Su Qing immediately eliminated option D—it was too obvious.
Option C, though… Sparkle seemed to care deeply. Perhaps it had something to do with the Entropy Loss Syndrome.
Trying to convince someone on the brink of despair to give up hope? Not very realistic.
[After some thought, you make your decision.]
[You decide to accompany Sparkle, expressing your own curiosity about the Deep Dreamscape.]
[At the same time, you caution her not to go too deep. Since danger lurks, it's best to stick to the edges on a first entry.]
[Your suggestion is sound. Sparkle agrees with you.]
[And so, the two of you enter the Original Dreamscape, carefully exploring near the exit.]
"So this is the real dreamscape hidden by the family...?"
Sparkle observes her surroundings.
The dreamscape is steeped in gloom—twisted dream bubbles, inverted directions, ticking clocks everywhere, and the occasional whispers echoing through the air.
[Sparkle pays special attention to the clocks and whispers—she suspects they relate to the Clockmaker's legacy.]
[You raise your camera and capture the scene. These are images no ordinary tour of Penacony could yield.]
"It's about time to head back," Su Qing reminds her.
"Mm, okay."
Though still curious, they've gained enough from this initial exploration. Sparkle keeps her promise, and the two head for the exit.
At some point, the surroundings fall into a heavy silence.
A grotesque creature appears silently behind them—it has many eyes, a shape like a hand, and a tail with a sharp stinger.
[March 7th: !!]
[March 7th: Turn around! Turn around now!!]
But neither of them notices. They continue chatting, walking toward the exit.
The creature lunges.
It moves too fast, and for some reason, targets Sparkle with terrifying precision.
It whizzes past Su Qing, the stinger slicing like a blade.
Sparkle's eyes go wide. She turns suddenly, fingers twitching as if to react—but it's too fast. She doesn't have time to act...
[Time freezes here.]
[The purple creature. The girl in peril. You feel a strange sense of déjà vu.]
[Perhaps it's because tragedies always play out like this?]
[A sense of impending loss grips your chest.]
[Talent: Teleportation]
[Description: Don't be bound by scripted outcomes. Don't entrust your hope to others. Only when you grasp power and opportunity yourself can regret be avoided.]
[Even the best skills require someone to wield them.]
[And if that someone hesitates, they become meaningless.]
[This scene challenges you: will you hesitate?]
[Some hesitation comes with no second chance.]
BOOM!!!
The monster's stinger slams down, kicking up a cloud of smoke and dust.
Sparkle jolts—only to find herself in Su Qing's arms, far from where she was.
"Run!"
Su Qing doesn't hesitate. He releases her from the embrace only to take her hand and dash for the exit.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
It's just a few steps to the exit—but in this crisis, time slows. Thoughts race. Each frame stretches out.
The dust settles slowly.
Behind them, the creature yanks its tail free from the wall. Its body twists—ready to strike again.
At first, Sparkle is still facing the monster. Then, slowly, she turns and sees Su Qing—gripping her hand tightly ahead of her.
He's holding on tightly. But it doesn't hurt. Instead, she feels safe.
The next moment—
Light floods their vision.
They're out of the dreamscape. The unstable entrance collapses behind them with a terrifying screech.
And then... silence. Su Qing and Sparkle stand still.
From a third-person perspective, it's as if nothing had happened. But both their hearts are pounding wildly.
Su Qing lets go of Sparkle's hand.
"..."
Sparkle grabs his hand again.
Her hand is small, soft, and warm. She holds on tightly.
Su Qing looks over, surprised. Sparkle doesn't avoid his gaze. She stares right back.
Their expressions carry tension—yet also a surreal urge to laugh after escaping death.
Su Qing doesn't pull away. At this moment, holding hands doesn't mean anything more.
Just feeling each other's warmth helps calm their racing hearts.
·
[The crisis felt long, but in reality, it was over in moments.]
[March 7th: So intense! So intense!]
[March 7th: When the monster appeared, I literally held my breath!]
[Bronya: +1]
[Trailblazer: That thing's ridiculously fast and sneaky.]
[Trailblazer: If we'd picked the "go deeper" option, we'd be rolling the credits by now.]
[Sparkle's heart is still pounding.]
[Sparkle: Watching yourself nearly die… it's a bizarrely novel experience. Good thing Su Qing was there.]
[Sparkle: Ah…]
[The simulated memory slowly returns. And now, thinking back on holding hands… it doesn't feel quite as innocent anymore. Sparkle feels her cheeks flush.]
[March 7th: What would've happened if we chose option D earlier?]
[Firefly: I got this.]
[Firefly: "While you sip Soulada in a cozy hotel, the girl who once laughed and ran beside you may have already turned to fading embers… dying alone…"]
[Trailblazer: Stop, stop!]
[Trailblazer: You damn Masked Fool! Why's your imagination so vivid!?]
[Firefly: You asked, and I answered~]

[Emotions take time to grow. But sometimes, a sudden shared experience can accelerate everything.]
[Not long ago, you and Sparkle were just familiar partners—employer and guide.]
[But after a string of sudden events, it's like some invisible wall broke between you. You're closer now. Much closer.]
[And oddly enough, it all started with that actress picking a fight.]
Su Qing decides that, in her honor, he'll give the actress a permanent place in his photo album.
[Trailblazer: ? That's some twisted way of repaying kindness.]
[Seele: Not really kindness. More like… a catalyst.]
After such a brush with death, even Su Qing decides to pause work and unwind.
So the two of them buy fireworks and head to the rooftop.
"Look, look!"
Twilight falls. Sparkle twirls with two sparklers in hand, laughing joyfully.
Her arms outstretched, her long silver hair floats behind her.
Su Qing holds a sparkler too—and of course, his camera, snapping shots of the moment.
"Ah, it ended so fast…" Sparkle sighs, looking at her spent sparkler with regret.
Good times always pass in a flash.
"Oh! Let's take a photo together!" Sparkle exclaims. Su Qing's always the one behind the camera, rarely in the photos himself.
Su Qing considers it: "Sure."
Cameras aren't ideal for selfies, so he pulls out his phone. They stand side by side—but there's some space between them.
"Come on, closer! Don't be shy." Sparkle grins.
"I think *you're* the shy one."
"No way. I'm the one asking you for a photo!"
Their first selfie carries a strange air of competition—each trying not to lose in this unspoken game.
As their shoulders touch slightly, they both quiet down.
Su Qing adjusts the phone, finds the right angle.
"Okay then. Eyes on the lens," Sparkle says gently. "One, two, three… cheese~"
She flashes a sweet smile and throws up a peace sign.
With the starry sky as their backdrop, they snap the picture. A faint shooting star streaks by.
[You send the photo to Sparkle, then study it closely.]
[There's something different about this one. It fills a void the other photos never touched.]
[Is it because you're in the shot?]
[Or because of Sparkle's vivid expression?]
[As you stare at it, something clicks.]
[So you ask Sparkle, "Can we revisit the places we went together?"]
[She's a bit puzzled but agrees instantly: "Sure! Where do you want to start?"]
·
[March 7th: Rewalking the places you visited together?]
[March 7th: Wait… is this a DATE!?]
