The scene continues within the Allsparks cube internal sub-space. "That's what you get for putting me through that hell!" Aria declared, releasing Horace, a massive grin spreading across her face. "I feel so much better!" Aria said as Horace, sprawled on the floor, covered with multiple comical bumps and bruises on his face and body, his luminous form flickering with genuine, surprised pain. "Damn! I can't believe how strong the master is, even at the first level of the Apprentice level, her fist strength is enough to rival a planetary cultivator." Horace says as he begins to stand.
"Okay, are we now even?" Horace asked nervously, rubbing the cartoonish bumps on his luminous forehead. Aria responded with a low, contemplative hum, her eyes beginning to glow with an intense golden light as she assessed the totality of her recent ordeal. "Come on don't be like that, its not like I had a choice plus you have gained so much despite all that happened for example your spiritual energy or what people of this world call psionic energy has now grown by ten times and currently sits at 582 from your previous 58.2 points while your genetic energy his even more monstrous currently sitting at 5,820 point, you current cultivation level has grown and you have broken to the Apprentice level reaching the 1st stage of the Apprentice level in your cultivation, You current life gene currently sits at 9000, it was supposed to reach 10,000 but the ring your father gave you made it impossible to evolve your heart and brain causing the second stage of the recognition process to be rushed hence your life gene could only go up to to 9,000" Horace said as he drew a shaky breath.
"Lastly, you have successfully merged with the God Spark. Your body has created a miniature Planet Heart, the AllSpark Heart, which now acts as my direct life core, allowing me to aid you both inside and outside the AllSpark while also granting you access to many amazing powers some directly accessible through the allspark heart while others through the AllSpark Cube artifact, It serves as an infinite source of Primordial Energy to you and the Cube, and even allows you to transform into a bio-mechanical form. Now that you possess the Allspark heart, the Allspark cube fully recognizes you as the supreme owner of the cube; even I can't access some of its advanced features without your permission."
He then lowered his voice, the pride of the achievement masking a bitter undercurrent. "I even lost 90% of my power and have to begin cultivating genetic energy from scratch. My power and comprehension of the laws were already at the level of a God Emperor. I could destroy entire universes, races, and civilizations if I wanted, but for the Recognition to work, I gave all of that up for you, losing almost all of my cultivation in the process. Remember that next time you think of beating me, Aria." Horace said as he spread his hands wide. "From where I stand, I have only gained the freedom to venture outside the AllSpark. You, on the other hand, have obtained the ability to command Primordial Energy, a power even gods would kill to obtain. And not only that, but you have also obtained administrator privileges, the power over the Allspark, which is on par with the level of a primordial artifact. Seriously, isn't that enough to make us even?" Horace said to Aria.
Aria's golden light softened. "Okay, sorry," she conceded, extending a hand to him. "I just acted out of emotion, but in my defense, you never told me how truly painful the process was going to be. Now that you are my subordinate, you need to be clearer and explain everything clearly. Do you understand?" Aria said. Horace, relieved at the sudden shift in tone, firmly shook her hand. "Fine, my lady. I promise to be clearer and straightforward."
"Why would you give up so much of your power?" Aria says as he observes that Horace's power level is not as suffocating as before. "Its not that I wanted to its just that the cubes recognition demands it, The protocols have already been engraved within the allsparks system, Horace said as he pointed toward the large, translucent, crystalline-like cube with a highly detailed and mechanical design made up of thousands of miniature cubes that appear and disappear within its complex structure, whose blue glowing orb has now been absorbed and transformed into the allspark heart within Arias body and below it a circular, shimmering metal halo that is in a constant state of rotating motion.
"That is the Allspark system, the main operating system governing the Allspark cube. When I was the administrator of the cube, I simply was the one giving the input, commanding the actions of the cube while the Allspark system was the central operating system commanding and controlling what actions the Allspark cube takes, otherwise without my input, the allspark cube would have remained dormant even when you touched the cube and passed you genetic energy and spiritual energy. Basically, the administrator is the heart of the cube; without one, it is just an ordinary cube, and now that you have been recognized, you are the new permanent administrator of the cube.
"So basically, I can command the cube to do whatever I want," Aria says. "Ya, as long as it can, it will do it without question," Horace says. "What would happen to the cube if, let's say, I died? Will the cube move to the next being who killed me?" Aria asks Horace, who momentarily begins to sweat. "Horace, what would happen?" Aria again. "Promise me you won't get mad, I mean pinkie swear you won't get mad," Horace says, swimmingly panicked. "I pinkie swear I won't get mad," Aria replies. "Okay, Here is the truth, now that you have become the owner of the allspark which is a primordial artifact you cant technically die, You are no longer bond to the concept of life and death in the physical sense, for example lets say you fight bhaal and die, the allspark system will simply command the cube to begin recreating your body and soul and eventually you will be back as if nothing happen."
"This is simply one of the many protocols the Allspark system has set in place to protect the administrator, so basically, you are a permanent immortal with eternal life spans, a being whose body and soul have transcended reincarnation eras. This comes with both advantages and disadvantages. The primary advantages are having unlimited time for personal growth, learning, and experiencing the world's wonders without the fear of death or the limitations of aging. While The disadvantages of immortality include profound psychological burdens like outliving loved ones, unbearable boredom from endless repetition, loss of meaning as life loses scarcity, and the risk of societal stagnation (gerontocracy) as immortal leaders never leave power examples being AO, Demorgorgan and Asmodeus, lastly their is potential for endless physical suffering without true death if lets say you are imprisoned and cant use your powers to escape through teleportation, lets by you have been caught by a powerful individual like AO who at your current power level is able to suppress your without much effort then you are most likely fucked, your chances of escape will be near to zero, so you will have no choice but to wait till you find a way to escape even if takes thaousands of era." Horace says as he backs away from Aria, as if fearing another assault.
"Wait, you mean I can not die, like permanently die? Am I going to look like a child the rest of my life?" Aria says as she begins walking toward Horace, seemingly angry. "No, you will grow up just like normal, but when you reach maturity, in your case, 18 years, you will forever look like that." Horace replies as he covers his face. "That's great, you mean I will have eternal youth, don't have to worry about aging and will have the opportunity to traverse the infinite material planes, plus let's say everything in existence comes to an end, I will still always have you by my side, we are now friends after all," Aria says to Horace, whose eyes appear watery. "Are you crying, no?" Aria says, seemingly teasing Horace. "No, but it does feel nice to have a friend after all these Eras," Horace says to Aria. "What about soul enslavement? What would happen if somebody tried to use the soul technique to enslave me?"Aria asks Horace, who slightly giggles. "Well, that's just impossible, now that you have the godspark, even AO can't do anything to enslave you. This is because your soul has been evolved and merged with the allspark, if someone tried to enslave you it would be like trying to enslave an automaton your soul is not ordinary it is a combination of nature and technology existing beyond the Supreme operation laws, plus the allspark cube would probably protect you if it sensed your soul was in critical condition it can even erase your soul and recreate it as it was should the need arises" Horace says to Aria.
