"Monkey... Hiruzen Sarutobi..."

"...Open your eyes."

Hmm?

The Third Hokage stirred awake.

He had been organizing the forbidden scrolls earlier, muttering about disobedient shinobi and his disappointment in his son. But now—he was here. In this dream.

"Teacher?"

Before him burned a gentle campfire. Sitting calmly beside it, illuminated in warm orange glow, was a white-haired shinobi—his teacher, the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju.

"Monkey, it's been many years. How is the village doing?"

"I..."

What was happening?

Was this... the Pure Land?

Did I die?

He sat up in alarm. No blood. No wounds. Just... a dream?

"Thanks to you, the Hidden Leaf is still standing strong," Hiruzen replied after composing himself.

But still, he eyed the man carefully.

"Teacher... what is this?"

"This is a dream," Tobirama answered plainly. "And a ninjutsu of mine. If you're thinking you're dead—you're not. At least, not for several more months."

Hiruzen's eyes widened.

Tobirama had always been sharp—he saw straight through the heart.

"My time is short, so listen well," Tobirama said, his tone now urgent. "I won't lecture you about the Uchiha massacre... but even in death, there is one thing I cannot let go."

Hiruzen's expression hardened.

"Unity... of the Shinobi World."

The words fell slowly, each one etched deep into Hiruzen's soul.

"Unity of the Shinobi World...?"

Hiruzen had once dreamed of that—he truly had. But time had worn that vision thin.

"We both know neither you nor Danzo had what it takes," Tobirama said, almost coldly. "So before my death, I used a forbidden technique to glimpse the future. I recorded what I saw. That record... is buried in Konoha."

The old fire in Hiruzen's chest flickered faintly.

"You will remember the location when you wake. Use what I left behind. Make the Leaf... rise again."

Tobirama stood slowly, his form fading.

"I hope we don't meet again... not anytime soon."

"Wait—Teacher!!"

But the dream dissolved.

Everything vanished.

Hiruzen shot up in bed, gasping. Sweat on his back. He stared at his trembling, aging hands.

"A dream...?"

——

"This should be about right."

Uchiha Ying stretched lazily and smirked.

Of course, it wasn't Tobirama's spirit.

He had entered Hiruzen Sarutobi's dream using the system's 'Dream Infiltration' skill—posing perfectly as Tobirama himself.

"If things go well, these two old fossils—Hiruzen and Danzo—will shift their eyes away from me... and toward their delusions of grandeur."

Even if Hiruzen doesn't fully believe in dreams... the seed has been planted.

And with time, ambition would bloom.

If not, well—he could always mess with them again later.

That one dream cost him two whole Bond Points. And he could only stay a short while.

But it was worth it.

"The chaos must start somewhere."

Only in chaos could he harvest high-quality ninja fragments. And only with fragments could he grow stronger fast enough to survive what was coming.

"Still got two Action Points left... Time to enter the dungeon."

Even if he couldn't beat the boss right now, gathering pieces from Naruto and Sasuke was a win in itself.

"Enter Dungeon!"

As long as he kept collecting, even unlocking the Mangekyō Sharingan again was possible.

——

"Father."

Soft footsteps padded across polished wood. Pale, bare feet touched down, crimson-painted toes peeking from her training sandals.

Hinata Hyūga had returned.

Still wearing her training gi, she walked straight into the inner dojo of the Hyūga compound.

There, standing firmly in the center of the room with arms crossed behind his back, was her father—Hiashi Hyūga.

"You fought the Uchiha today, didn't you?"

"...I..."

Hinata instinctively touched her chest.

Did she win?

She wasn't sure.

"Win or lose—speak clearly."

Hiashi's voice was cold. Stern. Yet... somewhere deep beneath, there was still something soft.

His eldest daughter—she trained hard, worked tirelessly...

But her talent was far too lacking compared to Neji's.

And she was far too timid. Too gentle.

Not fit to lead the clan.

Still, she was his daughter.

"Come. Show me what you've gained."

"Yes."

Hinata set her stance.

She raised her palms and charged.

——

"Sister... are you okay?"

She wasn't sure how long had passed before she awoke, the pain lingering across her ribs.

At her bedside, eyes wide with worry, was her little sister—Hanabi Hyūga.

"Hanabi...?"

The moment she tried to sit up, pain pulsed through her chest again.

She remembered—

The blows. Her father's relentless strikes.

His words echoing in her ears:

"Your fists are far too soft. You're even weaker than before. A Hyūga like this is unworthy of the clan name."

Hinata bit her lip.

"I... disappointed Father again."

She blinked, pushing the tears down.

"What time is it?"

Hanabi tilted her head.

"Soon time for dinner... Sister, you should rest a bit longer..."

Hinata shook her head, then reached out and took Hanabi's hand.

"I promised we'd play today, remember? Let's go outside."

"A-Alright!"

Hanabi brightened immediately. Her sister was still the best.

But that smile didn't last.

When they reached the courtyard, Hanabi turned to say something—

Only to find Hinata already dozing off, sitting alone on the wooden steps.

"...Sister?"
