Chapter 5 - What A Weather

"Good morning, Master."

"Good morning, Master." Li Wenzhi covered her mouth and yawned.

When Li Wenzhi left the bedroom, Narin was already up. She looked much better, less listless, perhaps because she'd gotten a good night's sleep over the past week.

Narin had come. Over the past few days, she seemed less silent, sometimes even proactively greeting her. Li Wenzhi had a slight tinge of pride from her child, constantly lamenting what a good mother she was.

After washing up, she rummaged through the refrigerator, looking for something to eat. Li Wenzhi, looking at the noticeably emptier fridge, sighed wistfully. It looked like she'd have to go out for the next couple of days.

...

The jar in her hand was filled with glutinous rice.

Li Wenzhi tore open the can, sandwiched the glutinous rice inside between two slices of toast, took a bite, and suddenly made a sound.

"Hmm?" Narin answered without looking up.

"…" The second half of the sentence was lost in thought as the person in front of her slowly fell into a daze. Narin sighed slightly and looked up. "What's wrong, Master?" "

The woman's gaze was fixed on the corner of the table, unfocused. Narin stared at her face, noticing the blush opening and closing slightly. Narin muttered to herself, "What are you talking about?"

"Wait... what was I... what was I supposed to say?"

The woman's gaze was fixed on the corner of the table, unfocused.

Narin was speechless for a moment.

"I just want to know what's going on."

Li Wenzhi struggled to hold on, biting off two pieces of bread. After chewing for a while, he finally remembered.

"Oh, can you eat?" "

The woman's voice was sudden, and her eyebrows twitched slightly. Narin was a bit slow to react. Her clear, shallow eyes met hers, and the air seemed to freeze for a moment.

They were sitting face to face, their view clear from this angle. Narin had been staring at her, her dazed expression beautiful and harmless. Her dark hair tucked behind her ears framed her beautiful, cool face, her brows clear and cool.

The woman was sitting face to face, with a clear view from the corner of her eye.

Li Wenzhi didn't know why the little girl always seemed reluctant to meet her gaze, but she finally saw the head she had hoped for.

The little girl's head was a little too long, and she was so tired that she couldn't move.

She quickly put aside her slight doubts and happily tapped the table with her knuckles. "Great, then we can go out and buy groceries in a couple of days."

What's the weather like today?

"Do you want to go out?" The woman said, "Yes, I'll buy you some clothes while I'm at it."

The woman held her throat tightly.

"Will I come too?" Narin hesitated.

The woman said, "Yes, you want to try on some clothes."

This is too much of a literary mess. Of course, Li Wenzhi didn't eat like this. After days of eating toast, three meals a day, and only ordering noodles once in between, and repeating the same pattern this morning, Li Wenzhi finally realized that this wasn't working.

Of course, it wasn't Li Wenzhi's way of eating. After all, it was the aunt who had food at home before her sudden death, and the one who was loyal to her. As for her elderly mother, who cooked for her, and whose doors spanned hotels, restaurants, and hotels, she always had food to eat. Did she need to master the art of cooking? Of course not.

...

She had gotten used to living here casually, eating every day, but now, after living together for a few days, Narin's unchanging health and frail shoulders told her...this wasn't going to work.

The children were being treated poorly, those who abuse children will be struck by lightning.

"Your family feeds your malnourished child bread every day! It seems the child's health is only 40? Li Wenzhi remembered the words "weak" and "malnourished" following the number.

"..." She sighed, then realized it belatedly and felt a surge of shame. "...you've worked so hard, thank you." "

Li Wenzhi patted her arm, her brows furrowed in tenderness.

"..." Li Wenzhi couldn't understand what she was saying, and she dropped her head.

The woman's slightly cool knuckles rested on her forearm, their delicate and beautiful knuckles striking. Perhaps she felt her hand was good, then casually grasped it before withdrawing it, leaving a clear impression on her skin.

The woman's knuckles rested on her forearm, their delicate and beautiful knuckles striking.

That being said, the next day, the weather wasn't kind, and a crackling rain began. Li Wenzhi lazily leaned against the windowsill, watching the rustling of the fine rain outside, and yawned lazily.

"Why am I still a little cold?" She looked at her slightly pimpled cheeks.

"..."

Narin glanced at her arm. "Would you like to put on more clothes?"

"Never mind. I'm too lazy to wear so many clothes at home."

Li Wenzhi casually replied, closed the window, and slowly stretched.

She glanced at the person behind her and couldn't help but smile.

The little heroine's mood had slowly risen to around 30 these days. She must have been a little too idle at home. It used to be okay, but now she finds herself teasing people whenever she has nothing to do. She's almost found the motivation to play a nurturing game.

It's so fun to tease this beautiful, well-behaved child... hehe.

She turned around and touched the girl's head with perfect ease.

"You're concerned about me, little one?" she said, her face radiating joy.

