Chapter 208 - 198

Chapter 198

The kind of existence that cannot be sensed, that knows nothing and seems to have surpassed their dimension, was what truly frightened Arisawa Tatsuki.

She couldn't move, not at all.

All she could do was watch as the two men walked toward her step by step.

Would she die like this?

It felt like such a pity that she would leave this world without being able to see more of it.

Aizen Sōsuke looked at Arisawa Tatsuki and Asano Keigo in front of him. "Although there is not much meaning in killing you, if killing you can anger Yuta, then it is a good choice."

As he spoke, a Zanpakutō extended from the palm of Aizen's hand.

In this form, Aizen's Zanpakutō had merged with his right hand. Normally, it appeared as though he carried no weapon, but at will it extended seamlessly from his palm.

Just as the blade was about to fall on Tatsuki's neck, a figure stepped between them.

"Aizen, even if you want to irritate me, you do not have to kill her." The one who appeared before Aizen was Yuta himself.

The moment she saw him, Tatsuki's body finally relaxed. Unable to hold on any longer, she collapsed forward, only to be caught by Yuta. He moved her aside carefully to a safe place.

"All of you, stay back," Yuta ordered firmly. "I'll deal with Aizen Sōsuke."

Seeing Yuta stand before him at last, Aizen smiled faintly.

"Yuta... it seems you are finally willing to fight. I imagine my killing these humans was what pushed you here. Someone like you, who refuses to be ruthless, could never surpass me."

Yuta's reply was calm and direct.

"Sōsuke, are you saying you are afraid of me?"

"Afraid of you? How laughable..."

The words had barely left his mouth before Yuta's hand clamped over Aizen's face, blasting him out of Karakura Town with overwhelming force.

Shock registered on Aizen's face as he was sent flying.

"Impossible... I have already surpassed everyone. How can Yuta so easily overwhelm me by sheer force?"

…In the present world.

After Yuta had left, Kuchiki Rukia couldn't help but worry aloud. The thought of him fighting Aizen was unsettling in a way that left her uneasy. She had seen Aizen's power firsthand; he was a monster beyond standard measure. Even knowing Yuta's overwhelming strength, could he really defeat someone like Aizen?

Matsumoto Rangiku shared the same concern. Meeting Rukia's gaze, she nodded slightly. Both silently agreed to head to Soul Society to see what would happen to Yuta there.

Meanwhile, Inoue Orihime approached Soi-Fon.

"Sōten Kisshun, I reject."

Within moments, Soi-Fon's severed arm had been restored.

"Thank you, Inoue," Soi-Fon said sincerely.

Orihime lowered her head with uncertainty.

"You're welcome... This is probably one of the few things I can do right now. But... I can't help worrying about Yuta-san..." Tears gathered in her eyes as she pressed her hands against her chest.

"Yuta-san is always like this... facing crises we cannot face alone, standing in front of us all. Everyone expects him to fight against such powerful enemies... but I just want him to be safe."

Soi-Fon's mind wandered back briefly to the last time she had seen Yoruichi-sama clash with Yuta amid a storm of smoke and lightning. Only Yuta had emerged afterward. Yoruichi's presence had vanished, but if she was with anyone, it must have been Yuta. Thinking of him again, Soi-Fon spoke with quiet conviction.

"Believe in Yuta. He is the kind of person who can create possibilities out of impossibilities. No matter how strong the enemy, he has always overcome them. I plan to head to Soul Society to see for myself. Will you come with me?"

"Yes." Orihime wiped her tears quickly and nodded firmly.

Elsewhere, as Unohana Retsu oversaw the treatment of the wounded, even she considered what might become of the clash between Yuta and Aizen Sōsuke.

One by one, more arrived in Soul Society to witness the situation unfold. Rangiku and Rukia were the first to reach Karakura Town. As they arrived, they caught sight of Yuta and Aizen moving farther away in battle. Nearby, Tatsuki was struggling to her feet after collapsing earlier. Spotting them, Tatsuki tried to call out.

"Rukia-san…"

She recognized Rukia from before, but Rangiku was new to her. The woman's golden hair shone even in the battle-scared surroundings, her skin pale and striking against her shihakushō. She could only imagine that someone so beautiful must be connected to Yuta in some way.

"Stay where you are, Arisawa-san," Rukia cautioned. "This is beyond what ordinary humans can involve themselves in now."

"Let's follow them and see," Rangiku urged quietly. Rukia gave a short nod, and together they pursued in Yuta and Aizen's direction.

Closer to the confrontation, Gin Ichimaru was also following after Yuta and Aizen. At first, he had planned to strike Aizen himself. But Aizen's current form gave him pause. If before he could at least sense Aizen's reiatsu, now it was completely concealed. A surprise attack might not even reach him. Perhaps Aizen had already anticipated his intentions. Still, Gin knew he had little choice but to fight when the chance came. Whether he could succeed didn't matter; trying was the only option left to him.

What caught him off guard was that Yuta had already made a move. Yuta was strong, undeniably so-but Aizen was something else entirely now, more monster than man. Could Yuta really stand against him? Gin wasn't sure, but he had to see it through.

Not far behind, Soi-Fon and Orihime caught up after Rangiku and Rukia.

Meanwhile, in Hueco Mundo, Tia Harribel shattered Yuta's barriers with her spiritual pressure and sent her three Fracción away safely. Soon after, Stark and Lilynette approached her.

"I plan to head to Soul Society to watch Yuta and Aizen fight," Stark said quietly.

"I want to come too!" Lilynette added eagerly.

Harribel considered the thought for a moment before answering.

"Let's all see for ourselves. If Yuta fails in this battle, then the world will surely fall under Aizen's grasp."

Stark frowned slightly but nodded.

"I have no desire to become king myself. After this fight, Harribel, you should rule Hueco Mundo."

Harribel shook her head lightly as she looked across the endless dark skies of Hueco Mundo. After witnessing Barragan and Aizen rise and fall, she had long since lost faith in the notion of kingship.

"Hueco Mundo does not need a king. A sky without a ruler, one where its people can breathe freely-that is the Hueco Mundo I want."
