"You knew Dad in the other world. So, what was Dad's name?

"New Mystery or as I call him Neo."

"Do you remember your original names?"

"I think it was part of the price for my powers. Even when I try to say the incomplete name it comes out as eldritch gibberish." I reply to Entrapta. I then try to say my shorted original world name, but what I saw in unpronounceable by human tongue and causes everyone who hears it (except for Rorschach) to wince.

"Let's not do that again." says Rorschach, "New lives, new bodies, new names."

I look at the list

"Baku squad - Katsuki Bakugou, Mina Ashido, Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima and Hanta Sero"

I tap on the glass.

"Bakugou is an explosive hothead with ego problems. He and Izuku used to friends until he got his Quirk and Izuku didn't. The problem was his ego was fed by his foolish school, then challenged by UA, and his social skills are bad – meaning he seeing people wanting to help him as mocking him. He's the rival with all the potential to be a great and an attitude problem. His power is literally causing explosions with explosive sweat."

"Gross." says Jade

"Mina secretes acid which she can manipulate the attributes of liquid. Denki can produce electric shocks and Eijiro can harden his skin to be like steel. Sero is a weird one, he has tape coming out of his elbows."

"Tape?" asks Raven.

"Adhesive tape like the stuff you put of parcels and packages."

The rest are not sure what to say after that.

"Kyoka Jiro and Fumukage Tokoyami from Class 1-A and Ibara Shiozaki, Setsuna Tokage, and Itsuka Kendo from Class 1-B."

"Kyoka Jiro has sound manipulating abilities linked to the earphone jacks extending from her earlobes. She is also an Amazing Singer. The Internet was flooded with her song 'Hero Too' from the School Festival. Fumukage Tokoyami is a bird-headed hero who can generate a sentient shadow called Dark Shadow."

"A sentient shadow? How independent and how powerful?" ask Jade. As a Demon Queen of the Shadowlands, shadow and darkness are her domain.

"Dark Shadow's personality and offensive power depend on the surrounding brightness levels. Under strong light, it's small and not good for combat. In complete darkness, it becomes huge and immensely power, but hard to control." I explain, "Tokoyami is also very Chunni. 'Revelry in the dark' and all that."

Raven winces at that. She encountered many goths and newbie sorcerers that qualify as Chūnibyō - a Japanese colloquial term typically used to describe early teens who have grandiose delusions, who desperately want to stand out, and who have convinced themselves that they have hidden knowledge or secret powers. It can become more severe if they actually do have powers.

"Ibara is a very modest and courteous devout Christian with vines for hair."

"Another plant person and this one is religious?" says Jade

"I can only imagine what she would think of our little group. "I say with my too-many-teeth smile. Ibara goes on about sinful actions, but I'm an embodiment of Tree of Death, the power of fallen angels. I'm also having pre-marital sex with the daughter of a Demon Lord and a Demon Queen.

I can imagine myself going up to her and introducing myself. Then while she is shocked, I would hand her a soul amulet I got in hell. "You want to save some souls, here's my wallet."

"Setsuna's Quirk allows her to split up her body into as many as fifty pieces and can move them at high speed. She kind of reminds me of Buggy the Clown from One Piece. "Most of them don't get the reference and I don't feel like introducing them to One Piece (that series is LONG). "Kendo's Big Fist allows the her to enlarge one or both of their hands to enormous sizes like a cartoon character. The strength increases with the size and she unaffected by the weight."

We stop at one pillar containing four pods.

"Mirio Togata, Nejire Hado, Tamaki Amajiki, and... Eri."

The girls notice my sad tone. There are very few characters that can move my heart, but Eri's story is one of them.