The rain had been falling for two days straight. The third day, however, was particularly sunny and beautiful, with bright sunshine, fresh air, and not much dirt left on the ground.

Person: Narin

Time: Tenth day of living together (morning)

Mood: Average

Health: 47 (Old injuries, stomach issues, malnutrition, low blood sugar...)

Good Will: 39 (You're a bit familiar)

Murderous Intent: 10 (The chances of you being killed are low)

Lust: ? (To be unlocked)

Fragment Capture:…

For some reason, Good Will hadn't moved at 39 for two days. Li Wenzhi, briefly puzzled, changed her clothes and found a coat to give to Narin.

"You wear this."

"..." Narin clutched the clothes in her hands, her brow furrowed as she watched the woman, her back to her, rummaging through the closet. She stripped off her top, revealing a small black tank top with a narrow waistline and a large expanse of white on her back. She quickly changed into another one.

... It was naturally silky and she took it off very quickly. Narin closed her eyes, silent for a moment, then raised her hand.

She picked up the coat the woman had just tossed her and sniffed it gently, her small nose twitching slightly.

... It didn't smell much.

Narin put her clothes on, watching the thin, long-sleeved coat hide the interlaced red marks on her arms.

"Not bad." Li Wenzhi turned around, looking her up and down, a smug smile on her face. "Luckily I have plenty of clothes."

"Let's go." The woman found a hat and put it on her: a black beret. Her black hair was combed behind her ears, and her features were straight and sharp.

She hummed a beautiful tune Narin had never heard before. Narin stirred, and the woman held her back, her blush peeking out. "Wait."

A small shadow formed on her head, and Narin instinctively raised her head. There was a pressure on her head, and the woman casually placed a clip-on sun hat with a hollow center on it.

"That's all right now," Li Wenzhi smiled with satisfaction.

"..." Her movements were so natural, and Narin let her adjust them. She lowered the brim of the hat a little, looked at the hem of the woman's black skirt, and followed her.

Li Wenzhi had explored almost every part of the area by this time. This was a commercial street, filled with handmade bakeries, dessert shops, cafes, and bookstores. Grocery shopping was a little further away.

Passing a shop, Narin's eyes were caught by a sliver of strawberry custard cakes beneath a translucent counter. The creamy texture looked delicious, and the pink and white combination was quite alluring.

She glanced twice, and the person in front of her suddenly stopped.

A shadow approached, and Narin's pupils trembled slightly. She stood still, her nose barely a fist's distance from the woman's hair.

Distracted, she stopped in time and stepped back.

The woman was standing on the ground,

"What's wrong, Master?" she asked softly, calming her slightly racing heart.

The woman was standing on the ground, her body still trembling… Li Wenzhi stopped suddenly, as the end of her jet-black hair brushed gently against her face. A faint, familiar woody scent lingered in her nostrils.

The woman patted her head and then patted her head.

She glanced at the passersby on the street, coughed twice, and added in a low voice, looking a little guilty.

The girl was standing in front of Li Wenzhi who had just left the room.

"Don't scream like that in public..." She acted like a hostess in public.

Then, this woman's brain is getting more and more sophisticated.

The woman said nothing more. She turned a corner, and Narin followed, realizing she was heading towards the pastry shop.

The two of them were so close, and the two of them were so close. Her eyebrows twitched slightly, somewhat puzzled. It was just so...

The two of them were so close, and the two of them were so close!

Coincidence? She suppressed her doubts.

The two of them were so close, and the two of them were so close...

"What should I call you?" Narin observed her back.

The woman walked ahead gracefully and elegantly.

"Whatever you want, call me whatever you want."

The woman was standing in front of her.

"..." Sylvie was speechless for a long time.

The cake shop clerk was a young girl with freckles and a tattoo.

"Hello, welcome!" The display case was filled with icing on the wall.

Li Wenzhi glanced at the others, and Li Wenzhi's gaze lingered on the display case. She nodded, as if muttering to herself.

"What should I buy... chocolate or strawberry?... This yellow one looks good too."

"The yellow one is mango flavored, sir. The chocolate ones are delicious! These are some of our best-selling items." The clerk became excited and enthusiastically introduced them to her.

The staff were very happy.

"Okay, I'll have the chocolate one... and an iced latte."

What happened to the girl?

Li Wenzhi touched the brim of her white sun hat. The brim was wide, so she couldn't see her expression, but it seemed her head had lowered even lower.

The girl was so tired that she couldn't move her hands.

Li Wenzhi was satisfied. She felt happy for a moment. The weather was beautiful today, and it was a rare occasion for them to be away from home, which had caused her to feel a bit of a bad mood.

She vaguely remembered this. The heroine wants to eat some strawberry cake. There's a scene where they meet for the first time in the game: Narin can't seem to move her eyes away. She stares at the pink strawberry cake behind the glass counter and thinks it must be delicious... Anyway, there's a lot of psychological description.

