While the island was teeming with tranquility and natural beauty, Abu Ahmed called out:
"Ahmed! Go, call your mother and Mrs. Sayuri."
Ahmed, still puzzled, thought for a moment and said to himself:
Why is my father meeting with Mr. Haruki? Is there something they are plotting?
He then went to his mother and Mrs. Sayuri nearby.
"Where are they?" his mother asked.
"They are on the yacht, planning… but I don't know what they are planning."
Um Ahmed and Mrs. Sayuri went to where Abu Ahmed and Mr. Haruki were. There, Abu Ahmed revealed the plan they had prepared.
"At eleven o'clock sharp… we execute the plan," Abu Ahmed said.
It was nine in the morning.
The children were playing in the sea, swimming and collecting shells. Ahmed had wandered into the island to search for the famous Dragon Blood Tree of Socotra. Meanwhile, Misaki was deeply enjoying herself, watching rare birds soaring through the clear sky.
Suddenly, one of her sisters called out: "Misaki! Go now, answer your mother."
Misaki went, and there Mrs. Sayuri told her the entire plan. She said excitedly: "Today you will surprise Ahmed, and it will be a day to remember."
Misaki was overjoyed by what she heard, especially since Ahmed knew nothing of the surprise. While Ahmed wandered the island, contemplating the Dragon Blood trees, he had no idea that a massive surprise was waiting for him.
Then, the time drew near.
Um Ahmed and Mrs. Sayuri began preparing Misaki, dressing her in the special engagement gown.
At the same time, Abu Ahmed and Mr. Haruki were searching for Ahmed. They called out to him from afar: "Ahmed! Where are you?"
Ahmed heard their voices and replied: "I am here."
When he reached them, they led him to another location where Misaki was waiting in her beautiful engagement dress. Ahmed was lured into the trap with a blindfold, leaving him unable to see a thing.
Mr. Haruki said with a light smile: "We have a little game we'd like to play."
"A game?" Ahmed replied, unaware of what was happening.
Abu Ahmed said: "It will be an exciting game. We will blindfold you so you can't see anything. Then, you will hold something we've prepared, and Misaki will take the ring and try to place it on your hand. If you can guess what you are touching, you win. Are you ready?"
Ahmed agreed eagerly: "Yes."
The blindfold was tied, covering his eyes completely.
While Abu Ahmed and Mr. Haruki laughed in secret joy, they led him to the spot where Misaki stood in her gown. Ahmed had no idea he was part of the "Great Decoy."
Abu Ahmed gave him the ring and said: "Hold it firmly; this is an important moment."
As Ahmed began to examine the object in his hand, he felt the cold touch of metal. He thought to himself, confused: What is this?
Suddenly, Misaki slid the ring onto his finger before he could even realize it. She smiled, saying to herself: If I don't fail at this moment, we will be together forever.
When the blindfold was removed, Ahmed saw Misaki in her stunning engagement dress, and astonishment washed over him. He was wearing the same ring Misaki wore, with their names engraved in beautiful letters.
Ahmed felt the shock of a lifetime. He whispered to himself while holding the ring:
"I have been betrayed!"
While Mr. Haruki and Abu Ahmed roared with laughter at Ahmed's reaction, Ahmed turned toward Misaki and said in a tone filled with both pain and laughter: "All of this... just for your laughter?"
Misaki then hugged Ahmed, her eyes filling with tears of joy, while Ahmed patted her head and said softly: "I have been utterly betrayed... but it was worth it."
The children of the family laughed innocently, sharing in this grand moment of joy. Um Ahmed and Mrs. Sayuri watched everything, smiling as pride seeped into their hearts.
In that moment, while everyone was immersed in happiness, a sudden call came to Abu Ahmed and Mr. Haruki. The call demanded immediate action.
The person on the other end said: "No, we must see you early tomorrow morning."
Abu Ahmed replied: "We are at the wedding party of my son and daughter," and he hung up.
At that moment, Um Ahmed and Mrs. Sayuri went out to distribute the snacks and chocolates that Ahmed had hidden, sharing them with everyone so the family could complete their celebration together.
