Chapter 39 - Jeno – Woo~ There Is No One Good in the Zoldyck Family!

Silva grinned but said nothing.

Too exaggerated to beat Roy? It was fine to listen to that kind of nonsense.

Believe it?

Unless he'd gotten kicked in the head by a donkey…

Jeno finished speaking earnestly, only to see Silva's "Do you think I believe that bullshit?" face.

Expected. Totally expected.

Jeno sighed, said nothing more, pulled a chair, and sat down.

It was a strangely familiar scene.

He looked just like Silva back then—when Maha had told him something outrageous, and he'd worn the exact same dumbfounded ghost face.

Surprise really is hereditary, huh?

"Didn't you say you had something to do?" Silva asked lazily.

"Oh~" Jeno blinked. "You must've heard wrong."

Silva: "…"

Did this brat just imply I have hearing problems?

I'm not even that old. I still beat up people like it's breakfast time.

Jeno squinted at the screen, his tone casual.

"Anyway, let's not focus on these minor details. That little spider you mentioned—Uvogin—he's moving."

"Oh?" Silva turned to look.

On the battlefield—

The injured Uvogin, stabbed by Roy earlier, didn't look frustrated at all.

In fact, the grin on his face was growing wider. His body trembled slightly, not from fear—

But from excitement.

"Jie ha ha ha… who cares how many small fries you kill."

"Tano, you better be strong enough!"

Then, in a surprise move, Uvogin dispersed his Nen.

His overwhelming aura vanished in an instant, and his presence became faint—like a candle snuffed out in broad daylight.

"Eh, this guy actually used his brain?" Nobunaga chuckled, gripping his katana.

"He realized that when facing a Nen Eliminator, Nen itself becomes a liability. So he just… turned it off. Smart dog."

"But if he's not using Nen," Shizuku tilted her head, "isn't he easier to kill?"

She was a Conjurer—her combat strength was tied to her vacuum, the Pop-Eyed Fish.

Unlike Uvogin or Nobunaga, she wasn't exactly born for brawling.

"Hmph, but that's only if the other side can land a hit," Nobunaga muttered.

"If your blade can't touch the target, speed doesn't matter."

He didn't elaborate further. He focused on the scene, eyes narrowing.

After canceling his Nen, Uvogin immediately entered Jue—

Suppressing his aura completely.

The Four Major Principles of Nen:

Ten, Zetsu, Ren, Hatsu…

But among them, Jue (Zetsu) has two key advanced applications—

Recovery and Concealment.

Recovery: Restores energy, soothes mental strain, and eliminates physical debuffs.

Concealment: Erases one's presence entirely. No aura, no sound, no threat.

"Against a master of Nen elimination, wrapping or strengthening with Nen is suicide.

Only by going full absolute, relying on recovery and concealment, can he have a real shot."

Back at the monitor—

Silva raised an eyebrow, visibly impressed.

"Not bad. That kid's got physical strength and close-range skills.

Using Jue to avoid his weaknesses? Smart move."

"…But useless," Jeno scoffed.

"Hm?" Silva looked at him sideways.

"Don't you dislike Roy? Why are you defending him now?"

"You've set up both forehand and backhand plays all around him."

Silva gave a cryptic smile, the kind that said 'I see everything~'.

Jeno's face twitched.

Wha—what kind of look is that?!

Just because you can read me like a book, doesn't mean you should!

Want the truth? Dream on!

"Hmph," Jeno snorted and refused to speak further.

Silva just chuckled and turned back to the screen.

At the center of the storm—

Uvogin shook his neck, cracked his knuckles, and suddenly stomped hard—

BOOM!

A massive crater formed beneath his feet as the force shot him forward like a missile.

"TIAN WEI! I'M EATING YOU FOR LUNCH!!"

"Let's see if you can take a punch from this iron fist!!"

The wind howled. Dust exploded.

His body vanished in the smoke, and only the pressure of his punch could be felt in the air.

In the original timeline, Gon had accidentally entered Jue once.

The result?

No defense, no counter. Just dodge and pray.

But Uvogin wasn't Gon.

He was not only maintaining absolute suppression—

He was attacking in it!

A master-class display of Nen control.

Too bad… that wasn't something worth bragging about.

Roy didn't flinch.

He simply stood still, blind eyes closed, calm as a mountain.

Then, at the very last moment—

Just as Uvogin's fist came within inches of his nose—

Roy's blind eyes suddenly snapped open.

And with a roar—

He swung the stick and blade in his hands, unleashing a furious counter-slash straight through the smoke!
