Chapter 21 - Minato was a illusion

Witnessing the shadow shadow clone move, Kagero was shocked in his heart and quickly looked back.

He saw that under the setting sun, a thin figure was rushing toward him at lightning speed.

He was as fast as thunder, dragging a trail of electricity behind him like the roar of a storm. Lightning coiled in his hand—he appeared like the god of thunder descending upon the earth.

"Synchronize in unison—Chidori!!!"

"Machaka!! How can this be?!"

Kagero looked at Kakashi with utter disbelief. He couldn't understand how Kakashi appeared so suddenly—let alone how Kakashi's speed had increased to this level.

He didn't even have the chance to use the body flicker or substitution technique to evade.

"Go to hell!! Chidori!!!"

With a flash of blinding electricity, Kakashi lunged forward. His right hand, now a blade of lightning, pierced straight through Kagero's chest with a sickening squelch.

"Damn brat!!!"

Blood sprayed as Kagero looked down in disbelief at the arm that had completely pierced through him. His expression was filled with deep unwillingness.

Just a little more… he could've had the Sharingan.

It was this brat's fault! It was all because of this cursed brat! And that lighting strike earlier who is it…

With hatred glowing in his eyes, Kagero glared at Kakashi as though he wanted to skin him alive and devour him. But Kakashi's expression remained calm.

A dazzling arc of lightning surged once again from Kakashi's arm.

The screeching cry of the Chidori echoed out as its residual power erupted—obliterating the internal organs of Kagero in an instant.

"Poof!!"

Kakashi pulled out his hand with a sharp jerk, blood splattering across the dirt, dyeing the earth red. Obito and Kakashi were both showered with the spray.

"Obito, are you alright?"

Draining the blood from his arm, Kakashi immediately knelt beside Obito and helped him sit up.

"Kakashi… why are you here…?"I thought it sensei was here but was it you all along …

Sensei are you sure you have not injured you're head and go insane, how can sensei be here he should be at the battlefield facing the incoming ninjas .

Obito stared at him, dazed and breathless. His emotions were mixed—relief, disbelief, and… a strange warmth.

He still couldn't believe it.

Just moments ago, he was on the verge of death, his Sharingan about to be taken and she was sure he saw sensei—yet Kakashi had appeared like a phantom, and with one Chidori, had ended Kagero's life.I really heard sensei voice is it really a hallucination or a illusion….

When Kakashi answered, his tone was earnest. He had already made up his mind.

Obito listened to every word—and a warmth began to spread through him. The bitterness he had felt for Kakashi slowly melted away.

This moment solidified their bond. A deep trust had been formed—no longer just teammates, but true comrades.

Meanwhile…

Not far away, in the shadows, a pair of eyes silently observed the scene.

The shadow clone narrowed his eyes.

Something about this entire event felt… wrong.

"This is different from the original timeline…"

"If I recall correctly, in the original storyline… Obito awakened his Sharingan during the fight with Kagero and ultimately killed him himself by the boulder."

"Kakashi only appeared later and even lost his eye protecting Obito."

Yet now…

Kakashi's eye was untouched.

Obito was slightly stronger than he was supposed to be.

And Kagero died by Kakashi's hands, not Obito's.

"The butterfly effect has started…"

"The gears of fate are no longer aligned with the original world."

With narrowed eyes, the shadow clone nodded once before vanishing in a shimmer of golden light—using the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport away.

[Meanwhile – In a hidden cave]

Deep within enemy territory, a group of Iwagakure shinobi carved strange symbols across the cold floor.

At the center of it all, a frightened 12-year-old girl trembled—Rin Nohara. Her eyes darted around, filled with dread. Her breathing was shallow, her heart racing.

Like a rabbit cornered by wolves.

"It's ready!! Time to activate the spell!"

The Iwa-nin gathered around her, chuckling darkly.

"Don't worry, little girl. We won't kill you. Once the spell's complete, you'll go back to Konoha safe and sound."

"W-what are you trying to do to me?!"

Rin cried out, her voice trembling.

"Nothing much! Just a little experiment~"

They sneered, forming hand signs rapidly.

They each bit their fingers, summoning blood to initiate the jutsu.

Their palms slammed against the floor as chakra erupted from the spell formation.

"Boom!!!"

The runes began to glow and squirm—like living creatures slithering across the ground, heading straight for Rin like a tide of curses.

"NO!!!!"

Suddenly—

"ZAAA!!!"

A golden flash cleaved the formation apart.

Electricity danced.

Thunder cracked.

And a lone figure stood between Rin and the spell array.

"Trying to harm my disciple… do you have a death wish mate —Minato Namikaze is here to disintegrate few worms who scared my lovely disciple"

His cloak fluttered.

The air burned with ozone clearing.

His eyes were cold and piercing.

The thunder god had arrived.
