Chapter 1 - short serie.

The New Kid

It was the first day of junior year at Crestwood High, and Emma couldn't help but feel a little excited — mostly because new students always meant new stories, and new stories were the best kind of distraction from the usual school drama.

But today, her attention was caught not by herself, but by two boys who sat across the hallway from her locker. One of them had sandy blonde hair that curled just a little at the ends and a crooked smile that seemed to make the entire hallway brighter. The other had dark hair, almost raven black, falling messily over his forehead, and eyes so deep they seemed to hold secrets.

Emma watched as they talked, leaned in close, and laughed — the way their shoulders brushed together, the shy glances, the easy comfort. It was the kind of friendship that felt like it had already lasted a lifetime, even if today was only their first day at Crestwood.

Chapter 2: An Unexpected Friendship

Lucas was the new kid — the blonde boy with the easy smile. He had moved here from a small town halfway across the country and felt like a fish out of water in the crowded hallways of Crestwood. Everything here was bigger, louder, and somehow colder.

He wasn't exactly looking forward to making new friends, but then he met Jamie.

Jamie was unlike anyone Lucas had ever met — quiet but not shy, smart but not arrogant. His dark eyes held something mysterious, and when he smiled, it was like the whole world slowed down.

They met by accident — Lucas dropped his books in the cafeteria, and Jamie bent down to help him. That small moment was the start of something neither of them expected.

Chapter 3: A Secret Shared

Days passed, and Lucas and Jamie became inseparable. They studied together, shared jokes, and found comfort in each other's presence. But there was something unspoken between them — a secret feeling that neither dared to name.

One afternoon, they sat under the big oak tree behind the school, the sunlight filtering through the leaves like a thousand tiny stars. Jamie was unusually quiet.

"Lucas," Jamie started, hesitating. "Have you ever felt like you didn't really fit in? Like you were hiding something, even from yourself?"

Lucas looked at him, surprised by how vulnerable Jamie sounded. "Yeah," he admitted. "All the time."

Jamie took a deep breath. "I think… I think I like you. More than just as a friend."

Lucas's heart raced. He had felt the same way but was scared to say it.

"I like you too," he whispered.

Chapter 4: The First Kiss

Their first kiss was awkward and sweet — a soft, nervous brush of lips under the oak tree. It wasn't perfect, but it was real, and it was theirs.

From that moment, everything changed. They weren't just friends anymore; they were something new, something beautiful.

But not everyone at school was ready for that. Rumors started, whispers followed, and for the first time, Lucas and Jamie felt the weight of being different.

Chapter 5: Standing Together

Instead of pulling apart, they stood stronger. They leaned on each other when the world got heavy, found courage in their shared smiles, and hope in the promises they made.

Emma, watching from a distance, admired their bravery. She knew the road ahead wouldn't be easy for them, but she believed in love — in all its forms.

Chapter 6: When Stars Align

On the last day of school before summer break, Lucas and Jamie lay on the grass, staring up at the night sky. The stars twinkled above like tiny promises.

Jamie squeezed Lucas's hand. "No matter what happens, I'm glad we found each other."

Lucas smiled, heart full. "Me too."

And under the endless sky, two boys' hearts beat together — proving that love, in its purest form, can shine brightest in the darkest nights.
