Chapter 5 - Chapter 4 : An Old Man's Statue

"What the—" Jolting awake from the gaze of the old man's eyes. Dirga scrambled backwards, creating a silent gap away from the old man. A pitiful attempt, really.

The old man didn't follow Dirga's action, instead gazing in the first position Dirga was at. Still fixated on the spot. As if... looking for something.

What is hell looking for ?

"What the hell... are you ?" Asking the old man, Dirga fumbled both his pockets to find.. anything that resembles a weapon he could use on his 'kidnapper'.

The old man hardly moved from his spot, instead intensifying his gaze on the same spot. Instead of worrying about the old man who seemed frozen, Dirga ransacked his mind to make sense of this situation.

"Where the hell am I ?" No answers. But a very white room. No amount of shapes adorning this room. No tiles of the shop. But instead, pure white.

As if luck was pitying him, the white 'light' had not blinded him.

One second, two seconds, three seconds.

Dirga counted on his fingers, fast yet too late. How long has he slept in here ? No one knows... except maybe the old man.

"You.... get me out of this." I pointed my index finger to the old man, demanding an answer. "MOVE DAMMIT !!" The shout echoed across the room, though no response from the old man.

NO. A sharp cross of black ink answered. The black ink pulled together its whole form. Creating a vortex-like pendulum stationed inside Dirga's eyes.

The old man... blinked his two eyes. Dirga blinked his two eyes. His body stiff, as if stuck inside a statue. In the aging of skin. In the whitening hair.

Dirga blinked his two eyes, and he was back at his original body. He straightened his back and shouted an order the void repeats.

"RELEASE ME YOU DANG SH*THEAD !!! I AM A FREE MAN !!!" The echoes of a living man's shouts haunted the void.