"By the way, what's the difference between your holographic energy bodies and your true body?" Aria asked, genuinely curious about her new companion's composition. He looked, talked, and even talked human, but Aria knew that was far from the truth." Well, that's simple," Horace, pointing towards Arias' left chest. "Remember that large blue orb-like core which you absorbed at the first stage of the AllSpark Recognition?" "Yes, the one that came from the AllSpark System," Aria confirmed. "Precisely. That was my core called the god spark, and after merging with you, it has evolved and become the AllSpark Heart. It now acts as a secondary heart for your body and, simultaneously, my main life core."Horace explained the implications: "My true body is basically generated directly from your AllSpark Heart. The main advantage of this artifact is that I can create an infinite number of subsidiary AIs. These secondary forms can perform various tasks and possess physical energy bodies that allow them to exist in multiple regions, though they cannot cultivate."
"As for my True Body, I can only ever have one true form at any given time. This body allows me to have a physical presence that acts and feels like any organic being, though inside, you will still find metallic components."He chuckled slightly. "In my true body, I can feel pain, pleasure, and even taste, eat, and drink, though this has no real physical benefit. The food and drinks I consume are only transformed into primordial energy. Only eating or absorbing cultivation resources like Muya Crystals can truly impact my body, as it allows me to absorb genetic energy more clearly. But even those are rarely of much use to me, since I just use Primordial Force Manipulation to convert the infinite primordial energy into genetic energy to fill up my reserves." Horace's expression grew serious as he displayed a translucent hologram showing his current cultivation stats.
"The only major limitation I now face is growing the energy reserve my body can handle, and this can only be done by cultivating and regaining my God Emperor cultivation, and this may take millions of years in order to reach. Despite possessing a Life Gene level of 1,000,000, due to my currently low cultivation, I only have a capacity to hold 10,000 Primordial energy Points, down from my initial 10,000,000 Primordial energy Points." Horace says as he opens a holographic screen, which shows his current cultivation status
Horace (Aria's AI Assistant)
Cultivation type: Warrior
Cultivation Level: planetary Level 1
Current life gene 1,000,000
Soul amplification: none
First Strength:40 million kg
genetic energy reserve: 11 million
Current primordial energy reserve capacity: 10,000
Flying speed: Average flight speed of 2000 meters per second
Gravity handling: Can withstand 4,000 times Toril gravity
"Holy shit, dude, why are your stats so high? Wait a minute, did you willingly let me beat you up?" Aria's voice rose, a sudden suspicion dawning in her eyes.
Horace sighed, finally admitting the truth. "Of course. Did you really think you could beat me that easily? If I decided to punch you in your current state, you would probably end up dead. Though the AllSpark would almost immediately start the process of bringing you back together with me. Just don't die a lot, since when your true body dies, I too die with you, as technically I am now a part of you."
"Wait a minute, at your current level, can you beat my dad?" Aria asked, the question sharp with anticipation." Of course," Horace affirmed without hesitation. "Though, at my current power level, it would still be a close fight. If I were at my original God Emperor level, that wouldn't even be a fight." "YES!!!" Aria shouted, leaping up and down in genuine delight. "With you here, I actually have a trump card which I can use! "That may be true, but that only applies if Bhaal is alone," Horace warned, immediately tempering her excitement. "Bhaal has powerful allies: Bane, who is a Universe Overlord; Myrkul, a powerful Limit Immortal; Talona, a powerful Domain Lord; and Loviatar, also a powerful Domain Lord." Horace leaned in, his luminous form lowering conspiratorially. "The real reason why I know I can beat Bhaal is that, for some reason, his cultivation has been slowly decreasing over the years. Basically, the current Bhaal is weak. The Bhaal I remember was a Spirit Master at the Immortal Army Lord level, but the current one is only at the Planetary Level." "What do you mean? My dad is a Warrior Cultivator." Aria said, her face showing confusion.
"Oh, Aria, if you knew how terrifying your father's machinations can be, you would fear him beyond comprehension," Horace answered, his luminous form seeming to momentarily dim with genuine dread. He continued, his voice heavy with revelation: "The Bhaal whom you have met is not your father, but simply an Avatar acting in Bhaal's place, similar to what you are doing with your own personal clone." Horace then delivered the stunning truth: "Bhaal's True Body is heavily injured and is currently recovering in the outer planes of Gehenna. This is what your father really looks like now." He said as he opened a holographic screen, instantly filling the subspace with an image of pure, oppressive darkness.
From the picture, Bhaal is presented as a large, looming, powerfully built humanoid male shrouded in grey mist, around 2 meters tall, with long, dark hair and a full beard contributing to a wild, untamed look. His most terrifying and defining features are his eyes, which glow with a malevolent, deep red light, suggesting a powerful, otherworldly presence lurking in the gloom. The overall impression is one of immense, oppressive darkness and raw, murderous divinity, a direct opposition of the handsome avatar currently acting in his place.
Wait, so this is my dad!!!" Aria exclaimed, still fixated on the oppressive image of Bhaal's true form."Yes, Aria, this is how your father currently looks," Horace reiterated. "The avatar is taking on the form of how Bhaal previously looked before he traveled to the caged world of the original continent. You should understand that Bhaal found a way to travel to other caged worlds using a secret map, which he created after exploring the various regions of the materiol plane, possessing it entirely mentally; he has never drawn or created any map for as long as I remember. This was mainly thanks to his photographic memory."
Horace explained."Through this mental map, he was able to accurately discover a unique dimension rift in one of the unexplored areas of the material plane, which allows him to travel and appear within the Dazahk Star System, located within the Auroran Starfield, which itself resides within the original universe of the Origin continent. He usually kept me in Khalas, returning now and then to charge his ships. I only came to know this information when I overheard an alien called Rjali, who looked like an elven woman, talking to an imp called Cespenar about how they had traveled with Bhaal from the Origin continent to the world of Toril. During that entire journey, Bhaal had never once checked the computer navigation system in order to know the way."
Aria's mind raced, connecting the dots: "Wait a minute, isn't Cespenar the family blacksmith who was repairing my brother's sword? That little imp... it's probably best I observe him to see what info I can learn, "Aria says mentally as Horace continues to speak.
"The only reason why the other gods haven't made a move on Bhaal is that they are waiting to confirm if he genuinely has gotten weaker. The avatar is currently maintaining the facade of still being at peak condition, but its cultivation has been slowly dropping over the past years due to the severe damage to Bhaal's true soul, which he incurred after he returned from the Original Continent."
Horace's tone became chilling as he pivoted to a universal truth. "The thing that truly terrifies me when it comes to the gods of the Fareunian Original Universe is one simple, terrifying truth: all gods, and even mortal cultivators who awaken the ability to use cosmic energy like yourself, are all born as Spiritual Masters known as psionicists, psions, psychics, or even just Spirit Masters in layman's language."
