"I was given everything — but I had nothing to hold onto."
– Izayami Tsukihiro
⸻
A crack tore through the fabric of space.
In that instant, the void spat me out like a rejected god.
I fell. Descended to a new world I don't know existed.
There was no sky.
No clouds.
No gravity to obey.
Only floating ruins, inverted oceans, black suns, and landmasses drifting like shattered glass across an endless sky of shifting color.
Welcome to Eternavexus — a world that defied order.
I crashed into a pillar of crystal and stone, causing an explosion of molecular dust. Yet my body didn't break.
No pain.
No bruises.
Just… silence.
⸻
I sat up, checking my surroundings. The landscape was surreal. Floating islands circled one another like planets.
Strange beasts roamed upside-down terrain. Wyvern roaming the twisted skies. Celestial storms danced across the heavens with trails of color.
Time flowed unevenly — I could see petals falling upwards, rivers reversing midstream, stars blinking like thoughts.
And yet… I felt calm.
"Where am I?" I whispered.
My voice echoed… and then faded into wind.
⸻
A familiar chime rang inside my mind.

"…What is this? I see it before in an anime. Does it work the same?"
I clenched my fist, and the system responded.
⸻
I raised my hand to the air. Wind obeyed without hesitation.
No chanting. No spell circle. Just will.
With my imagination, the molecules around my body bent, swirled, and formed wings of pure wind, vast and ethereal, trailing energy as they flapped once — and hurled me skyward.
I flew without effort, weaving through ruins, over fragments of worlds that once were.
I pointed to a passing boulder the size of a house.
A blade of wind sliced through it. I raised my hand and a vortex of hurricane blew the boulder to the other side of the mountain.
I grinned for the first time in what felt like eternity.
"Well, this is easier than I thought."
⸻
I flew over the land, searching for another place to test out my new abilities, before landing on a broken cliff overlooking an ocean of stars. "So how does this `Rewrite' thing work?" I murmured.
My gaze turned to a dying tree stood nearby — cracked and hollow.
I held out my hand.
[Rewrite: Conceptual Override]
Object: Tree
Current Concept: Death
Rewrite: Life
The tree pulsed with light — and bloomed.
Not just with flowers, but with constellations growing from its branches. Each leaf shimmered like a galaxy.
"Did I… actually did that? It's Incredible. Maybe I could–"
I stepped back, awed by my own power. But the system flashed a warning.
[ Caution: True Rewrite drains existential stability. ]
[ Overuse may erase the user from reality. ]
I laughed bitterly.
Shrugged. "Should've known… guess I can't use it often."
⸻
For a split second, I saw something moved in the tree's shadows.
I startled and lunged back, waiting for the worst. From the darkness, a shadow moved, coming out of the ground.
My head tilted. "…A wolf?"
A low growl rumbled in its chest. Its eyes were glowing red.
[ Caution: Murderous intent detected. ]
[ Defeat the Shadow Wolf: 0/1 ]
Shadow wolf huh? Let's try something new.
The wolf created shadow spikes from its back and shot toward me.
I rolled sideways, dodging most of the attack, but one grazed my shoulder.
Shit… I need to end this quick.
I extended my hand, and a vortex formed.
[ Fictional Devourer – Activate ]
The creature howled as it was pulled in, pixel by pixel, — until only silence remained. In its place, glowing fragments floated.
[ You have acquired: Shadow essence – Passive Traits absorbed. ]
[ You have levelled up. Additional points will be added. ]
I didn't just kill it. I consumed its fictional nature.
"…so the system were real," I murmured. "I need to get stronger…"
⸻
I leaned on a tree, watching my wounds slowly healed. "'Recovery' is a passive skill so i shouldn't get worried about it."
Status Window.
A screen popped out of my vision, showing my progress.
Just as I thought. I should use up the additional points.

This should be enough.
I stood up as the system vanished.
Time had no meaning here, yet I stood still for what felt like hours or even days.
Stared at my hands, feeling the weight of my new existence.
I was no longer human. I was no longer part of the earth I once knew. I didn't even belong to this world, yet I felt alive.
"I was broken," I whispered.
My eyes dimmed to calm gold. The tree beside him gently rustled — its stars glowing softly.
"But now…"
I stared into the chaotic horizon, where floating relics shimmered, and divine ruins beckoned.
"…I will break everything else before they break me again."
⸻
I went to river nearby, washing my face. In the next moment, I noticed my reflection.
My hair, once dark, now shimmered with silvery-blue streaks. Eyes glowed faintly, a swirling mix of violet and dark gold.
Is this really my face?
But just as I turned to leave… I stopped.
Far in the distance — beyond a fractured valley and suspended waterfalls — stood a single structure.
A ruin, yet untouched. Perfect. Pristine.
Its pillars stood tall, unmarred by time. No storm touched it. No beast approached. The sky above it shimmered differently, as if bending around it… avoiding it.
My eyes narrowed.
"…What is that?…"
I couldn't explain it. But something ancient — older than Eternavexus — pulsed from within those walls.
I felt it watching.
And without spreading my wings, I turned my gaze away… but not my thoughts.
