Chapter 2 - Chapter 2; Moving Forward

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The precise single shots from the bolter directly splattered the Chaos Traitors, who were frantically suppressing them from behind cover, all over the floor and walls.

The Astartes' helmet reticle, with its targeting function, was displaying enemy after enemy hidden behind cover.

A squad of 13 individuals, one of whom held a heavy bolter. He stood his ground, holding down the trigger without letting go.

Explosive Bullets rapidly slid through the long ammunition belt! In some sections, even the primer caps sparked from friction.

The Machine Spirit rejoiced!

The Battle Brother who first opened fire was named Altrance. As a veteran who had served for over 100 years, he would be able to affix a service stud to his forehead—one he had pre-ordered long ago—after this mission.

His hundred-year career had been spent in constant combat, honing his exquisite combat skills and precise shooting techniques.

Therefore, when it was necessary to clear threats at the beginning of the landing, his accurate shots directly eliminated most of the heavy firepower danger points on the attacking front.

This also provided ample space for Wals, who carried the heavy Explosive Bullet Gun, to stand his ground and suppress the enemy with heavy firepower.

And miraculously, the terrifying heavy Bolter seemed to have no recoil in his hands as it fired rapidly.

But upon closer inspection, you would notice that his right hand, gripping the trigger further back, was different from a normal Astartes arm. His entire arm had been replaced with a mechanical bionic limb.

The subsequent Battle Brothers, holding boarding shields and bolter, quickly formed a line at the very front, creating a makeshift cover, resisting the attacks from the Chaos Traitors ahead and began a standing barrage.

In just an instant, as knox stepped out of the assault boat with his bolter, the battle at the landing point had already ended.

It seemed that as a new recruit, he still needed more training.

His steps were slightly slow. He looked at the battle that had ended in just a few seconds, and the blood and severed limbs scattered across the floor and walls.

He paused for a moment, then smiled wryly.

He glanced at the transparent panel in his mind, could only suppress the heavy feeling, and quickly caught up with the lagging team.

At the same time, he didn't forget to reach up and pull off the melta bombs that Commander Afus had tied to his waist, placing them in a suitable position to prevent a stray bullet from taking his entire body off.

At this moment, further ahead in the corridor, the battle had already begun.

The deafening roar of the bolter entered everyone's ears.

As a Primaris Space Marine, knox, even though his strength was superior to a regular Astartes, was still a new recruit.

According to the plan, knox and four other Battle Brothers would be responsible for blocking subsequent reinforcements and, at the opportune moment, find a safe location to teleport in the reinforcements.

The others, under their delay, would quickly pass through and rush towards the bridge.

With a turn, knox, who had already heard the footsteps, directly pulled the trigger.

Several rapid bursts of fire disintegrated the Chaos Traitors, who were already showing signs of initial corruption, hiding behind cover a hundred meters away, turning them into bloody mist.

Knox and the other four Battle Brothers also fought their way towards the bridge, blocking all approaching enemy reinforcements.

However, in this kind of boarding action team, waiting idly for reinforcements was clearly not a characteristic of the Astartes.

Following the auspex scans and the terrain reconnaissance reported by the servo-skull upon its return,

the five of them devised a simple plan.

Knox took something from a nearby Technical Sergeant and turned without hesitation, sprinting rapidly towards the bridge! The servo-skull in front also accelerated its guidance.

His terrifying running speed made him like a roaring beast in the narrow corridor. Any Chaos Traitors appearing before him were either shattered by a shoulder charge or ripped into shredded meat by his bolter.

Or he would reach out early, grab the head of a Chaos Traitor who had just appeared around a corner and hadn't reacted yet, and as he continued his stride, he would forcefully rip out the entire head along with the spine.

As he ran, his hands were also busy. He took out the pre-prepared melta bombs from his body, tied them together with grenades, and placed them in corners around the area or in the nooks and crannies of pipes.

As knox advanced, he had already drawn the bolter from his waist! He used precise point-shooting to eliminate the Chaos Traitors who had heard the commotion in advance and set up crude defenses.

Some of their traditional kinetic weapons left no mark on knox's brand-new ceramite armor.

Even a few more thoroughly corrupted Chaos Traitors roared, brandishing their arms, which had transformed into crab-like claws, and charged at him.