He emphasized the extreme rarity of this trait: "Spiritual Masters are generally very rare, with typically less than 1 in every 100,000 of the population having the chance of possessing even a minor psionic power of 1. This makes you a genius among geniuses and an extremely valuable asset to Bhaal."
Aria's eyes widened in disbelief. "Wait, you mean to tell me that all the gods of Faerûn are all Spiritual Masters?" "Yes," Horace confirmed emphatically. "All the gods of the Faerûnian pantheon, and even mortals who have their origins from the Faerûnian Original Universe and have awakened the ability to cultivate cosmic energy, are born as psionics. They are usually referred to as psionicists, psions, psychics, or even just Spirit Masters in the Faerûnian Original Universe, but in the Original continent, they are commonly known as spirit master and are very rare, though their numbers are extremely higher when compared to the ones found in the great wheel cosmology."
Bhaal is currently one of the 3,450 Spiritual Master gods who rule within the Faerûnian Original Universe, specifically holding the portfolio of Murder.
Within the Great Wheel Cosmology, all gods rule over a unique portfolio—a conceptual domain of existence. Make no mistake: despite their relatively small number, each of these gods can fight against 10,000 mortal cultivators of the same level without breaking a sweat. This power gap is due to the inherent benefits bestowed upon them by the Supreme Operation Laws of the Great Wheel Cosmology upon their ascension:
Benefits of Godhood and Portfolio
Upon ascension, a new celestial being is immediately transformed and empowered to the Domain level with several key benefits:
Automatic Ascension & Cultivation: Depending on how the mortal lived on the Prime Material Plane, the Great Wheel Cosmology bestows a divine Portfolio, granting the new celestial the title of Demigod and automatically elevating their cultivation to Domain Lord, even if the being had never cultivated before.
Law Mastery: They automatically obtain the ability to sense and use all lower Laws, including the Law of Gold, Law of Wood, Law of Water, Law of Fire, Law of Earth, Law of Wind, Law of Light, and Law of Lightning.
Divine Body: They automatically obtain a Divine Body whose growth is tied to the god's Portfolio, gene level, mana, and the amount of divinity they possess thanks to their worshipers.
Soul Defense: They gain absolute Immunity to Soul Enslavement thanks to their unique Portfolios, though their souls can still be damaged by a strong Spiritual Master.
Cloning Abilities: They obtain the ability to create both Avatars and Clones, with the maximum number dependent on their Portfolio.
Life Cores: They obtain permanent Life Cores that grant them the ability to master multiple energy mysteries (e.g., spiritual energy, genetic energy, qi, ki, chakra, Aura, mana, etc.), depending on the god's genetic and spiritual aptitude.
Cosmic Travel: They gain the freedom to exit their original caged world and traverse the chaotic Origin Dimension using various means (spaceships, portals, or the aid of gods like god emperors like Mystra, who offer transportation services thanks to their ability to travel 1000 times the speed of light ). However, their life origin and connection to the Law of the Sea are still tied to the caged world of the Great Wheel Cosmology.
Note: Only True Gods and above can leave the caged world with their Avatars. Gods below the True God level are only allowed to exit with their true bodies. This is because a True God must possess a miniature universe or God Kingdom to act as the Avatar's lifeline while in the chaotic Origin Dimension.
Quantitative Power Multipliers
The ascension process grants massive boosts to core stats:
Mana: Mana levels are increased by 999, with those who have a higher life gene reaching levels like 10,000 to 100,000.
Soul: Obtain a soul amplification of ×10.
Gene Level: Current gene level is multiplied by ×10.
Spells & Techniques:
Ability to cast 10 to 13 tier spells.
Ability to cast 8 to 11-tier divine spells.
Ability to use 10 to 13-tier aura techniques.
Immortality: Obtain eternal life spans thanks to their Portfolios. Though not permanently immortal, they can no longer die due to mortal limitations like age or sickness. The only way to truly kill a god is by defeating them and taking their Portfolio.
Divine Domain: They obtain a random and permanent Divine Domain tied to their Portfolio in one of the Outer Planes of the Great Wheel Cosmology, which serves as the god's main home. In your father's case, being Khalas located in Gahenna
The only way to gain godhood or increase a god's power is through the transfer of a Portfolio, which includes:
-A Mortal Killing a God: If a mortal finds a way to kill a god, he or she is automatically ascended to godhood and obtains that god's Portfolio. In extremely rare cases, the Supreme Operation Laws may bestow a new and unique Portfolio.
-A God Killing another God: If a god kills another god, they automatically obtain that god's Portfolio, The new portfolio is added to the god's domain. which comes with several key benefits:
Their Divine Body doubles in size.
Their soul receives another ×10 soul amplification.
Their Current Gene Level is multiplied by another ×10.
"Imagine that the above benefits are for Domain Lords, who are considered the weakest rank of gods. This is precisely why it's not wise to offend the gods." Horace's tone lowered, signaling the true significance of the Faerûnian pantheon. "The thing that truly terrifies even the other gods of different pantheons is that the Faerûnian Original Universe is the only Original Universe whose total population of cosmic cultivators is all Spiritual Masters. In the other Original Universes, their pantheons are usually dominated by gods born mainly as Warriors, with only a very few being Spiritual Masters."
"This is why I know Bhaal is a Spiritual Master who deliberately hid his true abilities when he went to the Original Continent. He maintained the pretense of a Warrior, claiming to only use the upper Law of Space and the lower Laws of Light and Lightning, while in reality, he can use the upper Law of Space together with all of the lower laws. He deceived the inhabitants of the Original Continent by claiming he possessed a treasure that allowed Warriors to soul-enslave other beings, making those who were consumed by greed believe the artifact, the Ebon Spirit Tower, was capable of allowing a Warrior to enslave others just like normal spirit masters. Causing thousands of powerful warrior cultivators to hunt him down, thinking he was an easy mark, not knowing that they were just rabbits going to fight a tiger, only to be eventually enslaved and turned into his personal slave army."
"In truth, the Tower still requires a Spirit Master to fully utilize it," Horace revealed. "The only true benefits the Ebon Spirit Tower has are its unique 3 abilities, which are
1.Permanent Enslavement Contract: This ability allows the user of the ebon soul tower to enslave life and blood beings and make them slaves who follow all orders without question, no matter how degrading. Even if the master of the tower dies, as long as the Ebon Soul Tower exists, the enslaved being will continue to do the last task their master gave for the rest of eternity till they eventually die, even after his or her master is dead.
2. Temporary soul slave contracts. This ability allows Bhaal to freely create and terminate a contract, should he wish, or to set certain specific conditions that, only when completed, is the enslaved being freed from servitude. The being is not tied to the will of Bhaal, can do anything he wants, but must still honor his part of the contract to survive or terminate the contract.
