Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Innate Soul Power—Off the Charts!

"What the hell? I can't even lift my own Martial Spirit! What am I, some kind of off-brand Thor who's unworthy of his own hammer?"

Yun Chuan stood there dumbfounded, unable to lift the dazzling golden hammer lying at his feet. As absurd as it seemed, he couldn't shake the feeling—

This was basically a Spirit Hall version of the "can't-lift-Mjölnir" scene straight out of a Marvel movie!

'Could it be… I need to fulfill certain conditions before I'm worthy to wield it? Maybe I need to add a spirit ring to unlock it?'

He tried to rationalize it, running through possibilities in his head.

Then suddenly—

"D-Dual martial spirits!" a servant exclaimed, the words slipping out in sheer shock.

But no one scolded him for the outburst. Everyone's focus had abruptly shifted…

Away from the flashy thunder-and-flame hammer—

And toward what had appeared behind Yun Chuan.

Even Bibi Dong's jewel-like eyes were frozen in open astonishment as she stared at the form hovering behind her son.

Yun Chuan blinked and slowly turned his head to look—

What he saw… left even his reincarnated soul speechless.

It was a woman.

No, a spirit woman.

About eighteen or nineteen years old in appearance, with long, flowing blue hair cascading down her back like a waterfall. Her figure was draped in an elegant green gown that radiated life energy. Her flawless features gave the impression of divine artistry, and her eyes—deep, clear blue like sapphire crystal—were so breathtakingly pure it was hard to look directly at her.

In that instant… even color itself seemed to fade in comparison.

'Is this… my second martial spirit?' Yun Chuan murmured in disbelief.

In that moment, he understood why everyone had stopped paying attention to the hammer—even with its over-the-top special effects. Because when this elegant beauty appeared… who in their right mind would still be looking at a hunk of metal?

Only then did he realize... her hand was holding something.

A glance revealed that it was—

Blue Silver Grass.

'Wait a second, Blue Silver Grass? Really?!'

Yun Chuan's thoughts exploded with realization.

It made perfect sense. In the original story, Tang San had Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer as twin spirits. As Tang San's twin brother, he should at least match that baseline—if not surpass it. Especially since he had his own cheat system and enhanced body since the womb!

Now looking at it…

This lightning-flame holy hammer and this goddess-like Blue Silver Spirit… were clearly upgraded, evolved versions of the Clear Sky Hammer and Blue Silver Grass!

Stronger. Prettier. Cooler. Full of effects and undoubtedly far more formidable.

'Since it's the evolved form, the names obviously can't be the same old "Clear Sky Hammer" and "Blue Silver Grass." Gotta give 'em something... flashier.'

His gaze shifted down to the hammer.

It practically screamed "world-ending artifact"! Glowing with brilliant white light, ringed in red flame, snapping with crackling arcs of lightning…

"Something this stunning... hmm... let's go with—"

'Heaven-Shattering, Earth-Splitting, Lightning-Flashing, Flame-Raging, Supreme Clear Sky Hammer!'

"Yeah. That's the full formal name."

He grinned proudly.

"But for ease… 'Supreme Clear Sky Hammer' will do."

As far as he was concerned, the name perfectly captured every aspect of the hammer's visuals. Over-the-top? Absolutely. But fitting? Extremely.

Next, he turned to the spirit goddess hovering behind him, her natural blend of blue waves and verdant greens practically glowing with vibrant life.

"She's got the aura of some divine plant deity holding Blue Silver Grass... That's it!"

"We'll call her…" he paused dramatically in his mind,

'The Goddess of Verdure!'

Just like that, his twin spirits now had official names.

▶ Supreme Clear Sky Hammer

▶ Verdant Goddess

After naming them, Yun Chuan reached inward and willed them to return.

"Back!"

At his command, the serene and luminous Goddess of Verdure flowed into a stream of light and sank back into his spirit sea. The Supreme Clear Sky Hammer followed suit, its flames and lightning fading as its colossal form dissolved cleanly into his soul.

At last, his martial spirits settled.

Once the awe subsided, everyone finally came back to their senses.

Bibi Dong broke into a radiant smile and waved him over tenderly. "Chuan'er, come. Let's test your soul power."

Yun Chuan immediately scampered to her side, obedient as ever. The moment he arrived, Bibi Dong pulled out a large crystal sphere—one clearly no ordinary measuring crystal. Unlike the standard orbs that could only check up to tenth-level innate soul power, this one was built for high-end results.

"Your innate soul power is directly tied to how strong your martial spirit is," she explained gently. "The stronger the spirit, the higher the base power at awakening."

Yun Chuan stared at the crystal orb with solemn eyes. He knew—

This next moment would determine his legend.

Would it be a standard ten-level soul power?

Or something freakishly abnormal? The kind of divine-tier soul energy that Qian Renxue had—twenty innate levels at birth?

Heart pounding, Yun Chuan slowly extended his little hand toward the orb.

The moment his skin made contact, he felt a powerful suction pulling at his spirit core. The awakened energy within his body surged directly into the crystal as if drawn by a vortex.

Bibi Dong's smile faded into focused concentration. The surrounding attendants all held their breath.

Based on what they'd just seen from his martial spirits, there was no way Yun Chuan only had level ten soul power. He had to be extraordinary. Perhaps... even beyond level twenty.

BOOM!

A deafening crack—

The soul crystal exploded like shattering glass!

"…"

Dead silence.

No one moved.

Yun Chuan himself was completely stunned. 'What the—?! It exploded? Don't tell me I've got… more than twenty innate soul power?'

Everyone stood frozen in shock.

Then Bibi Dong snapped out of it first. Her expression darkened—eyes narrowing, sweeping sternly across the rows of stunned attendants.

The temperature in the room dropped sharply.

Every servant who met her gaze felt a chill run through their bones. No words were spoken, but they all understood the look in her eyes:

This doesn't leave this hall. Not a word.

If the explosion was what they feared it was—if Yun Chuan's soul power truly exceeded even the divine threshold of level twenty—

Then that meant his potential had already surpassed the Angelic Lineage!

If word of this leaked... then enemies of Spirit Hall would stop at nothing to crush such a threat before it could grow.

Sure, within Spirit City he was safe.

But Yun Chuan couldn't stay within these walls forever.

And the moment he left?

He'd be hunted.

By the time he'd even taken his first spirit ring—assassins would already be waiting in line to kill him.

And it wasn't only external enemies.

Even within Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong's position wasn't without enemies. The Hall was no unified front. There were factions—many of them hoping to weaken her power.

Yun Chuan, as her adopted son, was clearly part of her camp. To those opposing her, he was both a threat and a future power source.

That alone was enough for someone to want him dead.

Because in Douluo Continent?

The greatest of all traditions... was political backstabbing.

And so, for Yun Chuan's survival—

Bibi Dong's gaze swept back over the crowd one last time.

In her dazzling eyes, a flash of cold, undisguised killing intent gleamed like a dagger.

One warning.

One promise.

Silence... or else.
