After half an hour.
"Rakan, the chief granted permission to bring that child. He also told you to come quickly to his residence."
Rakan listened and hurried to the chief's residence.
Upon arriving at the residence, Rakan felt a strong aura coming from it, enough bloodlust to make his skin prick.
"Come in, Rakan," said a super deep voice from a giant body, with muscles that made him look like a monster. He had white hair and two big teeth protruding from his mouth, wearing a gold chain around his neck and hands while sitting on a throne made of dragon bones.
Hearing those words, Rakan's face suddenly turned pale; he then strolled into the residence.
There were two adult males standing on each side, with the chief being in the center, sitting.
"Chie-"
"Rakan," the chief shouted loudly, "do you understand what it means to bring another species' kin to our tribe?"
Rakan's body trembled as he responded, "I know, Chief, but there is no need to worry. I already checked the surroundings and found no presence nearby that time."
Meanwhile, the child was already unconscious from the presence.
"Sigh, I allow it," he said, touching his head and thinking about the trouble this child would bring him. "You need to take care of him; if I see that you are not taking care of him, I will eat him and ensure he doesn't cause any more trouble. Also, let the mothers take care of him until he grows up. What's his name? Did you think of it?"
After that, the chief stood up, walked towards Rakan, and took the child in his hands while Rakan stood there, not moving an inch.
"Oh, this child already has a name," he said, checking the child's body, noticing the name was written in blood on it. "He's 'Fig.' Um, what a weird name," he then glanced at Rakan, thinking he had massacred the child's family.
"Rakan, tell me, did you kill his family?" Suddenly, the air in the whole tribe changed; the chief's intimidating aura was enough to make everyone tremble in fear, and the whole residence was shaking uncontrollably, with things breaking here and there.
"Chief, please control your presence."
"Ohhh," he stopped giving off his aura, "Hahahahaha, Rakan, I forgot you're still incapable of withstanding my presence. You can speak now," while he put his hand on Rakan's shoulder.
Rakan suddenly fell to the ground, his whole body shivering; for a few seconds, he was unable to speak a single word.
"Chief, thanks for being generous," Rakan said before falling unconscious. His body hitting the ground caused it to crack.
The chief, seeing his whole residence destroyed, mumbled to himself, "Good grief, I am not going to have a good sleep today," while biting his lips.
"Chief, should we cancel our plans today?"
"No, today we feast on welcoming our new member," a few drops of sweat appeared on his forehead.
"Chief, regarding the residence, I sent some kids to inform the Great Mother," while nodding his head.
"Make sure to send cute ones; it feels easier knowing she has a soft spot for kids."
"But Chief, she is already taking care of 10 kids today. I can't assure you her anger will calm down after hearing the news."
"Let it be," finishing his words, he sat on his throne, waiting for the Great Mother's response—with this, Fig has officially become a member of the new family.
At the same time, thousands of kilometers away at the Demon King's castle, the Demon King and his most loyal commander were discussing something important.
From the outside, the castle was majestic, fully coated in gold on a big cliff, with lightning striking it continuously (one lightning strike per second). The nearby land was covered with red sand, and the air was filled with the smell of blood and corruption, preventing any living things from surviving.
Inside the castle in the main hall...
The hall was filled with spoils of war, a ritual site, and lastly, the Demon King on his golden throne decorated with jewels.
"My lord, please punish this awful servant," said a tiny body with green skin in black clothes and an ugly face, whose voice was so unbearable it makes ears bleed, bowing.
"How dare you show your face, bringing such disgrace to my race? Had it not been for my most loyal commander, your head would have been cut off by now," his face was red, hands on his hips. He then demanded, "Kill anyone who dares to spread rumors of a child escaping from us."
"My lord, we have already killed 237 demons and have gathered all materials needed for the ritual," sweat was coming out of his body rapidly.
"What's the wait then? Start, bring the child's family's blood!" He then glanced carefully while his servant started drawing circles around the site.
The circles were fully made of blood, with 16 circles surrounding one giant circle in the middle, with one bloodstone carefully placed at each circle.
When the ritual was halfway done, blood was running out, and the servant used his own blood to complete it, putting his whole family's generations at risk, with the hall full of smell and blood.
Two whole hours had passed, and the ritual was completed; only the demon king's involvement was left.
"My lord, it is finished."
"Check the blood," in a sleeping position, with two big horns and a medium-sized body.
"Yes, my lord, this blood is rare; not many people possess it."
"Good work, start," as he acknowledged, he then traveled and sat in the middle of the ritual.
Hearing those words, the servant started to bounce from one place to another, his face full of smiles.
Starting the ritual...
Stepping on one circle each time, he started singing the song, "Kill the person, kill the family, kill the cursed bloodline," and repeated it 15 more times.
Each time after the song, one circle would glow, with millions of blood particles circling it.
The demon king was quietly sitting in the middle, thinking, 'Stupid ancestor, such an embarrassing song,' his face turning red.
****
The ritual was to curse the whole bloodline; it required the use of family blood, putting everyone with the same blood under a curse that constantly brings misfortune, a curse that tries to kill in specific scenarios, and becoming more and more powerful with each passing event.
Also being useless as it's only targets those who are below 15 years of age.
****
At last, activating all the circles, only the middle one was left; the servant started singing for the last time, thinking it was also his last moments.
Suddenly, the whole castle was shaking like crazy, a sudden red light breaking through the roof, the whole sky gradually turning a dark red.
Thousands of demons below thought the demon king was breaking through; everyone started bowing toward it.
In the middle of the ritual, the demon king's whole body was getting torn apart, and behind him, only his servant's skeleton was left.
