Returning to Villa No. 6 at Blue Ridge Heights in the evening, Grace once again helped Jason unwind with a long, soothing bath.
Today, she had a deeper understanding of Jason's true identity and the kind of status he carried. It made her cherish his protection even more.
The affectionate hugs from Agela and Alice earlier in the day had also planted a sense of unease in Grace's heart. She knew that even if she didn't plan to tie Jason down, she couldn't afford to be careless. Otherwise, in the sea of women around him, she might lose her chance to earn even a piece of Jason's favor.
After his bath, Jason stretched out on the sofa and lazily scrolled through his phone. A row of unread notifications filled the screen.
His three roommates were blowing up the group chat, teasing him endlessly.
"Jason, you didn't come back last night, huh? Don't tell me you actually spent the night outside with a girl?"
"And guess who we bumped into at the cafeteria today—Megan."
Then, a new link popped up from Agela:"Jason, this is my livestream channel. If you've got a moment, come check it out!"
"Of course, don't bother sending gifts—we're close. If you do, the platform will just take a cut."
"You drop by, I'll sing and dance just for you. And hey, if you want to see it privately… we can work something out."
Jason smirked, replying with a calm line:"Sure, I'll check it out when I have time. Do your best, I'm counting on you to earn big for the company."
Alice quickly followed up:"Jason, do you hate me? I can be obedient too, you know…"
Jason didn't even bother to finish reading her message. He closed the app. Still, unlike his distaste for Emma, he didn't delete Alice from his contacts.
Finally, he opened the last unread chat—it was from Megan:"Didn't see you on campus today. Skipped class to have some fun?"
It was the first time she had ever taken the initiative to message him, after their brief encounter at the cafeteria with Holly Larson and Quinn.
Jason replied:"How'd you know?"
Megan:"Just a guess."
Jason:"You figured it out after seeing my roommates at the cafeteria without me, huh? Guessed I was out playing?"
Megan:"Ugh, boring answer. Couldn't you at least play along and act clueless? Anyway, I really envy you… not having to worry about job hunting as a junior. I'd love to just travel and have fun too."
Jason chuckled to himself. If I couldn't even catch this hint, I really would've wasted three years as a simp. I'm not chasing anyone anymore… but a few old tricks are still useful.
"Besides," he thought, "I've got cash to burn thanks to the system. What's the point if I don't use it for a little fun?"
Although Jason knew Megan was a little manipulative, she wasn't a bad person. As long as he didn't fall for her act, traveling together could still be enjoyable—and it wouldn't hurt to build her favorability.
Jason typed back:"I'm heading to Miami tomorrow for a quick trip. Free to join me, senior?"
He didn't bother asking where she wanted to go. If she said no, he'd just switch to someone else without hesitation.
Megan replied almost instantly:"I'm free. Let's go together! Do you have an itinerary? I have a friend who's been there—I could ask her for tips."
Jason:"No need. I'll arrange everything."
Later, Jason casually scrolled through his social feed.
Quinn had posted:"Craving somewhere scenic. I want to take gorgeous photos with my new camera."
Holly Larson shared:"Been wanting to take the Jeep out for some mountain off-roading."
Jason noticed the subtle hints, but he didn't bother reading too much into them. He gave both posts a like, then moved on.
Opening the Auto Club group chat, he dropped a message:"Anyone got connections in the travel industry? Or know someone who does?"
Immediately, Mike tagged someone:"Jason, here's your guy. A private concierge. Pricey, but first-class service."
Then Lweis chimed in:"Jason, where are you thinking of going? Why not let me tag along?"
Mike fired back with a laugh:"Lweis, don't kid yourself. You know Jason's taking a beautiful girl with him. Why would he bring you?"
In the Auto Club group chat, the conversation exploded.
Lweis: "What do you mean I'm not close with him? Jason's my partner now—half of New Vision Media belongs to him."
The chat went silent for a moment before erupting again.
Mike: "Wait—what? You actually pulled Jason in as an investor?"
Another member: "No wonder you've been so relaxed lately, always traveling, like nothing phases you. Makes sense now."
Another wealthy member: "Hold on, New Vision Media's valuation is at least $60 million… so Jason owns half? That means he dropped $30 million just like that?"
Someone whistled in the chat: "Insane. He's already bought two multi-million-dollar supercars, a seven-figure watch, then straight-up paid cash for Mike's Beverly Hills mansion, and now he invests another $30 million? That's next level."
"Guy's fearless. Respect."
Immediately, the investment offers started rolling in.
"Jason, want to invest in my factory? Only $10 million—half the equity is yours."
"Jason, I've got a couple high-end condos available, prime locations. Interested in expanding your portfolio?"
Even lussy, who had been trying to get Jason to back their unfinished development project, jumped in anxiously:"Hey, we asked him first! Our deal's on the table!"
The Auto Club wasn't just any group—it required a $300k+ luxury car just to qualify. Everyone inside was wealthy, but even in this circle, there were layers. Many joined mainly to build connections.
And Jason? He had quickly become the most valuable connection of all.
Just then, an electronic chime sounded in Jason's mind:[Quinn: Favorability +5]
Quinn's family had barely squeezed into the Auto Club by way of their car dealership business. She rarely spoke up, usually just lurking unless someone was looking to buy. It was obvious she'd just seen the chat. Even through the screen, Jason could imagine her shock.
Soon after, the so-called private concierge, messaged Jason directly.
"Mr. Jason, I've added you. Please accept."
Jason approved instantly and went straight to the point:"I want a luxury trip to Miami. Can you arrange it?"
"Of course, sir. Whether within the States or anywhere in the world, we handle it all. May I ask—what experiences are you looking for, and your budget?"
Jason: "I'll be traveling with a girl. Arrange luxury hotels, diving, yachts, private clubs—the works. Just make it fun and indulgent. Budget? Nothing below $100,000."
On the other end, He sucked in a sharp breath. He had already heard about Jason's reputation from the group, but still, a minimum budget of $100,000 for just a trip was staggering.
He knew immediately—this was a whale client. Someone you served to perfection, never tried to cheat, or even thought of cutting corners on. One mistake, and someone like Jason could erase him with a snap of his fingers.
"Understood, sir. I'll personally oversee every detail. Where should I send a car for you tomorrow morning?"
Jason: "Blue Ridge Heights, Villa No. 6."
The next morning, a chauffeur from company pulled into the villa's driveway. He waited patiently, not daring to rush.
Breakfast was prepared by Grace herself. Though a housekeeper was available, she insisted on showing her skills, and Jason admitted—her cooking was truly excellent.
After finishing, Jason stepped out, Grace quietly seeing him off without a single question. She knew her role well and didn't press about where he was headed.
The driver opened the door of Jason's matte-black Cullinan, and they were off.
At the gates of California State University, Megan had just arrived. She didn't have to wait long before a Rolls-Royce pulled up, sleek and commanding attention as it stopped right in front of her.
The tinted window glided down, revealing Jason's sharp, handsome face. The driver quickly stepped out, bowing slightly as he opened the door.
"Miss Megan," he said politely, "please, step inside."
