It was already getting dark outside, city lights flickering through the curtains when Seo-jun shifted on the bed. He sat up slowly, rubbing his neck, the faint smell of cologne still clinging to the sheets. Min-jae sat nearby on the couch, scrolling through his phone, but his eyes flicked up as soon as Seo-jun moved.
"You're leaving?" Min-jae asked quietly.
Seo-jun nodded while buttoning his shirt. "Yeah. I should head home. It's already—" he glanced at the clock "—eight."
"I'll drop you," Min-jae said, already standing.
"No, it's fine. I'll just take the bus."
Min-jae shot him a look. "I said I'll drop you." His tone wasn't loud, just final.
Seo-jun sighed. He didn't argue after that. They both got ready in silence and stepped out together. The night air was cool, a faint smell of rain still hanging in the streets.
