Synopsis
Evelyn Hart was born human, but her life has never felt fully her own. Abandoned by her mother as a child, neglected by the father who remarried too quickly, Evelyn finds comfort only in the arms of her aging nanny—and in the quiet resistance of staying invisible in a world that never chose her. But fate has other plans. Far from her crumbling home, Alpha Kael Draven rules the Bloodfang Pack with cold resolve. Strong, ruthless, and feared by many, he resists the elders’ demands to take a bride. Until the day his wolf stirs restless, wild, and hungry for someone he hasn’t even met. But Evelyn is human. She has no place in a pack of killers and kings. And yet, when the Moon chooses, no law, bloodline, or boundary can stand in the way. When Kael feels the pull of a bond he never sought, his world tilts. She's human. Unworthy. Fragile. But the moment he senses her presence near his car—before he even sees her—his wolf stirs for the first time in years. A mate. The one soul meant to anchor him. She’s a girl with no power. He’s a man with nothing but it. And neither of them is ready for the storm that’s coming. Thrown into a world of secrets, dominance, and instinct, Evelyn must decide if she will run from the mate fate chose—or rise to become the Luna a feared Alpha never wanted… but may not survive without. In a world where wolves rule and humans are prey, the most dangerous thing Kael Draven could do is fall in love.

Who!?

Behind him, a figure leaned casually against the stone wall, arms crossed. Lucien Vale.

"The elders. annoying is their love language," kael said dryly. They want a Luna. Someone to 'soften me.'"

Lucien raised an eyebrow. "You could use a little softening. You're like a blade with no sheath." Kael shot him a glare.

A Luna should be earned, not forced down my throat."

Lucien walked over, dropping into one of the stone chairs and kicking his boots up. "So tell them no."

"I have."

"And?"

"They said if I don't choose," Kael muttered, "they'll offer me one. From the Crescent Moon Pack. A treaty bride."

Lucien whistled low. "Politics."

"Chains," Kael corrected. "I won't be tamed for the sake of tradition."

Evelyn stopped too, half-hidden by a tree watchingthescene from afar, Her heart thudded. The boy stumbled back, breathless and pale.

A man in a crisp suit got out of the passenger seat. His jaw was sharp, eyes cool, and in his hand, he held a thick wad of cash.

"Take this," the man said smoothly, voice polished. "For the trouble.

The boy blinked, confused, but nodded. The man shoved the bills into his hand and returned to the car.

Evelyn's eyes narrowed, the guts this rich people have' she muttered.