3. Creation of Golden enslavement Needles: With this ability, the ebon soul tower creates golden needles that, once successfully implanted inside a creature with weak willpower or low mental and soul defenses, are permanently enslaved and act like enslavement chips. The slave retains his individuality and soul but can't do anything to harm the master who possesses a unique golden ring which Bhaal usually wore, Horace emphasized the chilling effectiveness of the needles: "Unlike a normal enslavement chip which is generally implanted in the brain these Golden Needles are launched into body of a creature using the unique golden ring Bhaal possesses, after entering the lifeforms body it automatically begins to move towards the soul core where there are implanted into the Sea of Consciousness of a flesh-and-blood lifeform Even if their cultivation is greater than the artifact's master, and if creature has weak willpower, low mental or weak soul defenses, then the lifeform becomes a permanent and absolute slave who although retains his individuality, free will and soul can never do anything to harm their master to the point where he or she is willing to protect their master instinctually even if that action leads to their deaths thus they are always compelled to do any action the master desires even if they don't. They're forced to obey the commands of the person possessing the unique golden ring that Bhaal habitually wore. But if he or she possesses strong willpower, strong mental strength, or strong soul defenses, then he or she is not enslaved and the golden needle crumbles to dust ."
" So far the only lifeforms who are capable of resisting are the automaton race due to lack of souls, Mind flayers of the far realm who don't possess souls, Automatons of the original universe due to lack of souls, gods of the great wheel cosmology due to the protection they get from their portfolios all Constructs, Golems, modrons which are born without souls, and the normal Zerg race soldiers because they do not have individual souls in the traditional sense; rather, they are controlled by a fragment of their Queen's soul.
The rare Zerg Queens are, however, different since they possess souls. But work slightly differently if the golden needle is used on a zerg queen possessing higher cultivation than the master of the tower. In this case, the golden needle simply puts them in a state of perpetual sleep. Only when their master's cultivation reaches the same level do they wake up, this is because due to their innate high mental and powerful soul defenses, even though their willpower may be low. But if done to a zerg queen on the same level the needle works like normal."
"From the data I stole from Rjali's Data bank when they returned from the Original continent, Bhaal has three slaves who possess these needles in their sea of consciousness. Ashante Dracovich, a red-haired Saiyan woman whose origins are only known to Bhaal, Karadun, a panther humanoid from the independent Na Shi Race who are known to work with the demons while in the extraterritorial battlefield, Rjali, an elf-looking humanoid belonging to the Anjialuo Clan, which is part of the human race of the origin continent. Lastly, 2 limmit immortal Zerg queens whose info is unknown currently on Eden prime." Horace elaborated
"The truly frightening thing about these needles is that the enslaved beings retain their independence, will, and soul. They are still their same selves, and their souls are not tied to the Spirit Master's will," Horace emphasized. "However, should they choose to betray Bhaal, they instantly experience unimaginable pain across their entire body. And if Bhaal wishes it, he could simply command the ring to send a sharp shock that can only be described as utter agony."
"What makes this Golden Needle so terrifying is its disguise. When it enters the Sea of Consciousness, it automatically begins to take on various irregular shapes, most often appearing as a miniature Beast God Statue with intricate curving. This makes even the advanced soul scanners of the Virtual Universe Company fail to recognize the object as an enslavement tool. Instead, they misidentify it as a soul-type treasure that defends against powerful soul enslavement!" Horace's voice held a note of awe in his voice. "This brilliant deception allowed Bhaal to plant spies in various races across the universe without fear of them being discovered by pinnacle races like Humans, Demons, Zerg, etc. This is perhaps Bhaal's most dangerous trump card. So far, only the advanced soul scanning systems of the Celestial God Country recognize these needles and automatically categorize any being possessing them as a subordinate of Bhaal."
Suddenly, a profound realization hit Horace like a physical blow. "I knew it! I knew I had seen this ring before!!" he exclaimed, his luminous form practically vibrating with shock and delight. He instantly opened a new holographic screen showing a detailed image of the golden ring currently bonded to Aria's hand.
"Wait a minute, hold up! You mean to tell me that the ring on my hand is the same one Bhaal used to enslave those powerful beings?!" she said as she instinctively commanded the ring to transform from the subtle tattoo, back to its actual, ornate appearance.
"Yes," Horace confirmed, his relief overwhelming his nervousness. "This ring changes everything! If we are able to find Rjali, who is currently a Universe Level and currently somewhere within the Great Wheel Cosmology, or somehow Awaken Ashante Dracovich, who is an Immortal Marquis and command them to serve you, even Bhaal will have a hard time fighting us." He grinned triumphantly. "Aria whoever possesses and is bonded to that ring, makes him or her the owner of all the slaves enslaved by the Ebon Spirit Tower even if Bhaal commands them to kill you as long as you possess that ring you can simply nullify that order but it only applies to those who have either been enslaved Permanently or posses that the golden needles within their seas of consciousness, for slave possessing temporary contracts there are only 2 conditions in which they can be broken
1. If the owner of the golden ring nullifies the contract.
2. If the slave completes the tasks or conditions set on their contract.
"Why Bhaal gave it to you is a complete mystery. Perhaps he truly thinks you are simply a normal, naive child." Horace was simply delighted at the revelation.
Currently, Many gods, even the gods of other pantheons, who are at the domain level, are eyeing Bhaal's territory, called Khalas, which is located on the first layer of Gahenna. Because they know that bhaal has already lost 2 of his avatars and for some reason has not been able to bring them back, meaning that he may lack enough genetic energy, which is a necessary component when recreating a fallen avatars leading many to speculate that someone or some thing might have actually injured Bhaals soul making him unable to access most of his spirit energy
The main reason why different gods are eyeing Khalas is that it has thousands of permanent portal connections to the Astral Plane, Material Plane, Hades, the Nine Hells, the Outlands, and even the city sigil. The portals appear as grishly black chasms in deep underground caverns. They are mostly used to easily access different planes thanks to the markings left by others. Only those granted safe passage by bhaal using specifically designed medallions like the ones the guard and servant within your family estate wear can access this portals otherwise you have to pay a toll of 1000 gold pieces every time you want to use any of the portals, this has allowed Bhaal to amass great fortune from various planar travelers through out the ages allowing him to amass quit a fortune." Horace says as he shows Aria Gahena on one of the screens
"Astral Plane, Material plane, Hades, The Nine Hells, what are these places, you speak as if they are different worlds?" Aria says to Horace. "In a way they are, Horace says as he utilizes the Allspark system to create a comfortable sofa-like seat and a large table containing various food from different worlds. "Wow, where the hell did all this food come from?" Aria asks. "It's just one of the Allspark's abilities. There are various types of animals and plants randomly created and placed on the various planets within the various miniature cubes. The Allspark simply assigns subsidiary robots that hunt various animals within the various life planets and harvest various plants to make food, should a need arise, Horace says as he shows Aria two humanoid robot cooks tasked with managing the cooking responsibilities for the master of the Allspark, who bow in respect after seeing Horace and Aria.
