Chapter 119 - Chapter 119 — Confrontation

The Cold God showed no emotion. Her face was calm, as if everything unfolding was already within her expectations.

She slowly extended her left hand and made a twisting motion in the air, then clenched her fist.

Instantly, countless shards of ice crystals appeared out of nowhere. They swirled rapidly like snowflakes caught in a storm, gathering and compressing into a solid wall of ice that slammed directly into Ghidorah's gravity ray.

With a deafening blast, the ray clashed violently with the spinning crystal wall—but instead of piercing through, the gravity ray was ground down and dissolved into nothingness.

At the same time, Rayder's longsword—charged with powerful fire magic and spinning like a blazing wheel—approached the Cold God. But before it could land, she extended her left hand with lightning speed and caught the sword by its hilt with effortless precision.

The fire magic coating the blade instantly disappeared the moment it touched her palm. It was as if the intense fire was devoured by a bottomless abyss of cold.

The sword itself froze in a heartbeat. Its once-sharp, gleaming steel became brittle and pale.

With a gentle squeeze from her fingers—

CRACK.

The frozen blade shattered like fragile glass, scattering into the wind as tiny shards of ice.

Rayder was stunned. He swallowed hard.

"This woman is insane. Too fierce!"

Seeing the distance between them closing rapidly, Rayder clenched his jaw.

Fine. If magic won't work… then we'll do it the old-fashioned way.

Close-quarters combat. Smash the mage directly.

In his previous life, he had learned one important rule from games: mages are weak when you get close.

Just then, Ghidorah suddenly accelerated. Like a meteor streaking through the sky, it lunged straight at the Cold God and her ice dragon.

In a flash, Ghidorah slammed down on the ice dragon's back like a mountain collapsing from the heavens. All three of its heads lunged simultaneously, jaws wide open, packed with rows of sharp teeth—aimed to tear the Cold God apart.

Ghidorah's mouths descended like lightning, but the Cold God remained perfectly composed.

With a smooth, fluid movement, two Mystic Ice Spears materialized in her hands. She moved like lightning, thrusting both spears toward the three incoming dragon heads.

But Ghidorah's reaction was just as fast. Each head moved independently, and in perfect synchronization:

The left head bit down on the spear in the Cold God's right hand.

The right head chomped down on the spear in her left.

The center head lunged at her exposed throat, its jaws large enough to swallow her whole.

Ghidorah's saliva splattered across the Cold God's face—disgusting, rank, dripping with heat. The dragon's teeth were already brushing the skin of her throat.

One more inch, and her head would be gone.

A shadow of anger finally crossed the Cold God's face.

In an instant, countless razor-sharp ice spikes erupted from the ice dragon's back—like bamboo shoots after a storm—surging upward to stab into Ghidorah.

The spikes crashed against Ghidorah's golden scales, sending sparks of frost into the air.

But shockingly, they didn't even scratch him.

Ghidorah's scales were simply too hard.

Still, the impact was enough to knock Ghidorah back. The massive dragon was thrown into the air, sliding backward through the sky.

Enraged, Ghidorah ripped apart the remaining ice spikes with its teeth, then both of its tails swung around like whips from hell.

WHOOOOSH—

The sound of the tails cutting through the air echoed like thunder. Even hearing it made Rayder's scalp tingle.

The tails struck the Cold God with brutal force.

The impact sent her flying off the ice dragon's back.

But the moment she was thrown, she moved with terrifying finesse—controlling the ice dragon to swing its tail underneath her—and it caught her midair.

Wrapped securely by the dragon's tail, she began to glow with an icy blue radiance.

Wind and snow surged violently. The temperature plummeted.

The ice dragon reacted instantly. Its body began to expand—growing larger and larger, swelling with divine frost.

Within seconds, its body length exceeded 300 meters.

Its wings stretched to over 500 meters wide, blanketing the sky.

Compared to the other dragons, this one now dwarfed everything.

Rayder couldn't help staring.

"It can grow like that…? A damn super evolution!?"

Blue flame ignited in the ice dragon's eyes. Every flap of its wings generated a storm strong enough to rip forests apart.

Aegon and Im roared in defiance, but the pressure was overwhelming.

The aerial battlefield became a roaring chaos of wind, fire, ice, and lightning.

The ice dragon's claws raked across Aegon, carving deep wounds into its scales.

Im's Dragon Flame blasted into the dragon's flank, melting sections of ice—but the creature didn't even flinch.

Instead, it grew even more violent.

Rayder knew they were running out of time.

He turned toward Ghidorah. The golden lights pulsed intensely within its three necks—the sign of its strongest attack.

The Golden Lightning.

Rayder gave the mental order.

Ghidorah's three jaws opened at once, unleashing a colossal torrent of golden lightning that tore through the sky and struck the ice dragon squarely in the chest.

Cracks appeared across the ice dragon's body, spiderwebbing outward.

Rayder didn't hesitate.

"Aegon! Im! Full power! Now!"

Both dragons answered with deafening roars, Dragon Flames erupting and smashing into the ice dragon, widening the cracks.

For the first time, concern appeared in the Cold God's eyes.

The ice dragon's body was fracturing. Huge chunks of ice broke off and fell into the snowy abyss below.

She realized the danger.

If the dragon shattered completely, it would no longer restrain Rayder—and once Rayder escaped beyond the Wall into human lands, regaining her stolen authority over death might take thousands of years.

Her expression changed.

She could not allow him to get away.