But knox merely stood at the corner, aimed his gun at the enemy, and precisely splattered them onto the surrounding walls.

This chamber was their final hunting ground for ambushing the incoming Chaos enemies.

Although this was not the closest passage to the bridge, the other four Battle Brothers would, like a wolf pack, herd these sheep-like Chaos prey here.

Then, through the Legion's teleportation, reinforcements would arrive! These Chaos-devoted thugs would receive an education from Bolter.

However, all five of them had miscalculated one thing, and that was the enemy's unit strength.

After knox easily eliminated the various small fry Chaos enemies in the chamber, he pulled out the positioning beacon he had just taken from the Technical Sergeant from his lower back.

He walked to the center of the chamber, just as he was about to secure it! A mysterious, needle-like sensation instantly pricked his heart.

The next moment, he disregarded the positioning beacon, immediately rolled, and simultaneously fired his bolter at his surroundings.

Bang!

And precisely where he had rolled to evade, there was now a crater filled with molten iron, still glowing with intense heat.

He turned his head to look, and a beautiful woman, somewhat blurry, appeared in his vision.

But he did not relax his guard. Instead, he instinctively drew the combat knife from his waist, and at the same time, the hand holding the bolter began to adjust.

Bang!

A sound of hard impact echoed, and a spiky purple crab claw precisely struck the combat knife.

And at this moment, the Omophagea and Neuroglottis in knox's body also took effect, instantly restoring his senses and allowing him to clearly see the disgusting creature before him.

Daemon!

And at this moment, the bolter in his other hand was already in position. The trigger was instantly pulled, and the Daemon, who was about to unleash a sonic attack, had a large spray of blood bloom across her bulging, blasphemous chest, with rotten flesh splattering! Her body also uncontrollably staggered backward.

But knox followed close behind, discarding the empty bolter in his hand. As the last Explosive Bullet struck the Daemonette's body, he followed with a reverse flip, straddling the Daemon's neck. The presence of the Ossmodula made his body extremely flexible.

He instantly reversed his combat knife, plunging it directly into the Daemonette's head.

Then, using his waist strength, he directly leaped into the air, landing in an open space not far away.

And that series of movements, if witnessed by his other Battle Brothers, would surely elicit gasps of surprise.

They wouldn't have expected a Primaris Space Marine to be so agile, but they clearly didn't realize that this combat technique did not belong to any faction currently within the galaxy.

The Daemon, still in her original spot, was now severely disfigured, but her formidable vitality caused her to writhe wantonly, her body, which would make any male's blood surge, continuing to emit alluring moans.

However, due to the extensive damage to her torso and the fatal attack to the top of her head, the Daemon had lost her combat capability! But the Warp's chaotic energy was slowly healing her flesh.

Knox unceremoniously raised his bolter and emptied the magazine into the pile of disgusting yet alluring rotten flesh, sending her back to the Warp.

He sharply flicked the combat knife tightly held in his hand, shaking off the disgusting viscous fluid, then turned to check the status of the positioning beacon.

...

Meanwhile, on The Blood Angels strike cruiser, the Chapter Master and Librarian, along with a host of Astartes, were already lined up, awaiting orders!

But the Chapter Master, seeing the Technical Sergeant's prolonged delay in giving the signal, couldn't help but feel worried!

One must know, this mission involved Chaos! As their first battle after resource replenishment! They were naturally assigned a difficult combat mission!

Of course, it might also be because they were lucky enough to be close!

After all, the lords in the Hive Cities on the planet below had been sending countless distress signals for an unknown amount of time!

And according to the Chapter's surviving combat records, any mission involving Chaos was, without exception, extremely difficult!

Chapter Master Afus looked at the Librarian beside him: "After all this time, there's no signal! I think these are no ordinary Chaos Traitors! It seems we need to strike hard!"

As he spoke, he looked towards the Technical Sergeant, who was still trying to receive the positioning beacon signal, his heart already anxious about the safety of the boarding party!

...

Knox had now removed his helmet. The furrowed brow on his face indicated his current dissatisfaction and helplessness!

He looked at the positioning beacon, half-melted in the gradually cooling steel magma!

: "Damn it!"

An curse word in ancient Terran!
