Adam continued:
That's all I could tell you..
His half uncompleted words lingered in the thin air as Anastia tried to process but one question keept looping in her mind:
"How did both meet..?"
Before she could ask,Adam continued to tell his part of story:
"As for your parents.
We don't know how they met because your mother belonged to a royal yet poor family.
He looked up above in sky with a gleam in his eyes which carried something hidden,
You know,
"A sheep and a fish may fall in love.
But where do they live?.."
Anastia blinked upon his question because it carried bitterness and the only reply she come up was:
"I don't know."
Adam laughed and stood up to brush all the dirt from his clothes,He whispered
"That's the situation."
At that moment Anastia had realized deep down,
"Maybe this world wasn't for her.."
She shaked her thoughts quickly and stood up with Adam,
"Let's go, we 're getting late."
Anastia got ready to leave for the journey that's left.
After gathering all the stuff,Adam gave her a signal:
"Let's go."
Anastia nodded:"Sure."
After that, they started their journey by a caravan.They passed through various places, regions.
It was long and took them 2 days to reach there to an unknown place.There the path was surrounded by a fog which they saw earlier.
Adam glanced around her and warned :
"Be careful from now on.We are enterting a restricted area here."
Anastia got scared and quickly looked around sensing for any danger,But to her suprise she felt a sense of belonging and familiarity.
Adam quickly interrupted her and said Lets go.
Anastis sighed and they continued to move through that fog.As the fog blurred their vision he couldn't see anything properly,However they continued to move and eventually fog started to disappear.
Anastia rubbed her eyes and looked around to check where they were.It was a desert- like region where no glimpse of human existence existed.
Adam looked at her worried expression and reassured her that,
Everything will be fine.
Still the signs of worriness from her face didn't vanish away.But Adam didn't stopped the caravan rather he accelerated the speed . Anastia heart started to beat faster and faster and she yelled about the speed:
"Are you crazy..?"
Adam laughed and looked at her white washed face,
"You need to be strong Anastia.Life is unpredictable anyway.
She gave him a glare but it didn't affect him and he continued to accelerate the speed.
Anastia watched all helpless as she prayed they do reach safe and sound.
The road had a few bumps and felt like as they would trip over any moment.
Anastia looked out of the window.There she could see various landscape
but colours didn't perfectly aligned as those were in golden rose colour.
Anastia was left in awe but before it could last,
Adam yelled annoucing they finally near.Anastia looked at him with frustration.She shut the window hard.
Adam didn't even flinched and continued to drive.
After a while..
Soon they crossed a valley and and finally on the other side a village came in view ,But to her surprise all the streets there were empty.
Suddenly Adam stopped driving and Anastia fell hard to her seat. Adam didn't even looked at her and spoke in cold tone,
"We are here .Let's get out.
Adam opened the door for her.She shaked her head and came down from the .As she came down she took a glance at everything.
There from a far away distance she could see an old woman waiting for them.
Her face had wrinkles yet her skin was glowing as pale as the snow.