"You will meet them another time. For now, let's first focus on your education. In order for you to fully have an edge against your father, you need to understand the Great Wheel cosmology like the back of your hand." Horace said as he made a waving gesture, and a three-dimensional, glowing model of the Great Wheel Cosmology shimmered into existence between him and Aria before continuing to speak
"The nature of reality is not linear, Daenerys. It is a structure, a system built upon fundamental laws, each different and unique in various caged worlds; it is vast beyond mortal comprehension. Your world, for one, is simply a spec within the vast Great Wheel Cosmology." Horace explained, pointing to the glowing model.
"Ah, the Prime Material Plane, the starting point of all mortal journeys," Horace said, as a holographic representation of the Prime Material Plane appeared. "Within the structure of the Great Wheel, everything begins at the Prime Material Plane. This is the familiar central layer of existence, the locus of natural law and life, but it is far from a simple place."
"The Prime Material Plane is not a single reality, but a collection of worlds, an almost infinite multitude of original universes contained within it. Each of these unique cosmological systems contains solar systems, galaxies, universes, star sectors, and original universes that encompass all of them and encase each of them within a protective membrane known as a crystal sphere. While each celestial body, like star systems, may only hold a small collection of stellar bodies, if you traverse and exit a crystal sphere, you will find progressively larger spheres, with the greatest of which housing countless solar systems, galaxies, universes, star sectors, and are uniquely called original universe."
"What binds these floating celestial bubbles together is the Phlogiston. It is a vibrant, quasi-liquid medium; think of it as a cosmic ocean or a brightly colored river flowing in the blackness. This is where the original universes encased in their crystal spheres float upon this, stellar sea, allowing those few entities capable of navigating the Phlogiston to travel between various distinct worlds and the most powerful traveling to even other original universes."
"Moving beyond the Material, we delve into the Inner Planes," Horace continued, his projection shifting to illustrate a sphere surrounding the central crystal. "Their name, 'Inner,' speaks to their function: they are the engine of the cosmos, playing the central role in providing the raw stuff that nurtures existence, the fundamental materials and energies that make up the Prime Material worlds."
"The Prime Material Plane is the central core, while the Inner Planes are purely elemental realms, defined by boundless energy and matter that lie at the borders of the Prime Material Plane."
"The foundation of the Inner Planes consists of the six cardinal forces: the Plane of Fire, the Plane of Air, the Plane of Earth, the Plane of Water, and the two fundamental infinite planes of existence, each presenting life and unlife. The 2 planes are the Feywild, also referred to as the Plane of Faerie or simply Faerie, and known as Isan Meidan by the uldra. It is a mirror-like echo of the Prime Material Plane infused with powerful magic and intense, unrestrained emotions. It is the birthplace of the fey and the origin from which the first elves came to Faerûn, and is considered a realm of Positive Energy. The other plane is the Shadowfell. It exists as a sort of counterpart to the Feywild, in the sense that it is a reflection, or "echo", of the Prime Material Plane. Unlike the Feywild, it is a bleak, desolate place full of decay and death, usually referred to as the Plane of Negative Energy, This is the plane where Yinrou was born."
2. The Transitional Realms: "Where these immense elemental forces collide and overlap, new transitional planes are formed. When the four classical elements mix with the two energy planes, you find the Quasi-elemental Planes, places like the Quasi-elemental Plane of Ash or Steam. These border regions are volatile yet necessary, creating every permutation of material existence that supports life in the central worlds."
"These realms are not places of morality, but of pure, unrestrained power. Shall we next examine the planes that bridge the gap between matter and belief?" Horace says as Aria nods while drinking a glass containing orange juice.
"Now, we move outward to the third and most philosophically profound category of existence within the great wheel cosmology," Horace stated, his projected cosmology expanding to show a massive outer ring. "These are the Outer Planes, the destinations of the spirit, and the realms of the divine. Unlike the Prime Material Plane, which adheres to the laws of nature, or the Inner Planes, ruled by raw energy, the Outer Planes are entirely defined and physically shaped by morality and philosophy."
"But before a soul or a traveler can reach those realms of belief, they must utilize the transitional layers of the Go-Between Planes," Horace says as he shows Aria the 2 infinite realms.
The Ethereal Plane: "Consider this plane as a subtle, pervasive layer of a translucent, ethereal liquid that encases and connects both the Inner and Prime Material Planes. It touches every point in the material realm, serving as the essential pathway that links physical matter to its elemental sources. It is here that raw energy is filtered into usable components."
The Astral Plane: "This is the second great bridge, a distinct, silver void, a different sort of cosmic liquid that encases and connects the Prime Material Planes to the Outer Planes. It is the highway of the soul, the conduit that links the mortal world to the realms of absolute alignment, completing the structure of the cosmos. Basically, the Prime Material is the core, the Ethereal links to the Inner planes (inside), and the Astral links to the Outer planes (outside)."
"The nature of belief and morality is so potent that it literally dictates the landscape of the Outer Planes. Are you prepared to explore how alignment shapes reality?" Horace says as Aria nods in recognition
"The third type of planes are the outer planes. "The final major category, and the most crucial to the fate of all mortal souls," Horace announced, his tone becoming subtly more authoritative as the projection focused on the distant, massive ring. "These realms appear as vast realms spanning billions of light-years, while others, like the abyss, are seemingly infinite when it comes to size. While the material plane is bound by predictable laws and the inner planes by raw elemental energy, the Outer Planes are defined and physically shaped by morality and philosophy. Here, ideals become terrain, and convictions dictate cosmic law." However, access to these realms and the Inner Planes is provided by the essential transitional layers, which I refer to as the Go-Between Planes because they act as vital pathways between the three primary types of existence."
"The Ethereal Plane functions as a subtle, pervasive medium, a viscous, liquid-like substance that effectively encases and connects both the Inner and Prime Material Planes, serving as the primary bridge to the elemental sources. Conversely, the Astral Plane is a distinct, silvery 'liquid' that encases and connects the Prime Material Planes to the Outer Planes, acting as the highway of the spirit and planar beings like gods, demons and devils. The Inner realms are linked to the core by the Ethereal, while the Outer realms are linked by the Astral."
"Indeed. The fundamental rule of the Outer Planes is their unbreakable bond to morality," Horace confirmed, a tone of mathematical certainty in his voice. "This truth is reflected in their very structure: the great wheel cosmology supports precisely 17 Outer Planes, one corresponding to each of the 17 possible alignments a creature may embody. These planes serve as the final destination for mortal essence."
"When a creature dies on the Prime Material Plane, its soul is drawn inexorably to the plane that most perfectly matches its alignment, or to the realm of its patron deity. Upon arrival, the soul becomes a Petitioner. Thus, the Outer Planes are undeniably afterlives, but they are simultaneously more than just afterlives."
