Chapter 20 - Boners and Benzene

The lecture on molecular polarity was dragging on, but Raizen's mind was somewhere else entirely.

He leaned back in his seat, sighing internally.

"I finally find the perfect fuck buddy candidate… and she thinks I assaulted her? Great. Fucking great."

He tapped his pen slowly against the desk.

"Might be better to let this go… no use chasing a storm."

But just as he convinced himself to move on—

Click.

The lights dimmed and the projector shut off.

"That's it for today's lecture," their professor announced. "But before I forget… Seo Yoori, you have a special presentation prepared, right? Are you ready?"

Raizen flinched. That name.

Seo Yoori stood up in her seat behind him with a graceful, businesslike smile. "Of course, professor."

The moment she spoke, Raizen felt a chill. That voice.

Sweet, refined, elegant—

The same voice from last night moaning in a drunken haze.

Yoori walked confidently to the front, hips swaying with unconscious allure. She stood in front of the class, tapping her pen on the podium.

His eyes widened. Shit.

Raizen shrank in his seat and subtly raised his notebook to cover his face.

He couldn't let her get a clear look.

As Yoori spoke, he tried to ignore her seductive voice and focus on the wall.

She was perfectly discussing her topic but then—

Clatter.

Her pen dropped.

She crouched down to retrieve it.

From his position—front-row center—he couldn't help but glance.

Big mistake.

Her firm, plump ass curved out beneath her white trousers. Her lacy bralette underneath can be sean just right from his angle. Smooth skin, seductive posture…

He remembers everything from last night..

God damn.

His pants tightened.

A boner, raging and uninvited, rose like a curse. He was so distracted with last night's memory he didn't even know his weapon was close to unsheathing

Yoori while crouching was extending her arm to reach the pen then as she lifts her head up, her eyes then caught a glimpse of the bulge directly in front of her.

She took a quick pause as she was shocked.

Her cheeks flushed pink.

She was usually calm, poised, untouchable. But now... She shook her head, biting the inside of her cheek to stop herself from reacting.

Still, annoyance crept in.

"This pervert—during my presentation?"

As she rose up, not wanting to let it go, she narrowed her eyes and suddenly pointed at him.

"You. Let's see how much you were listening. Answer this: What's the hybridization state of the carbon atoms in benzene?"

The class turned.

Raizen blinked, notebook still half-covering his face.

Shit, she's calling me out?!

But instead of panicking, he calmly closed his eyes for half a second—

—and used his incubus energy.

A faint pulse of pink aura flowed through his fingers as he tapped into Takumi's surface memory. Just a flicker of the textbook image was enough.

He opened his eyes.

He stood up, finally revealing his face.

"SP2. Each carbon in benzene forms three sigma bonds and one delocalized pi bond. That's why it's planar and aromatic."

The class fell silent.

Yoori blinked.

"He looks familiar?" She thought to herself but shrugged it off and remembered they where doing something.

She clicked her tongue softly. "Correct."

But she didn't stop there.

She followed it up with a trickier follow-up, and then another—

Questions that would make most students choke.

But Raizen answered all of them effortlessly, his voice calm, casual, slightly smug.

He wasn't going to lose face. Not in front of woman, Not anymore. Even if he exhaust all his lust energy, he wont became a laughing stock in-front of anyone anymore. At least that's what he wants to try to do.

The girls in class started whispering.

Sayaka raised an eyebrow. "When did that weirdo get smart?"

Seo Yuna just giggled. "He's always been smarter than he looks."

Yoori, meanwhile, smiled politely. "Impressive. Thank you sir."

Seo Yoori was a professional. She knew how to accept defeat with grace — and when to back down to preserve her pride.

She kept talking, clicking through her slides like nothing happened. But just as he slumped into his seat, something shimmered beneath his collar — a flash of silver that looked all too familiar.

A silver chain.

Her eyes widened slightly.

Memories slammed into her like a truck.

The blurred vision of last night.

A kiss.

Hands on her waist.

A silver necklace. Exactly same as what "he" was wearing.

She froze mid-sentence.

"…was it him?," she whispered under her breath.

But she caught herself in time. No one noticed.

She smiled again. Calm. Polished. Deadly.

The rest of her presentation flowed smoothly, but a new fire burned behind her eyes.

Had she found him already?

he had no idea what storm was coming.
