Chapter 134 - Chapter 134 Finding Hollows

The Seireitei was vast, spanning a diameter of 730 spirit miles.

One spirit mile, converted to the distance units of the Living World, was roughly 4 kilometers.

The distance from the 1st Division to the mission location of Kyoya and the others was roughly 100 spirit miles, equivalent to over 400 kilometers.

Even at Kyoya and his companions' speed, reaching the destination would take around two hours.

Moreover, due to their high-speed flight through the air, even the slightest deviation in direction could result in a significant divergence from their intended destination.

This forced them to constantly confirm their bearings with Hiyori, costing them additional time.

"We've detected Hollow's Reiatsu!"

As they neared the target area, Kyoya and the other two no longer needed Hiyori's guidance, as they could already sense the Hollow's Reiatsu.

"Captain Shiba, Tsukabishi-donno, my speed is faster, so I'll go ahead to prevent the Hollow from harming anyone."

"Ah, I leave it to you, Captain Kyoya."

Isshin nodded.

To him, this wasn't an issue at all.

In fact, if he were the faster one, he would have rushed ahead without hesitation.

After all, the longer these Hollows remained within the Seireitei, the greater the danger to the people around them.

Unlike Isshin's straightforward mindset, Tessai was aware of his true mission.

Generally speaking, Hollows from Hueco Mundo couldn't pinpoint the coordinates of the Seireitei due to the protective barrier of the Seireiheki, making it impossible for them to directly open a Garganta into the Seireitei.

Of course, while Hollows couldn't accurately locate the Seireitei's coordinates, it wasn't entirely impossible for them to randomly open a Garganta and end up inside.

However, the probability of that happening was pitifully low… perhaps only once in a decade.

Yet, judging from the Seireitei's records over the past century, the number of Hollow Invasions had increased by dozens of times.

If not for the 12th Division's ability to monitor spatial disturbances caused by Garganta formations and the constant patrols of the Gotei 13's Shinigami, who purified the Hollows as soon as they appeared, the Seireitei would have been thrown into chaos by these Hollows long ago.

This situation strongly suggested that someone within the Seireitei was providing spatial coordinates to Hueco Mundo.

Tessai accompanying Kyoya and Isshin served two purposes: to assist them and to observe whether either of them might be traitors within the Gotei 13.

'Was Captain Kyoya rushing ahead alone to purify the Hollow as quickly as possible, or to erase any traces he might have left behind?' For a moment, Tessai's thoughts raced.

However, he had no real grounds to object to Kyoya's reasoning.

After all, he truly wasn't as fast as Kyoya.

Thus, in response to Kyoya's words, Tessai could only nod in agreement.

Seeing that neither Isshin nor Tessai had any objections, Kyoya tapped the Zanpakuto at his waist.

In an instant, the sword transformed into golden light, merging into Kyoya's body.

"Bankai!"

"Kizaru Borsalino!"

A faint golden glow enveloped Kyoya's body as he turned into a beam of golden light, shooting toward the distance.

"So strong... so fast!"

"Captain Kyoya's Reiatsu Control is incredible!"

This scene made Isshin and Tessai's pupils shrink sharply.

The Bankai of a Shinigami's Zanpakuto was, in essence, the temporary fusion of the Zanpakuto's Spirit with their own soul, thereby amplifying their Reiatsu and granting them control over the Zanpakuto's abilities.

Most Shinigami couldn't fully control the sudden surge in Reiatsu, causing the excess Reiatsu to scatter outward, emitting light of various colors.

Of course, Shinigami actively releasing their Reiatsu would also attract surrounding Reishi to gather around them.

The color and intensity of the spiritual light emitted during a Shinigami's Bankai could roughly indicate their strength.

However, there was another scenario.

If a Shinigami had an extremely high level of control over their Reiatsu, they could perfectly suppress the surge even when using their Zanpakuto's Bankai.

But achieving this level of mastery was something only Captains who had held their positions for at least a hundred years could accomplish… and even then, not every Captain could do it.

Kyoya had only been the Captain of the 11th Division for a mere twenty-odd years.

"This is what a true genius looks like…"

After letting out a sigh of admiration, Isshin also released his Reiatsu and accelerated toward the destination.

"So fast!"

Kyoya's speed after his Bankai left Hiyori utterly stunned.

She never expected that, in just an instant, Kyoya would cover a distance of at least five spirit miles, bringing her directly to the location where the Hollow's Reiatsu was detected.

As a result, when Kyoya released her, Hiyori didn't even have time to react… she only managed to stabilize herself after falling dozens of meters, hastily forming a foothold with Reishi beneath her feet.

When she finally looked ahead, her face turned deathly pale.

"How is this possible?!"

"Menos Grande-level Hollows… and not just any, but three Adjuchas?!"

The Menos Grande were divided into three ranks: Gillian, Adjuchas, and the pinnacle of Hollow's evolution, Vasto Lorde.

Gillian-class Menos Grande were mostly mindless, with only a rare few possessing self-awareness. Those with intelligence had the potential to evolve into Adjuchas.

In terms of Reiatsu, a Gillian-class Menos Grande possessed 3rd-class Reiryoku, which is comparable to that of a Gotei 13's Captain.

However, since Shinigami had the advantages of Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Hoho, Kido, and Zanpakuto's enhancements, while Gillian-class Menos were limited in combat techniques, with only their Cero being a real threat, most Lieutenants with 4th-class Reiryoku could hold their own against them.

Adjuchas-class Menos Grande, on the other hand, possessed 2nd-class Reiryoku, rivaling that of veteran Captains with centuries of experience.

Every Adjuchas had undergone brutal battles, devouring hundreds of Gillian-class Hollows to reach their current state.

Thus, their strength was on par with the Captains of the Gotei 13.

In fact, there had been cases where Captain-level Shinigami had fallen to Adjuchas-class Hollows.

Now, three Adjuchas-class Hollows had appeared at once, so how could Hiyori not be terrified?

However, she quickly steadied herself.

She wasn't alone here.

Looking up at Captain Kyoya hovering in the sky, Hiyori let out a sigh of relief.

As much as she hated to admit it, even if this guy couldn't defeat all three Adjuchas, she believed he could at least hold them off until Isshin and Tessai arrived.
