Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: A Giant Woman

~Kotaro Hakari~

Alright, do or die time. Or if they are a worse type of Yakuza, worse than die. I have confidence in escaping a car but not a full compound. And I do not have any delusions of this world being a mundane one.

I held my breath before summoning Spectral Claw. It felt completely natural to me, as if I had just discovered a limb that had been with me my entire life. One moment I was bound, and a moment later, my restraints were torn open by a Spectral Arm as thick as my torso, manifesting on top of my regular arm. It looked like it was made from purple flames condensed into the form of a demonic-looking arm.

"What the the-!? We bein' attacked!?"

Of course, manifesting such large arms dented the trunk, but I didn't marvel at the feeling of having powers and instead moved my arms and easily tore open the trunk of the car like it was papier-mache before flinging myself out onto the road.

"Grh!"

I felt my body disagree with me as my back hit the road going at 50km/h. At least I managed to cushion myself using Spectral Arm. I felt my head spin, but still tore apart the remaining ropes restraining my legs with Spectral Claw.

"Cough cough!"

"What!?" "Is that kid ok?" "Oh no! A villain! Everybody run!" "Is there a hero around!?"

The sounds of panic tortured my throbbing head. I tried to push through, but I felt vomit leave my mouth, shifting my gaze to the side I saw the doors of the vehicle I had thrown myself out of open forcefully as two men in suits stepped out.

"Don't let him escape! Even if it means we have to fight, we have to grab him!"

"Got it!"

Give me a break.

Seeing the two men rushing towards me, with alarming speeds mind you. I did the only thing I could, I gripped the ground with my arm while making Spectral Claw as long as possible, making it reach over 2 two meters before pulling myself and flinging me with its supernatural strength.

"Urgh!"

I felt my wounds throb as I sailed through the air, even with my grit they were impossible to ignore, and those guys were damn persistent. As I reached the peak of my fling and started to plummet I grabbed a street lamp and flung myself again.

"Hit him! A few bullet holes won't matter!"

I only had a few moments to process the words before 5 distinct bangs rang out, and I felt my shoulder gain a new hole to bleed through.

Motherfu- wasn't this Japan!? They are speaking Japanese! How the fuck did they get guns!?

"Kyaah!" "Someone stop them!"

Yeah! Good idea! So why aren't you trying to stop them!?

I gritted my teeth, thankful for the wonderful hormone known as adrenaline before manifesting another spectral arm and using both to safely land on top of a truck driving by, before I launched myself off again. I needed to turn a corner to lose them.

Or lose my life with how much blood I was losing per second.

Hard to be optimistic with a nat 1.

"Get back here or we are going to hurt 'cha more!"

Somehow I doubted that. Still, I was feeling pretty impressed for being able to pull a Tarzan by swinging through the city with spectral arms, but I was getting pretty tired and lightheaded, and I didn't know if it was because I was bleeding out or using too much energy.

Either way, I was a dying half-naked Tarzan with demon arms swinging through the streets of what I assume was Japan. I didn't know how long I had been running or swinging, but my heart was pounding and my vision was blurring.

Ah.

I missed.

I had tried to reach for a street lamp to catch myself but I had missed, and now I was falling towards the ground. If I fell at this height in this condition, I probably wouldn't be getting up.

Was this it? The moment I got another lease on life, it was being taken by the Yakuza once again?

Fuck that shit!

If I couldn't survive meeting the ground with my body, then the ground would need to survive meeting these hands!

The Spectral Claw on my left arm was dispelled while I made the one on my right arm as strong as possible before angling myself so that my fist was aimed towards the ground, and a moment later, I felt my fist impact the ground.

"Grrrrhhh!"

I felt my hand break as the spectral claw vanished but it killed my momentum regardless by absorbing the impact and let me just drop down onto the ground.

"Huff, cough!"

The moment I got myself back onto my feet with a feat of miraculous willpower I wheezed and coughed another lungful of blood. And another,

and another.

I'm pretty sure one of my ribs is having intense penetrative sex with the inside of my lungs right now.

Give, me, a, break!

But just as I was about to start swinging again I saw a giant lady pop up about 50 meters ahead of me and shout-

"Canyon Kick!"

"Fuck! The heroes are here! We are running!"

Slump.

I fell to my knees, my chest heaving up and down. For some reason, that giant woman wearing a white and purple latex suit that was the hottest thing I had ever seen seemed very familiar to me, but I couldn't place my finger on it.

Probably because I was blacking out due to oxygen deprivation and blood loss.

"Hehe~! Mt. Lady saves the day once again!"

She struck a seductive pose for what I assumed was a camera before a bystander pointed at me.

"L-Lady! Help him! He's dying!"

"Huh? Who- oh shit!"

She turned to me and her expression twisted in shock, which I understood. I am pretty sure I looked like a living corpse. And that living part wouldn't be true in about... 5 minutes, give or take.

"Hey, kid! Are you okay!? No, you obviously aren't-"

She crouched towards me, and thankfully, the last thing I saw were her massive boobs barely covered by her skintight suit.

's not a bad last sight to see.

~Hakari Kotaro~

I roused awake, which surprised me really. I thought I was going to go back to the sea of stars and stay there for good this time but apparently no, the universe seemed to take some pity on poor ol' me for once after throwing me headfirst into a flaming pile of dogshit.

