Gry House – North Side (Sector B)
There was exactly one year left before the next Alpha Vampire Ceremony—an event that could change everything. For the vampire families of the North Side, this was a golden opportunity. If a family to produce new Alphas, their rank and influence would rise dramatically.
The North Side was divided into two closely intertwined zones: Sector A and Sector B.
Let's shift focus to Sector B.
Sector B – The Power Balance
Sector B was ruled by five major vampire families:
Clerk
Vampire Power: 3 Silver, 9 Alpha, 20 Beta
Magicians: Two 2nd-level, three 1st-level
Willson
Vampire Power: 3 Silver, 9 Alpha, 22 Beta
Magicians: One 2nd-level, four 1st-level
Gry
Vampire Power: 1 Half-Gold, 5 Silver, 12 Alpha, 20 Beta
Magicians: One 4th-level, one 3rd-level, two 2nd-level
Jones
Vampire Power: 4 Silver, 10 Alpha, 20 Beta
Magicians: Two 2nd-level, four 1st-level
Falcon
Vampire Power: 1 Half-Gold, 2 Silver, 5 Alpha, 20 Beta
Magicians: One 4th-level, two 2nd-level, one 1st-level
Among these, Gry and Falcon were ancient bloodlines, respected for centuries. The others—Clerk, Willson, and Jones—were newer powers, rising only in the last 40 years.
In the vampire world, power is everything. The strong rule. The weak kneel.
The Fall of the Falcon Legacy
40 years ago, the Falcon family was unmatched—feared across the North. But during a devastating war, they lost many of their strongest vampires while protecting others. That war crippled their strength and allowed other families to rise and challenge their dominance.
Now, only one elder from their bloodline—a Half-Gold Vampire, wounded in that war—remains as their pillar. If he dies… the Falcon name may vanish from A-grade ranks entirely.
Vampire Power Structure
Noob – Newly turned vampires. (3 Grades)
Beta – Eyes turn red. (3 Grades)
Alpha – Eyes turn white. (3 Grades)
Only 10 out of 100 vampires become Alpha.
Only Alphas can rise to the next level. Higher ranks will be introduced later.
Global Ceremony: Alpha Counting
Once every three years, the Alpha Counting Ceremony is held across the Dark World. It records how many new Alphas have emerged and from which families. Weaker families with new Alphas are often absorbed into stronger houses to preserve the power balance.
The Dark World
There are two main continents:
Balor
Anubis (Our current story takes place here)
Anubis is divided into North, South, East, and West zones. Our focus is on the North.
The Story Begins
With one year left before the Alpha Ceremony, all five Sector B families were preparing, plotting, and strategizing.
But no one was more concerned than the Falcon family. If they failed to produce even a single Alpha this time, they would fall from power completely.
In a desperate attempt to form an alliance, Luke Falcon—head of the Falcon family and Rudra's uncle—decided to visit Gry House.
Gry House – Private Meeting
Present:
Luke Falcon – 1st Grade Silver, Head of the Falcon family
James Gry –, 1st grade sliver,Head of the Gry family
Mahira Falcon – Luke's wife
Vahika Gry – James' wife
They met in a dim, candle-lit hall within the Gry estate.
Luke spoke with a respectful tone:
"We've heard the Gry family might produce 3–4 new Alphas this time. Truly blessed bloodline. And looking at you, James, I feel you'll reach Half-Gold within three years."
James chuckled softly and shook his head:
"No, no… I may be growing stronger, but reaching Half-Gold in three years? That's a dream. You know how impossible that is. You've been trying yourself."
Luke sighed, his smile fading:
"True. This Silver barrier just won't break. But… forget that for now.
I came to discuss that promise.
You remember it, don't you?"
James looked at his wife. Silence filled the room.
Then, he said quietly but firmly:
"Please… forget that promise.
Ask me for anything else, and I will not refuse.
But not that."