"Mirio is a smiling hero who like to say "POWER!" after winning a fight. He can dive into solid matter becoming intangible, but it often left him naked. Nejire is very kind, talkative and endlessly curious girl. Nejire's Wave Motion grants the user the ability to convert their vitality into energy that they can discharge as blast waves. Tamaki is shy, aloof, depressed person, the odd one of the three. Tamaki's Quirk grants him the ability to manifest the physical characteristics of anything he's eaten; for example, if he eats takoyaki, he can transform his fingers into octopus tentacles."

"Takoyakl?" asks the Priss.

"Octopus balls - a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special molded pan. I had some good ones recently from a new takeout place." says Max.

I look at the fourth pod's subject. A little girl around six or seven standing 110cm (3'7¼") with long white hair and a small brown horn on the right side of her forehead. I also know she has red eyes, even tho her eyes are closed and she is curled in the fetal position in the goo-filled pod.

"The granddaughter of a Yakuza boss, Eri's life was filled with sorrow. Her Quirk is the ability to rewind the time of person or object. It first manifested when accidentally rewound her father so much, he vanished completely. Her mother abandoned her to her grandfather, only for him to be placed in a coma by Kai Chisaki. Kai, her foster father, used her in horrific experiments trying to create an anti-quirk drug. Kai's Quirk Overhaul gave him the ability to disassemble and then reassemble matter with their bare hands, including living matter. He was able to hurt her again and again. Overhaul, as the villain's name matched his Quirk, wanted to make sure she would never smile again. Deku managed to save her and defeat Overhaul. It was during the U.A. School Festival, that she finally smiled again. I sure a thousand viewers were crying."

I look down at the tablet, trying not to remember that super emotional moment. My eyes narrow as I read one of the names and I walk away from Eri's pod to another nearby pod. Inside this pod is a twenty-seven-year-old Japanese man standing 179cm (5'10½") with dark brown hair. I also know he has gold eyes, because this Kai Chisaki, also known as Overhaul. He still has his arms, meaning this one is before his defeat at Deku's hand and his maiming at the hands of Tomura Shigaraki.

*Shink! *

I deploy one of my bone spikes, then drive it though the pod into Overhaul's skull. It only takes seconds for the life monitors to flatline, but I pump my toxins into the yakuza super villain's body. I push my hatred into the attack and the spike glows red.

Rorschach quickly covers Entrapta's eyes.

Inside the pod, my corrosive toxins breakdown everything and turn the once feared villain into soup, soon even that will breakdown into goo. A ghostly white image can be scene screaming, no sound is made in the physical world, then even the phantasm dissolves.

Priss looks a little nervous as she could hear some screaming on the astral plane. MewTwo is partially horrified as if he thinks I'm a Hybrid of Yveltal – the Legendary Pokémon that brings destruction, death and doom. He just saw a soul's destruction.

"Do you have a problem with this?"

"No. I have a little sister back in our home universe. I would have fought you to be the one to kill that monster." says Rorschach.

"I have a little sister, too. I also have a niece." I say with a smile, "If we fought, we would wreck the place and if we had flipped a coin or done rock-paper-scissors, your Gamer luck would have cheated."

"Just wait until my daughter is out of site next time." says Rorschach.

"Any other villains?"

"Himiko Toga, Jin Bubaigawara, Atsuhiro Sako, and Toya Todoroki. Also known as Toga, Twice, Mr. Compress, and Dabi." says Rorschach looking at the list, "They are not completemonsters, so I may be able to do something with them. The problem in their world was that 'Quirks are king', meaning things like human decency and compassion went to the wayside as the Metas became the dominant force in the world. Other than Mr. Compress who basically roleplays as Arsene Lupin, the others could pass for Arkham inmates."

Level-47- ISO 05

1st POV

On Level-47- ISO 05, we found more pods, but we also found storage rooms containing items that haven't been sent to research and development due to numerous issues, failed summoned objects, and failed subjects. The latter two a result of the items and subjects not reacting well to the laws of the Earth-DR Universe.

A small sleek gray/silver rod with a button switch and an extendable blue light tip. It almost like a mini flashlight, but I recognize it as enjoying the modern episodes of British program.