"The Outer Planes are entirely accessible to both the living and the dead. There are countless methods for a mortal to travel to these distant realms while still hale and breathing, not merely relying on the Astral Plane: there are fixed portals and spontaneous astral conduits; there are powerful magic items like cubic gates, and high-level incantations such as astral projection and plane shift spell which allows one to visit this planes no mater his or her location even if he is outside the caged world of the great wheel cosmology. Therefore, even you can visit the ordered utopia of Mount Celestia, the chaotic maelstrom of Limbo, the central hub of The Outlands, the tormented pits of The Nine Hells (Baator), and even the fathomless evil of The Abyss, turning these celestial afterlives into vast, exploitable worlds open to mortal intrusion and vice versa."Horace says
"Wait, so you mean that even I can visit the outer plane if I could use spells like plane shift and astral projection?" Aria asks, seemingly excited by the prospect of traveling to the land of the gods. "Yes, and with the help of the Allspark, you could even place markers so that you can return there whenever you want? But currently, you are only a 3-level mage; you will need to reach the 9th circle in order to perform these 2 spells correctly," Horace says as he pats Arias's head.
"The Outer Planes are, first and foremost, the homes of the Powers (Gods), the Demons of the Abyss, and the Devils of Baator," Horace stated, emphasizing the sheer power that resides there. "And here, the nature of reality breaks cleanly from mortal expectation."
"A distinct advantage the Outer Planes possess over the often-contradictory conceptions of the afterlife found in the Prime Material lies in their very fictional nature: they operate on a sublime, self-justifying logic that is utterly untethered from the mortal requirements of reason and material physics. They do not have to make sense to beings like you, who are bound by logic and causality to function; their truth is philosophical, not physical."
"Crucially, the Outer Planes deviate profoundly from typical afterlife myths concerning permanence. Your existence there is eternal, but at the same time, it is not. Once a soul arrives and becomes a Petitioner, it can hypothetically live forever, but in the case that it dies while in the outer planes, like being killed by a rival petitioner of another deity, it will die, and should the god fail to resurrect it within 7 days, the petitioner's soul is permanently erased from the cosmic ledger. Your soul's 'afterlife' is, in fact, merely a second life; your existence persists only until you are killed. This means that Petitioners, demons, and even powerful fiends can meet a final, permanent end within these realms, making the Outer Planes domains of risk and ultimate stakes, not merely peaceful or endless reward/punishment."
"The sheer scale and independence of the Outer Planes further divorces them from simplistic notions of an afterlife," Horace elaborated, adjusting the projection to show the vastness within a single plane. "Each one is a cosmos unto itself, comprised of unique, sprawling domains vast collections of worlds, galaxies, universes, star sectors, and god kingdoms, each imbued with the singular nature of its ruling alignment. They are not empty waiting rooms for the dead; they are flourishing, self-sustaining worlds."
"Consequently, they possess native populations who have never existed in the Prime Material Plane at all. These creatures, born and raised entirely within their planar home, are collectively termed Planars. This category includes iconic entities like the Demons of the Abyss, the Devils of the Nine Hells of Baator, and the clockwork legions of Modrons from Mechanus. Critically, being a Planar is a matter of origin, not race: you will find native humans, elves, and other mortal races who, by virtue of being born on an Outer Plane, are Planars themselves."
"In contrast, visitors who originate from the Prime Material Plane, such as intrepid adventurers, are differentiated by being called Primes, planar travelers, Outsiders, or The Clueless. This distinction highlights the planar inhabitants' view of those who come from the 'unaligned' central worlds of the prime material realm."
"The inhabitants of the Outer Planes fall into four primary categories, which include:" Horace said as he instructed, a diagram of planar layers appearing momentarily in his projection.
"Primes, planar travelers, Outsiders, or The Clueless: They are individuals who journey between different planes of existence, such as the Material Plane, the Outer Planes, and the Inner Planes. These travelers can be specialized characters like the Planar Explorer ranger archetype or have access to planar travel through spells, magic items, or innate abilities. They often navigate planar portals, gates, or magical means to explore exotic and dangerous realms."
"Petitioners (The Dead): These are the souls of dead mortals sent to the planes. They ordinarily do not retain the memories of their past lives, effectively beginning a new, unburdened existence. Their status is typically lowly at first, forcing them to work their way up the ranks of their new home planet. Crucially, a Petitioner's 'second life' is not eternal: if they are killed within the Outer Planes, they die permanently unless they serve a powerful god whose mastery is so complete that they can ensure the Petitioner's resurrection. However, if a Petitioner is killed while visiting the Prime Material Plane, they are instantly transported and revived in their god's domain, whether that be a god's internal world, a god's country, or a miniature universe within the plane."
"Proxies (The Chosen): Also known as the Chosen, these are powerful agents—drawn from Primes, Planars, or Petitioners who have been granted unique powers by their plane's deities in exchange for absolute service. They act as the gods' hands and voices across the great wheel cosmology."
"Powers (The Rulers): The final class consists of the divine and fiendish entities: the gods, demons, and devils that rule the planes. The gods generally derive their immense divine strength from their worshippers in the Prime Material Plane. While one might assume a simple hierarchy, the reality is complex: the planes are essentially infinite, meaning a single plane may be home to many Powers simultaneously."
The seemingly singular nature of each Outer Plane conceals a vast, complex internal geography:
Layers and Realms: Layers and Realms are not interchangeable terms. A Layer is the broader category, a distinct, massive region of the plane, almost like a universe of its own with unique local laws of physics. Realms are smaller divisions contained within a Layer, or occasionally existing independently if they are too small to be deemed a full Layer (as seen on Mechanus). Travel between these often requires fixed portals due to the dramatically different physical laws in effect. A single plane can host many Layers, and each Layer can house many Realms.
Finally, we return to the overarching cosmic law governing the planes of the great wheel cosmology: the Unity of Rings. This rule dictates the macro-structure of the great wheel cosmology; all things come in rings. There is no beginning or end. This is A supreme operation law of the great wheel cosmology, which forms the very foundation of the planes of existence, basically stating that the planes are arranged in a large, circular structure that can be visualized as a "Great Wheel". The most significant examples of this law can be seen in:
The Outer Planes: The 17 planes themselves form the largest ring structure. They include Arcadia, Acheron, the Abyss, Arborea, Bytopia, Carceri, Elysium, Gehenna, Hades, the Nine Hells, Limbo, Mechanus, Mount Celestia, the Outlands, Pandemonium, Ysgard, and Tarterus.
Connecting these planes is the Great Road, which acts as the 'band' of this cosmic ring, with each plane serving as one of its 'gemstones,' representing the cyclical, eternal nature of alignment and existence.
