The amount of seawater contained in that strike, if it had landed in a place like Cairo, could have instantly leveled the entire capital.
Of course, Rin wasn't that insane.
Since the battle was happening deep in the desert, there was no need to worry about collateral damage.
"Not bad."
Rin felt that if the move connected, even a Campione would likely have their bones crushed and internal organs shattered under the terrifying water pressure.
On top of that, it dealt wide-area AoE damage.
To be honest, Rin was quite satisfied with this technique. He believed it could stand alongside the ultimate moves of other Campiones.
He then checked his magicule consumption.
In terms of magicules, Rin far surpassed an average Campione.
His case was special.
Most Campiones, apart from their initial rebirth as earthly demon kings, didn't gain much of a magicule increase from killing additional Heretic Gods.
But Rin was different. His magicules would double with each pantheon he usurped.
For instance, his base magicule value after becoming a Campione was 1.
After obtaining Authority from Lucifer and Lilith, due to the blessing of the Hebrew pantheon, it increased to 2.
If he defeated Osiris and acquired the Egyptian pantheon, it would rise from 2 to 3.
"Twice the magicules of an ordinary Campione."
"That attack just now used about 0.2 of my magicules."
Which meant Rin could unleash that massive ultimate move ten times in a row without resting.
Thud!
Just as Rin was admiring the ocean created by his Authority, the sound of a scepter striking the ground rang out in the distance.
Immediately after, the raging waves began to recede under some invisible force.
"This is...?"
Rin frowned slightly. He didn't recall Osiris having the ability to control water.
"You are very strong, son of the fool."
Osiris's figure appeared in the air, his black trench coat blending into the dark sky.
"But you shouldn't have provoked me."
As he spoke, Osiris raised his hand.
"Hmm?"
Rin saw the jar in his hand—the one Set had used as a divine tool to summon him.
Bang!
Osiris crushed the jar, slowly pouring out the fine yellow sand inside.
The sand drifted in the air but didn't scatter. Instead, it merged directly into Osiris's body.
"Finally…"
Did you think Osiris summoned all those undead just to decide victory through sheer numbers?
Of course not.
His real goal was to reclaim his final missing body part.
Legend has it that Osiris was once tricked into a coffin and killed by his brother Set.
After his death, Set threw the coffin containing Osiris's body into the Nile, which later became the source of the river's flooding.
Later, Osiris's wife, Isis, found his body and tried to resurrect him.
Unfortunately, her plan was discovered by Set, who then dismembered Osiris into fourteen pieces and scattered them across the world.
Isis spent years gathering the fragments but could only find thirteen. The final piece, symbolizing masculinity, was never recovered.
That was why, even though Osiris was revived in mummy form, he could only survive for one night.
"Is the Authority he used to dispel my summoned seawater derived from the myth of the Nile's flooding?"
Where Heretic Gods surpass Campiones is in their ability to transform myths directly into Authorities.
The more myths associated with them, the more Authorities they can wield.
This is fundamentally different from Campiones, who can only usurp a single Authority from each Heretic God.
"But why is he in such a hurry to reclaim his lost body parts?"
Osiris soon gave Rin the answer.
As the final fragment merged into his body, his divinity became complete.
He was now both the Lord of the Underworld, representing death, and the King of Abundance, symbolizing life.
In theory, Osiris should have been the eternal ruler of the world in Egyptian mythology.
There would have been no later Horus, no Pharaohs.
Before recovering his last body part, Osiris was only the Lord of the Underworld.
But now, with life and death unified, he broke free from the bonds of the afterlife and reconnected with his former self.
At this moment, Osiris completed the resurrection ritual.
He was no longer a ruler of the dead.
He was a king who transcended life and death—eternal and self-existent.
Whoosh~
Osiris removed the black trench coat from his shoulders. His body grew stronger, his appearance transforming from a man in his forties or fifties to a youth in his twenties or thirties.
His black hair shimmered with sunlight, and the deathly aura around him was replaced with radiant flames.
"This..."
Rin was a little puzzled by the reason for Osiris's transformation.
But he had a hunch.
This Osiris was on a completely different level from before.
"No..."
Rin rejected his own thought.
"This isn't just completion. It's a divine descent ritual connecting him to a higher dimension."
The current Osiris was fundamentally different from the mythological Lord of the Underworld.
His will and power were merging with a higher being.
"You've done very well, Osiris..."
When Osiris opened his eyes again, a golden disc appeared behind him, inscribed with heaven, earth, and all living beings.
At the same time, from the information Rin could perceive, a brand-new divine identity emerged.
[Amon-Ra Atum]
[Description: The trinity solar deity of dawn, noon, and dusk. He symbolizes the cycle of life and death, and the union of reincarnation and the calendar.]
A self-born god. The supreme deity of the Egyptian pantheon.
When Set uses peace as a medium, and when Osiris completes the fusion of life and death,
his will shall awaken above the Ennead.
This is the Heretic God descent of the supreme god of Egyptian mythology—Ra.