The very first thing that I saw was harsh fluorescent lightbulbs. If I had to guess, I was probably in a hospital. I raised my head and rubbed my eyelids, somehow I felt no open wounds on me but I felt like I was wrung like a towel with no energy in my body.

"Oh Sonny, good, you're awake."

I heard an old and caring voice call out from the side. I turned my head to see a very small old woman sitting on a chair next to my bed. The most strange of all was what she wore.

She wore a red and orange one-piece dress with a doctor's coat over it, she also had a blue and pink visor with her tied to a bun with a syringe. Not only that but she also wore pink rubber boots and held a syringe cane.

Definitely not the attire of a medical professional.

...Hey wait a goddamn second.

Now that I had appropriate amounts of blood in my blood and could think rationally without 300cc's of adrenaline pumping through my veins, my brain finally activated my neurons and allowed me to piece things together.

That Yakuza guy had crystal skin, we all spoke Japanese, the civilians called out for a "hero", the woman wearing a tan and purple bodysuit who stopped them who could grow big, Mt. Lady. And now the woman in front of me-

"...Recovery Girl?"

I said in a groggy voice as the woman gave me a pitying look but smiled and nodded.

"Yes, that's me, Sonny. Are you feeling alright?"

I was in My Hero Academia.

"No, I think I have a headache."

She nodded and patted my shoulder.

"Alright, just lie down and rest, I know you are tired Sonny, but the police have some questions they need to ask you. I'm sure you understand after what happened to you. They'll come in a bit. If something happens to you, just press the button next to your bed."

I slumped back onto the bed as she left the room. I'm pretty sure I was losing my damn mind.

No, I was certain.

At least I was alive, that counted for something. In fact, that definitely counted for something considering the notifications that popped up the moment she left the hospital room.

Feat Achieved! Escape from being kidnapped by Yu Hojo

+1x Gold Ability Gacha Ticket

Feat Achieved! Survive a natural 1 start

+1 Platinum Trait Gacha Ticket

I want to roll those right now, but doing so sounds like a dumb idea after she said police were coming to question me. I felt a bit nervous, but then remembered that I was technically not a Yakuza anymore and hadn't broken any laws other than destruction of property so far.

Argh, what a mess. Seek Guidance gives advice, right? Maybe it can tell me something about this situation.

___/Abilities\_____________

-Active(1/1)-

[Rare - Spectral Claw] -> [Elite - Seek Guidance]

It was as simple as willing to replace it, and the active ability slot changed. I sat up on my bed, ignoring the exhaustion assaulting my body and looked at the sentences on the ground that looked like they were burned into the ground with fire.

'Law incoming, try Co-operator.'

'Lie Detector ahead, try truth.'

I think that meant the one coming to question me was the lie detector police guy whose name I couldn't remember. And it also seemed to think that I should try to work with him.

I didn't disagree; however, I would have to choose my words very carefully. Because if I answer wrong, I could potentially lead him down a line of questions where he learns about my transmigration.

Rule 1 of transmigration: Never tell anyone that you transmigrated

Sigh.

This can only go so well.

As I was verbally expressing my displeasure, the door opened up and a man wearing a detective's uniform stepped in. He smiled upon seeing me. I was great at reading expressions, so I could tell he was genuine. Well, I watched the anime, so I already knew he was a good person, but it put me more at ease.

Honestly, he looked as ordinary as you could get, short black hair, black eyes, average height, slightly muscular build, etc. he pulled up a chair next to my bed and sat down with his hands clasped in front of him.

"Hello Hakari-kun, I am Detective Naomasa Tsukasa. I know you must be tired, but I hope you can answer a few questions for me. Don't worry, you aren't in any trouble. I just need your help for my investigation so that I can find who hurt you, alright?"

He pulled out a notebook and gave me a reassuring smile. He seemed like the type who would be good with kids.

"Alright, I don't think I can tell you much, but I'll try my best."

He nodded and extended his hand.

"Then could you please grab my hand, Hakari-kun? I have a lie detector quirk, now, don't think this means I don't trust you, but victims can sometimes lie without intending to, I am just trying to be more thorough."

I nodded and grabbed his hand.

"Excellent Hakari-kun. Now, Hakari-kun, could you please describe to me what happened for you to end up in that situation?"

"I don't know how I ended up in the back of that trunk. Or really anything, I didn't even know my name was Hakari before you said it." A slight distortion of the truth, but not a lie, so it shouldn't be caught. I really did not know shit about the life of this life. I could have been named Megumi for all I knew.

He frowned and furrowed his brows, but more in concern and anger than annoyance or distress at finding a lie.

"...Amnesia? Shit. I'm very sorry, Hakari-kun. Could you at least tell me the latest things you remember? If you can't, that's fine too."

I shook my head.

"The first thing I remember here is waking up from that trunk and escaping and then getting saved by I think Mt. Lady."

He nodded and jotted it down on his notepad.

"Alright, one last question, Hakari-kun, can you tell me what those purple arms you used were? Because your official records list you as Quirkless."

...Great.

A/N: It's always the Yakuza with Hakari, isn't it? Well, at least he managed to survive the absolute clusterfuck that is a nat 1 start. If it weren't obvious, that could have gone VERY badly(otherwise it would have been a breakout arc instead) and surprise! Mt. Lady is actually a competent hero!

You might not expect it, but Seek Guidance is incredibly useful in everything general, even if it has the tendency to troll. What did you guys think about the Yakuza chase scene? I'd love to hear your thoughts about it.