"A Sonic Screwdriver."

The sonic screwdriver is a multifunctional tool in the British science fiction television program Doctor Who and its spin-offs, used by the Doctor.

"I believe this sonic screwdriver belonged to the Tenth Doctor, my personal favorite incarnation."

"Who is the Tenth Doctor?" asks Entrapta. I feel like a teacher, today.

"Doctor Who was a tv show about a time travelling extraterrestrial scientist and adventurer. He belongs to a race called the Time Lords whose special ability is multiple lives. Every time they die, they regenerate into a new person. It's how the tv company explained away routinely changing the actor. It was called Doctor Who because no one knows the Doctor's real name and the Tenth was very popular."

Rorschach is holding a dark gray and black lightsaber hilt. When he activates the device, it produces a black blade of plasma.

"The Darksaber!"

"I call Dibs." Rorschach said swiping it up.

"Enjoy," I reply, since tools weren't really my style.

The Darksaber was an ancient and unique black-bladed lightsaber created by Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian ever inducted into the Jedi Order, prior to 1032 BBY. It's been wielded many famous people including Darth Maul, Sabine Wren, and Din Djarin (the Mandalorian). Rorschach deactivates the blade and quickly places it in his inventory.

The next a familiar tool and weapon, side by side. They are both from Star Trek.

"A dark cased TR-590 Tricorder X and a Type-2 Phaser. Both from the 2370s."

The Starfleet tricorder was the versatile, portable sensing device developed by Starfleet R&D specifically for use by Federation Starfleet personnel. The Phaser is a directed energy weapon used by Starfleet with Type-2 being a sidearm evolved from a pistol design. Type-1 is concealable, while Type-3 is a rifle.

"I used to have a toy one as a kid." I say, as Rorschach automatically loots the case.

A half-melted golden Arabian oil lamp.

"Aladdin's Lamp?"

"I'm guessing the magic of Disney didn't react well. Don't know if the Genie survived or his phenomenal cosmic power was dispersed across the multiverse. Dispose of it."

I quickly devour the melted gold lamp. When I burb I produce a cloud of rainbow-color flames, which produces polychromatic sparkles as the flames disperse. Entrapta claps her hands, while the others smirk.

Next is a small gold ring, but the Rorschach and me can see the hidden elvish words - Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.

"Holy shit. Is that what I think it is?"

"One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. This is the One Ring from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings." I say, as I glare at the little ring, "I would call this Sauron's biggest mistake. If he hadn't made this Ring, he could have resurrected himself at full power. The Ring is a major weakness just for a little corruptive mind control. All the other powers it granted, he already had"

Rorschach scans the cursed ring with his analyze skill.

"The One Ring - Ring, Legendary, Artifact – Status is Warped. Side-Quest: Destroy the One Ring. Hint: Big and Grey. Gamer is Trolling us again."

I pick up the One Ring and toss it into my mouth.

HOLY SHIT! THAT'S DISGUSTING! It has to be the most bitter thing I have ever eaten and I literally ate Demons in Hell for Four years! It Sauron's stuff is this foul, how bad is Morgoth's magical junk. I hope I never find out. I stop myself from vomiting, which shouldn't even be possible without a real stomach. When I cough, I do release smoky BLACK FLAME!

[Burners and Ravens reward]

[Forge of the Eternal Bond]

"New Skill. This better be worth it! That was literally the vilest thing I have ever devoured."

I activate the skill using my own game menu. A small golden ring appears in my palm and Rorschach looks at it.

"Holy Shit! ", says Rorschach before sending me the data.

"Those are awesome effects. It looks like a wedding ring." says Rorschach. I can tell his eyebrows are arced under the mask. "Thinking of your girls?"

"Yes, but I don't think this is an appropriate place for that?"

Once I would have been terrified of popping the question to any girl, but after all this time, would marriage be any different to how we already are?
