To the world, Kael is a monster. To Aria, he’s the only place that’s ever felt like home. But when Prince Liam Blackwood—second heir to the throne—lays eyes on Aria, obsession takes root. He is royal, rich, powerful… and cruel. And what he can’t have, he’s willing to destroy. Torn between duty and desire, Aria must choose: The crown that could make her queen… Or the beast that makes her feel alive. Chapter 1 - The eyes of the Beast

The sky bled crimson as the sun disappeared behind the high towers of Blackthorne Palace. Bells echoed across the valley, announcing the royal court's arrival. But Aria Evergreen didn't care for the sound of politics or power.

She stood alone in the garden of her father's estate, where the roses grew wild, untamed—just like her thoughts.

"They say he's cursed… That his eyes alone can freeze your soul."

Aria exhaled slowly, her fingers trailing across the petal of a white bloom.

She could still feel it—the way his gaze had locked with hers two nights ago in the forest.

Kael Valerian.

Alpha of the Northern Claw Pack.

Feared by nobles. Hated by royals.

Wanted by her.

"His eyes were cold… wild… like a storm that no one could tame. Yet I couldn't look away."

That night, she had strayed beyond the safe path, chasing a wounded deer. What she found instead… was him.

He hadn't said a word.

He didn't need to.

One step from him had silenced the air.

One glance, and her world had shifted.

She remembered his voice—deep, low, threaded with danger.

"You shouldn't be here, little rose."

And now… she couldn't stop thinking about him.

Back inside the estate, voices echoed. Her cousin Selene was laughing with guests, flirting loudly. She always knew how to steal attention. Aria hated crowds—and Selene hated that Aria didn't need to try.

She sighed, turning back toward the door.

That was when a shadow moved near the gate.

Her heart jumped.

And then she saw him.

Liam Blackwood.

Clad in royal black and gold, with eyes that glowed like embers.

He was smiling.

But not with kindness.

"Lady Aria," he said, stepping forward, voice smooth like poisoned wine.

"You've been avoiding me."
