Chapter 123 - Chapter 126 : Demon Gods!!

After leaving that place, the two set off toward their next destination.

This time, it was the Slane Theocracy, a country that hated the undead above all else.

The Slane Theocracy had been founded by the Six Great Gods and was home to the first batch of transmigrated players.

The other side also possessed world-class artifacts, including one that could control a person's mind, a weapon of irresistible charm.

Of course, for every artifact with a mental attack, there was also a defensive one.

Ren held a mental barrier, capable of defending against such psychic attacks.

As they arrived in the Slane Theocracy, the two decided not to alert anyone.

Keno knew well that this country loathed undead and other non-human races, so there was no need to provoke them.

Soon, they learned that the players known as the demon gods had begun acting recklessly by releasing Demon.

This time, it was a fire lion demon, level 58, capable of casting fire magic and possessing immense strength, causing great trouble for the Slane Theocracy.

"Ren, it seems the places of miracles are all linked to these beings. What should we do?" Keno asked, looking at Ren.

"Let's go to the next location. The Slane Theocracy is strong. They have world-class artifacts, so dealing with this disaster is easy for them. We as undead shouldn't interfere," Ren said without hesitation, turning to leave.

"Alright. Where to next?" Keno looked at the map. There were three more locations on the map given by the player.

"Here. It's just a small country. They can't withstand a demon," Ren decided.

He wanted to make his name known. Later, when the Great Tomb of Nazarick traveled over, it would be easier to find him.

News of a level 70 demon god appearing quickly spread to all countries.

Every major nation took notice, and the first to confront it was Riku and his party, who bravely launched an attack.

A week later, the two arrived at the country marked on the map.

It had already been destroyed, a scene of utter devastation. Clearly, something terrifying had swept through.

"Are we late?" Keno asked, stunned.

"Small countries facing this are doomed. After dealing with it, we'll search for clues about the player," Ren said, using his detection magic.

He quickly confirmed the direction of the demon god's movements and gave chase.

The demon god, level 70, had reached a realm far beyond what humans in this world could ever achieve.

Even its minions were level 50.

A village lay ahead.

"What… is that?" the villagers asked, staring at the massive creature approaching, panic written across their faces.

"It's a giant snake, run."

"My crops…"

"Life is more important, go."

"Damn, it's a monster." The adventurers in the village quickly realized what it was, since the Adventurers' Guild had sent word recently about monsters rampaging, and when you met one you could only run because you couldn't beat it.

As expected, this village was about to be surprised, Ren and Keno arrived, having just delayed the giant snake in the small country, which was why the snake hadn't reached here yet.

But the fleeing villagers didn't notice the two of them until Ren's hand swung and the snake's head fell with a great thud, which finally drew everyone's attention.

Two figures hovered above the snake, one tall and one short, the man holding a knife with blood dripping from it, showing he had slain the giant snake.

"Heroes."

Someone started calling out first, and other villagers echoed the shout, while the adventurers present were sweating, because flight magic meant the pair were at least third-tier, and they weren't ordinary adventurers.

"I am Ren of the Snow Clan, she is Keno of the Red-Eye Clan, we are adventurers here on a mission to slay the giant snake." Ren's voice was low but everyone present could hear him.

"Adventurers, thank you for saving our village." The village elder knelt down.

"No problem, we won't stay, there are other places." Ren and Keno used teleportation magic to leave, they had many scrolls and were carefree.

"Teleportation magic…" The adventurers here froze.

"Heroes." The village chief understood their meaning — to spread the tale and make their names known.

...

Somewhere else.

"My children were mercilessly killed, how pitiful." A figure spoke calmly.

"Shall we go and kill them, they targeted us after all."

"Of course, we must avenge my children."

"Do we keep letting the kids cause destruction?"

"Of course, we need to bring fear to this world." The Insect Demon God showed a terrifying expression.

Several figures rushed toward Ren's location. The team led by the players, Thirteen Heroes, hadn't grown strong yet, so naturally, they focused on Ren, who had killed their pets.

"Are these monsters just animals?" Ren wondered after defeating another one. After all, he knew nothing about what had happened centuries ago with the transmigrators, and information was too scarce.

"The next place is…" Keno's expression turned panicked as she hurriedly said to Ren, "Ren, let's go back quickly. There's one at our home."

"High-level dimensional teleport." Ren didn't hesitate and quickly took Keno back to the blue ocean.

At this moment, the magic Ren had set earlier had a huge creature hovering inside. It couldn't find a way in, so without much hesitation, Ren finished it off.

But soon, another group teleported here. Ren's Insight skill sensed the presence of enemies.

This time, the enemies directly broke through the magic Ren had set and appeared in front of him and Keno.

"Level around seventy-eight, huh." Ren quickly sensed the aura of the two figures.

"Hey hey hey, completely undetectable." One of the figures complained.

"Dimensional Lock." Ren used a magic scroll again, sealing this place.

"Who are you?" The Insect Demon God stared straight at Ren, sensing a deadly danger from him.

"Ren, the one who killed you." Ren said lightly.

He wore artifacts and had several world-class items, including one ranked in the top twenty. Against enemies around level seventy-eight with no world-class tools, it was effortless.

"Damn it." The Insect Demon God immediately released a massive swarm of insects. These insects were level forty-five.

Even in a human hero domain, a single one couldn't be killed, and now they came in overwhelming numbers.

"Struggle one last time," Ren murmured.

Keno's scalp tingled. She felt a wave of trypophobia coming on, and the insect-destroying magic was urgent. She had to develop it—failure was not an option.

The other demon god immediately used a sixth-tier spell, controlling the weather. The once-bright sky darkened, and fierce winds blew.

At the same moment, the insect demon god released a massive amount of gas.

The gas was naturally poisonous, and the weather control spread it quickly. Along with it came countless venomous insects, blocking their vision.

The other demon god hid within the chaos, planning a sneak attack.

If Ren was just a sword god, this might have been difficult to handle. But he had a huge number of magic scrolls and wasn't afraid of any of it.

He threw a seventh-tier magic scroll, Explosive Fire. The powerful flames instantly consumed all the insects, leaving no trace.

The poisonous gas was blocked by his gas mask. In a single moment, the attack was completely neutralized.
