Two men grabbed Lara and tied her hands behind her.
"Let me go," she said, keeping her voice calm though panic churned inside her. She twisted against the ropes, but it was useless. Whatever they had given her made her limbs heavy and weak.
All around her, Kael and the guards lay unconscious on the floor.
"Shut up," one of the men growled.
Then came a familiar voice. "Well, well, well… what do we have here?"
Lara froze.
Selene stepped into view, her lips curling into a cruel smile. "The wolfless stray," she sneered.
Lara's jaw tightened. So it was her.
Selene moved closer and suddenly yanked Lara's hair, forcing her down onto the floor.
"Argh!" Lara cried out as pain tore through her scalp. "Selene, you're crossing the line!" she gasped, glaring up at her. "What do you want from me?"
"Ah so you know who I am, I thought you didn't remember anything"
"I don't know what you mean," Lara said. "This is not necessary, Selene."