"The Great Road isn't a real road, though. It's a collection of portals. Each plane contains portals that lead to the two planes next to it, so that you could walk through them all in a circle, ending up in the same spot where you began. Although that might take several lifetimes. The outer planes are homes to gods of different pantheons located on the prime material plane. Some of the most renowned pantheons include the ancient Greek pantheon led by overlord Zeus Became the supreme ruler of the pantheon after defeating his father, the mad titan Titan, Cronus, he is also known for his mastery in magic, Divine magic, genetic cultivation and spiritual cultivation, Norse pantheon headed by overlord Odin Renowned for his wisdom, mastery in magic, Divine magic, genetic cultivation, spiritual cultivation, Chinese pantheon headed by Jade emperor known for his supreme mastery in Qi cultivation, magic, Divine magic, genetic cultivation and spiritual cultivation, and Dragon Pantheon headed by the overlord Bahamut known for his great understanding when it comes to the beast god concept, magic, Divine magic, genetic cultivation and spiritual cultivation and the current supreme pantheon within the great wheel cosmology headed by AO know for his attitude of not typically intervene in the affairs of mortals and gods unless absolute necessary. When it comes to power, his supreme mastery in magic, Divine magic, qi cultivation, Dao mastery, genetic cultivation, and spiritual cultivation are on a completely different level. There are numerous other pantheons, but these are the oldest and have existed in multiple reincarnation Eras."
"Crucially, these pantheons are not segregated; they are deliberately mashed up, intermixed, and geographically distributed across the planes according to alignment. You will not find all aspects of a single mythology in one location. For instance, the Norse deities are scattered based on their nature: Loki resides in the chaotic depths of Pandemonium, the fate-weaving Norns are found in the neutral Outlands, and Hel occupies the despairing Grey Waste, which also hosts the Greek god Hades. This grand blending is facilitated by key cosmic conduits, such as Yggdrasil, Mount Olympus, and the River Styx, which ignore single-plane boundaries and act as interplanar lifelines spanning multiple Outer Planes."
"Aria, we now turn to the heart of the Great Wheel—the 17 Outer Planes," Horace announced, projecting a map of the ring onto the void. "These realms are the spheres of pure philosophy and morality, where alignment literally shapes the landscape. The entire structure adheres to the Rule of Threes, traditionally divided into the Upper Planes (Good), the Lower Planes (Evil), and the Neutral Planes." Horace says as he opens another huge holographic screen showing the 17 outer planes
The Upper Planes (Realms of Goodness)
These planes embody purity, order, or passion, depending on their axial alignment:
Elysium (Neutral Good): Also, the Blessed Fields, this plane is defined by peace and unadulterated goodness. It has four layers (Amoria, Aronia, Balerion, Thalassia) and is a land of fertile richness. Its headquarters are the Transcendent Order in Amoria. The River Oceanus flows through its layers, connecting it to other good planes.
Bytopia (Neutral Good/Lawful Good): The Twin Paradises emphasizes industriousness and peaceable work. Its unique structure features two layers (Dotheon and Shurok) stacked atop one another, connected by mountain columns, with gravity reversing halfway between them. The Gnomish pantheon resides in Dotheon.
Mount Celestia (Lawful Good): Known as the Seven Heavens, this plane is a colossal mountain set in an endless sea, with its seven layers ascending one above the other. Layers include Lunia (Silver Heaven), Mercuria (Golden Heaven), and Solania (Electrum Heaven), which houses the Solforge realm of the Dwarven Pantheon chief god, Morden Dwarffather. The highest layer, Cronius (Illuminated Heaven), is shrouded in mystery and causes those who reach it to merge with the plane's essence. This is the Physical headquarters of the Celestial God Country.
Arcadia (Lawful Neutral/Lawful Good): The Land of Perfect Order is a world of harmony and strict organization, where woodlands appear as orchards and towns are laid out in perfect squares. Its pursuit of order caused one of its original three layers (Nemausis) to merge with Mechanus. The fanatic Harmonium makes its base in the second layer, Buccinus.
Ysgard (Chaotic Neutral/Chaotic Good): The Heroic Domains is the eternal battleground of Norse mythology, a plane of immense rivers of earth flowing through the sky. Petitioners here have a unique advantage: if they die in battle, they rise again the next day. It has three layers, including the first layer of Ysgard (home to Valhalla and the Norse pantheon) and the third layer, Nidavellir (Darkhome), home to dwarf and gnome petitioners.
Arborea (Chaotic Good): Also called Olympus or the Olympian Glades, this is a fey realm of passion, abundance, and nature's caprice. Petitioners are always celebrating, fighting, or partying. The Sensates make their headquarters here. It has three layers, the first of which, Olympus, hosts the Elven Pantheon.
The Beastlands (Neutral Good/Chaotic Good): The Happy Hunting Grounds is the plane of idealized nature. It has no cities or settlements as its petitioners become wild, talking animals. It has three layers defined by time of day: Krigala (always noon), Brux (always twilight), and Karasutra (always night).
The Lower Planes (Realms of Evil)
These planes represent destruction, depravity, or unyielding torment, forming the primary fronts of the Eternal Blood War between the Lawful Evil Baatezu (Devils) and the Chaotic Evil Tanar'ri (Demons):
Acheron (Lawful Neutral/Lawful Evil): The Infernal Battlefield is a plane of constant, pointless war and lost identity. It consists of massive, city-sized blocks drifting endlessly through space. It has four layers, where the chief deities of the orcs and goblins make their home in Avalos. The Mercy Killers make their base here.
Baator (Lawful Evil): The Nine Hells is the epitome of oppression, torment, and diabolical plots. It has nine layers in an orderly, descending cone, from Avernus (the first) down to Nessus (the ninth and deepest pit). The River Styx flows through it, causing memory loss to those who fall in its waters.
Gehenna (Neutral Evil/Lawful Evil): The Fourfold Furnaces is a volcanic realm of evil schemes and merciless cliffs, featuring double-sided mountains hovering in space. It has four layers, all called 'mountains,' including Khalas your fathers divine domain and the lifeless, frozen Krangath. The River Styx also runs through here.
The Grey Waste (Neutral Evil): Also known as Hades, this is the plane of dull grey and draining apathy. All emotion and compassion are stripped away. As it sits between Baator and the Abyss, it is the primary battleground for the Blood War. Its three layers (Oinos, Niflheim, Pluton) are known as the Three Glooms. Hades of the Greek pantheon and Hel of the Norse pantheon both reside here.
Carceri (Neutral Evil/Chaotic Evil): Also called Tartarus, this is the plane of imprisonment for liars, cheats, and traitors. It has six layers, nested like Russian dolls, with the first layer, Othrys, having been cast off from Arborea as a prison for the Olympian Titans. The Revolutionary League finds its influence here.
The Abyss (Chaotic Evil): The Plane of Infinite Layers is characterized by choking perversity and unpredictable horror. The homeland of the Tanar'ri (Demons) has so many layers that their number is uncountable, forming a "messy deck of cards" rather than an orderly cone. Petitioners are reborn as manea to be tortured into becoming fiends for the Blood War.
Pandemonium (Chaotic Evil/Chaotic Neutral): The Plane of Windswept Depths is an infinite network of pitch-black catacombs with howling winds that drive mortals mad, making it the least hospitable and loneliest plane. It has four layers (Pandesmos, Cocytus, Phlegathon, Agathion). The Bleak Cabal has its headquarters here.
