Ren's face contorted as the notification from his system appeared in his vision, the familiar red interface now carrying words that made his blood turn to ice.

[You are in the presence of a great being]

[Your Body of Pure Horror has been suppressed]

"Fuck me," Ren cursed under his breath, feeling his power drain away like water through a broken dam.

Hans was the first to scream. Blood began pouring out of all the openings on his body, his nose, ears, mouth, even his tear ducts. The blood vessels in his eyes burst with small popping sounds, turning his vision crimson. He fell to his knees, his hands clawing at his face as if trying to stop the hemorrhaging.

Irene vomited out a huge amount of blood, and Ren could see chunks of flesh coming out among the crimson liquid. Her internal organs were literally disintegrating under the pressure of the Avatar's presence. She collapsed immediately, losing consciousness as her body went into shock from the massive trauma.

Hans continued to scream, his voice growing more and more incoherent. His condition looked familiar to Ren; it was exactly like when he had faced the Plague God for the first time. It was the reaction of a human mind trying to comprehend something that was fundamentally incomprehensible, and because of that impossible strain, his brain was beginning to break down entirely.

"No... an Extinction Rank... mon...s...ter," Hans managed to gasp out before he too collapsed, his body twitching as his nervous system began to shut down.

"Looks like your little friends can't handle my beauty," the Avatar of the Skin God said, her multiple mouths speaking in mocking unison.

Ren felt his blood run cold as the implications hit him. Extinction rank was equal to Myth rank hunters. A beings that could reshape reality itself with their mere presence. This was beyond hopeless.

"This is hopeless," Ren said quietly, the words carrying the weight of absolute despair.

The atmosphere turned grim around them. Ren felt with bone deep certainty that this was the day he was definitely going to die.

"Hahahahaha! Why don't you take your mask off, old friend? Isn't it rude to face me while wearing a mask?" the Avatar laughed with genuine amusement.

Ren grimaced. He had just put the mask back on after saving Henry, and now he was going to have to take it off again. The irony wasn't lost on him.

Ren conceded and pulled off his plague doctor mask, revealing his face to the creature that had been masquerading as their teammate.

"Look at you, Plague. Fallen so low." The Avatar's many eyes studied him with predatory interest.

"From the aura that I can feel, you died, right? And it was recent as well."

She tilted her grotesque head, multiple faces showing different expressions of curiosity.

"And why is there Yellow aura coming from your body as well?"

The Avatar of the Skin God covered her mouth with a clawed hand and laughed with delighted malice.

"Did you two die together? Hahahahaha! Both Great Old Ones have fallen so low that you have to share the body of a human! What a disgrace! Hahahaha!"

"While you were busy dying, I recovered quite a lot. Although I'm far from my prime, I can deal with remnants of dead gods like you two easily."

The Skin Walkers laughed in unison, their voices reverberating several kilometers away in a chorus of madness that made the very air vibrate with malevolent joy.

"So how would you like to die, huh, old friend?"

Ren remained quiet, his mind racing through the implications of what the Avatar was saying. What is this bitch talking about? I killed a Plague God, but why is his aura attached to me? Is he going to awaken within me? And what about that yellow guy she mentioned?

That plague fucker called me yellow too….are all these gods racist? I'm half Asian... well, joking aside, I have to kill her no matter what if I want to survive.

Well, I have just the thing.

Ren suddenly spoke, his voice cutting through the laughter.

"I would have worried if you had low intelligence like that Obsidian guy."

The Avatar of the Skin God smiled, clearly amused by his boldness in the face of certain death. "So what do you have in mind, old friend?"

"I'll let you meet the main body."

"Huh?" The Avatar looked startled for the first time since revealing herself.

"You must have missed me, Skin. And I missed killing you as well."

"What do you mean?" The Avatar's faces contorted with confusion and the first hints of concern.

"It would be rude to meet you with just an avatar, right? I will be here directly."

"What? Sto—"

Ren placed his index finger on his lips in a gesture for silence and whispered the words that would either save them all or damn them forever.

"Dominion of the Crawling Madness."
