Chapter 8 - Chapter Eight

Eliana POV

"Your ribs are healing quite nicely. Duck" Healer Grayson smiled at me and my nose scrunched up at the name he had resorted to calling me by since my week here in his healing bay.

"Don't call me that. My name's Elaina" I grumbled out and he smirked before he turned to leave but then a commotion reached out ears and I exchanged confused looks with him right before the door was smacked open.

Healer Grayson had to dodge as it went flying into the wall and my hackles raised as fear flooded into my system and I snuggled into the bed post, bringing up the duvet with me as someone marched into the room.

Eager to escape whatever it was that was coming into my room of all things, what had I even done? I hadn't even left the room much this past few days so I couldn't have made an enemy that quick.

She was a pretty woman but as soon as she set her eyes on me, her nose flared and she began for me with flashing eyes.

"You bitch" she screeched at the top of her lungs before lunging at me with claws stretched out to fill maximum and a hand enclosed around my form before dragging me away.

She slammed hard into the bed and groaned as she fell to the ground but stood up faster than a beaten rogue.

I went to escape the hands around me but stopped when sparks alighted from our contact and glanced up to find Fermion breathing heavily, with his eyes set on the woman.

She had calmed now that she saw Fermion but she still glared at me with anger.

"What the heck is wrong with you Bennet?" Fermion barked out and she turned her hot glare to him.

"Don't call me as if you don't take me as anything" she screeched, her voice grating in my ears and I cringed, the feeling of fear I once had slowly dissipating.

"I don't. I don't take you as anything and whatever misguided thoughts you have about me, is your own made up notions. But you do not have any right to touch what is mine" he barked out, releasing some of his aura and she staggered on her feet while clutching at the table for balance but I could see that she was straining to still be able to stand.

I glanced at Grayson to notice that he was fine and ticking somethings off the file he held in his hands, which would mean that somehow Fermion was only directing his aura onto her.

He was a projector..? Or something?. It was really cool to watch if you removed my earlier and still fessing fear.

"S-stopp" she cried out and Fermion growled against me with anger and she was sent sprawling to the ground with a painful yelp and a small whimper left her lips.

"Lock her up. She is nit to leave that cell for a week and if she makes any noise then keave her there for a month" Fermion's order had my eyes widening in shock, he was going to lock this beautiful woman up for me? Or was it not for me?.

What was I even thinking?

Grayson nodded and soon, three guards walked in. One of them was a woman and she gave a nod at the rest before they took her out.

But I was curious, a woman? As a warrior? My former pack didn't allow that at all. I took small steps away from Fermion and approached her like she was a puzzle I was trying to put together.

I stared at how built and in shape she was and still managing to look beautiful and a smile broke out on my face.

"That's the first genuine smile she had given since she got here" I heard Grayson whisper faintly to Fermion.

"Can.. you train me?" I asked and a smile broke out on her face before she shook her head and I deflated.

"No, but Master Nyra is in chatge of teaching you" Nyra… Nyra.. where had I heard that name before? Think Eliana, Oh yes, that was Fermion little sister.

"Master Nyra?" I echoed… wasn't she a woman? How was she in charge of the whole of the warriors in this pack and had she beaten up everyone to become their master?

Her smile grew as she watched me and without me speaking, she gave me a nod before bowing and leaving the room.

"You want to train now?" Fermion's voice reached me and I sighed with bliss, subconsciously taking metered steps towards him and he cracked a small smile that spoke volumes but I couldn't understand much of it.

"I do. I want to be stronger"I replied, my voice filled with the conviction and hope that it would happen soon. I was in a pack of wolves stronger than most who would attack me at any minute and I was as weak as an animal going to be slaughtered.

"That is possi-"

"Absolutely not. You still have some ribs left to heal and it won't heal if you're breaking them every three minutes!" Grayson's voice echoed with shock that I would even think of it or that Fermion would even try to accept it and I felt my whole energy deflate before I began for my bed.

"Okay Healer Grayson" Fermion smirked at my nonchalant words before he came to take the seat by my bed.

"How have you been this days?" He asked and I found myself choosing to look out the window instead of speaking with him.

He had left me for two days and he was asking me how I had been? Some mate.

I was still waiting for him to call all these a joke and reject me then send me packing but he still hadn't done it and being far from him made me feel empty which was odd. But I could tell it was because he was my mate.

That word always brought memories back into my head so I avoided speaking it but it seems as if I should start getting used to it.