She suddenly remembered it while passing by.

... The food is good, but I'm not going to stop her.

That being said, it's still okay to tease her.

The clerk said: "Anything else, sir?"

"No need."

The two of them were so busy that they couldn't help but smile.

"Hey... another strawberry one," Li Wenzhi pointed as she paid. She smoothed her hair and sighed, lamenting how fickle she was.

The two of them were so busy that they couldn't help but smile.

Narin looked up, her eyes gleaming slightly.

The woman and the clerk were talking.

She was surprised to see the clerk's hand moving downwards, her gaze following the clerk's hand as she brought the small, pinkish-white, oily slice over.

"Want to take away?"

The light grew brighter, and Narin instinctively covered her head to prevent her hat from falling off. The woman paused, as if chuckling, and flicked a few strands of her hair. ... The strawberry cake...

Narin stared at the pink and white cake, feeling her heart rate quicken.

"The strawberry cake..."

She moved her lips and whispered, "...strawberry."

What about the strawberry cake?

They found a seat by the window. Li Wenzhi tapped her tummy, and soon her eyes lit up.

"Ah... the chocolate one is really delicious."

Narin watched her flexed knuckles, her slender bones nibbling the silver fork as she periodically poked at the dark cake.

"Why, do you want to try mine?" Li Wenzhi paused, tilting her head towards her.

"..." Narin shook her head and looked away.

She lowered her gaze to the pale, white, milky cake in front of her. Carefully, she too scooped up a piece and placed it in her mouth. The sweetness spread the instant the milky cake entered her mouth.

Her eyelashes fluttered slightly, and her eyes quickly lit up.

...The strawberry one was delicious, too. It was indeed delicious.

The girl sat upright, her shoulders appearing a bit slender. Her silver-gray hair flowed down softly, her face seemingly rounder. Her oval face, slightly rosy cheeks, and large, bright eyes were incredibly pretty.

Goodness, she really was in love. Her eyes could actually be this bright, Li Wenzhi's eyes flashed with surprise.

She poked the cake with her fork and stared at her for a moment. Suddenly, something clicked in her mind. "I thought you were going to say, 'Can I really eat this? Is this really for me?'"

"?" Narin frowned in confusion.

Her gaze narrowed for a moment, briefly pondering why she had caused the woman to have such thoughts.

...

Okay, she couldn't find the reason.

But it certainly wasn't her fault. After all, women always said strange things to her that she couldn't understand.

...and the way she imitated her accent was a little amusing.

Narin lowered her head, the missing corner of the noodle cake gleaming in the sunlight. She hid her face in the shadow of her hat brim and crooked her eyes.

"Thank you, it's delicious," she said softly.

"You're welcome." Li Wenzhi touched her face, her eyes sharp.

"Did you just smirk?"

"No."

"Oh."

...

"So, why did you lower your head? You're avoiding my face again." Li Wenzhi frowned, dissatisfied.

"Am I really ugly?" she said, her voice tinged with resentment.

Narin raised her head. The woman's brows were furrowed, and she bit her lower lip. When she looked at her, she tilted her head and snorted deliberately.

"..."

Narin hesitated for a moment, her eyelashes trembling slightly. She felt that the woman's words were as volatile as ever, leaving her brain a little confused.

She shook her head gently. "How could that be?"

"Why do you think so?" Narin paused, looking into the woman's beautiful, pale eyes, choosing her words.

"Because... it's impolite to look directly at the master."

Even though this woman seemed completely oblivious to this distinction between master and subordinate most of the time? Narin's attention was slightly distracted.

"..." They stared at each other in silence for a moment.

Li Wenzhi stroked her chin, slowly twisting her face. "Is that so?"

Narin resisted the urge to look away, met her gaze, and nodded seriously. "Yes."

"..." Li Wenzhi believed her, nodded in satisfaction.

The woman's brows relaxed, looking quite pleased with her explanation. Her slender fingers touched a strand of hair, rubbing it slowly, and she hummed again.

"Okay, as long as it's not my face."

"..." Narin wanted to laugh again, her slender hair curling slightly, lively and charming in the sunlight.

She casually poked another piece of cake into her mouth, then quickly raised an eyebrow, as if thinking of something, and added.

"But I'd think it would be impolite if you didn't look at me when you talk, okay?"

The woman stared at her for a moment, then, as if something came to her mind, she rested her elbows on the table and suddenly leaned closer.

"Forget it, come here, look at me." A cold, pale face suddenly approached, slightly looking down, its jawline graceful. Narin's body stiffened slightly, her gaze forced to follow her gaze.

She met the woman's gaze, her eyes pale in the sunlight, appearing clear and bright.

"...a few nice compliments, ok?" Her eyelashes were long, and her rosy lips fluttered.