The Neutral Planes (Realms of Neutrality)
These planes balance the cosmic forces of Law and Chaos:
Mechanus (Lawful Neutral): The Clockwork Universe is defined by absolute order, consisting of giant, rotating, interlocking cogs that hover in space. Its primary layer is Regulus, the land of the Modrons (mechanical constructs divided into 14 castes). It is also known as Nirvana. The Fraternity of Order maintains its headquarters here.
Limbo (Chaotic Neutral): The Plane of Ever-Shifting Chaos is an alien, anarchistic, and unpredictable plane, a roiling soup of elements and randomly distributed terrain. It is the home of the Chaositecs. It responds directly to the will of its inhabitants, who can concentrate hard enough to momentarily form their own pocket realms.
The Outlands (True Neutral): The Plane of Concordant Opposition is the physical center of the Outer Planes, taking the shape of a giant pancake divided into ten concentric rings. It is the only truly neutral plane. Sigil sits above the Spire at its center. This plane hosts the Gate Towns, one for each of the other Outer Planes, and as one travels toward the center, magic works less and less. The Free League has significant influence here.
"There are many cool places in the outer planes, but my favorite realm in the great wheel cosmology has to be Sigil and its various factions. Each faction of Sigil has a plane of primary influence, where more often than not, they make their bases, not counting the bases that they already have within Sigil. Most of the factions choose to make their home away from Sigil on an outer plane, though the Athar, the Believers of the Source, the Doomguard, and the Dustmen don't. The Athar prefer the astral plane, where they point to the corpses of gods as proof of their claims that the gods aren't truly gods. The Believers of the Source use the ethereal plane, where demiplanes are shaped by the will of powerful wizards as evidence of their beliefs. The Doomguard have bases on each of the negative energy quasi-planes, as the negative energy plane represents the Doomguard's idea of the ultimate fate of the great wheel cosmology. And the Dustmen have managed to actually build a citadel on the negative energy plane itself." Horace says as he hovers around Aria, who is still contemplating the allsparks' vast data.
"I really hope, that once I escape my father's estate, I can reach The Moonshae Isles and have a chance of surviving, if I stay within King Tristan's territory. I doubt Bhaal would risk going there knowing King Tristant is there." Aria says as he rises from her chair. "A good plan but highly risky, what do you think King Tristant would do if he discovered you are a bhaalspawn, the daughter of the man who caused so much death in his kingdom, I don't think you will be welcome and make even more people to hunt you, What I suggest is for you find a way to travel to sigil located at the very center of the Outlands, using one of its various portals located in the world of Toril." Horace says to Aria. "Why sigil exactly? "Aria asks.
"Sigil is perhaps the best place to go to if your aim is to genuinely vanish from the attention of even your father, Bhaal. It is perhaps your only reliable refuge. The primary reason Sigil is your safe harbor lies in its inscrutable ruler, the Lady of Pain, a supreme overlord whose power rivals that of AO. She has power as a sovereign and absolute within the city's boundaries. The Lady enforces one of the most critical edicts in all the planes: no god , demon lord, or archdevil may enter Sigil being like AO, Asmodeus and Demogorgon aren't allowed to step into sigil even if they try to use clones or avatars."
This isn't a mere suggestion or a magically enforced ward that can be bypassed; it is a fundamental law of the city's existence. Bhaal, as a greater deity of the Celestial God Country, is physically and cosmically barred from even setting foot within sigil. His presence, his power, and his direct influence are entirely negated the moment you cross the threshold into Sigil. He can scheme, send proxies, or rage from outside, but he cannot follow you in person, meaning even if he sent his servant here, I can easily dispose of them. This immunity to divine intrusion is why the city is the self-proclaimed 'Center of the Multiverse': it is the only place the gods themselves cannot claim and have zero influence when it comes to power."
Furthermore, Sigil is completely cut off from the rest of the planes by a deliberate and impossible barrier; even the Celestial God Countrys' network does not work here, meaning Bhaal will have a hard time coordinating with his minions. To enter or exit the city via any standard method, a astral projection, a plane shift spell, a gate, or any creature's innate planar ability is impossible. The city is not only separated from the Astral Plane, though it maintains a subtle connection necessary for resurrection magic, but is utterly cut off from the Ethereal Plane as well. No one can simply walk or scry into or out of Sigil from the Outlands or any other location; attempting to jump off the edge of the torus simply results in being deposited randomly into another plane."
This brings us to the unique paradox of the city: the only means of entry or exit is through its innumerable portals found across the material plane. This is why it is nicknamed the City of Doors, and I, for one, know 3 portals which leads to the city of Sigil, thanks to the Allspark regular data collection protocols, one is within a hidden cave of the city of Baldur's Gate another is in mountain ranges of Neverwinter and another is in the calim deserts near the city of Climshan, the current closest is in the city of Baldurs gate. I will continue to update you should I locate any more portals. Know that this portal can be a temporary or permanent portal to any single plane or location in the Multiverse. Currently, I am sure that one of Calimshan is permanent, as for the other 2, they appear on different days. The one for Baldur's Gate appears on Sundays, and the one for Neverwinter appears every Friday. This immense network ensures that, once you are inside
You have potentially thousands of immediate escape routes to any other plane should Bhaal's agents find you. You will instantly be mixed into a chaotic, constant flux of travelers, merchants, fiends, angels, demons, devils and adventurers, making you just one tiny, insignificant mote in a city of over a million temporary residents who come and go from various planes, combined with the large presence of tieflings from the outer planes, am sure you will fit in nicely.
Sigil's neutral nature and lack of centralized law enforcement make it an excellent place to disappear. While the Lady of Pain forbids open large-scale conflict, meaning Bhaal cannot simply dispatch a full army even if he wanted to. She does not concern herself with day-to-day crime, murder, or petty theft. This atmosphere means law is locally and personally maintained, giving the city the feeling that it is constantly on the brink of anarchy. In this chaos. The Lady of Pain tolerates the presence of angels, demons, and devils, meaning a fiend sent by Bhaal can be found here, but they must operate under the shadow of the Lady's unpredictable wrath, greatly limiting their actions. Visitors like you, called Primes or planar travers by the permanent residents (Cagers), are a constant, disposable factor. You will be merely one more face in the crowd of outsiders, making it exceedingly difficult for an organization to track a specific person without attracting unwanted attention from the powerful factions or the Lady's silent caretakers, the dabus Plus should we awaken Ashante Drakovich even if Bhaal sends millions of his servants non of the will last a second against that Saiyan who is already at the Immortal Marquis Level.
in short, Bhaal's power stops at Sigil's boundary. It is the only place in existence of the great wheel cosmology where a god's even AO has no sway, making it the most secure, albeit dangerously chaotic, refuge in all the realms that will act as a good home base to stay until you have enough power to stand against your father." Horace says as he hovers within the space.
