Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: The Shinobi Clans Deserve to Die

ANBU Base.

In a dimly lit room, Captain Black Ape said, "Fox, your squad has an emergency mission: eliminate two rogue ninja."

"Captain, are they the ones related to Princess Kushina?"

"No. These are rogues designated by the Yamanaka Clan. They must be killed immediately—this can't wait a single day."

Yako took the scroll and read through it with a puzzled look.

This was a critical time to be monitoring Princess Kushina, and Uzumaki Mito's funeral was fast approaching. He didn't want to miss that spectacle.

The Nine-Tails, Uzumaki Mito, the Senju Clan, Princess Kushina—any one of them could give him a jackpot if he got a lucky draw.

But Yako couldn't complain.

A mission from the ANBU had to be completed. The only option was to finish it quickly and return to the village to continue monitoring Princess Kushina.

After reading the scroll twice, Yako put it down and went to the changing room to assemble his squad.

The Fox Squad quickly left the village and headed northwest.

As they moved, Yako thought about the mission.

The Yamanaka Clan had always been the perfect tools of the village, tasked with duties that were crucial and irreplaceable.

Gathering intel from enemy corpses, planting evidence using the Mind Body Switch Technique, relaying commands on the battlefield...

Back in the capital of the Land of Waves, Yamanaka Kari, a Guardian Captain, had once shown Yako a glimpse of how impossible it was to argue against Yamanaka-framed setups.

Controlling enemy bodies with zero resistance.

If the Yamanaka Clan was urgently requesting ANBU to execute the mission—so urgently that even the team monitoring Princess Kushina had been reassigned—it had to mean these two rogue ninja posed a threat to the Yamanaka's very core.

Were they planning to sell secret clan techniques to an enemy village?

The mission scroll didn't explain what crimes they had committed.

There wasn't enough intel to plan around.

Yako glanced at Purple Cat—she was a member of the Yamanaka Clan.

The only reason ANBU would assign his squad to this was likely due to her.

"Purple Cat, these rogues we're pursuing are from your clan. Do you have any intel on them?"

Purple Cat hesitated, then said:

"Captain, there's nothing particularly special about them. They're both Chūnin-level. Our squad should be enough to eliminate them."

"Why did they defect?"

Faced with the Fox Captain's question, Purple Cat dodged again: "Captain, this matter touches on the Yamanaka Clan's reputation. I'm sorry, I can't say more. But their combat ability truly isn't high. A normal tactical setup should be fine."

Yako was still confused.

They weren't strong, but it involved the clan's reputation. The Yamanaka Clan wanted them dead urgently, yet didn't send their own members and instead leaned on the ANBU?

They tracked the rogues to a small town about 50 kilometers outside Konoha. Yako instructed the squad to search carefully.

According to ANBU intel, the two rogue ninja were very likely hiding here.

The town was small. A brief investigation revealed that a couple of outsiders had recently visited the local bathhouse.

After checking the bathhouse layout, Yako said:

"Purple Cat and I will infiltrate the rear wall of the bathhouse and drill small holes for surveillance.

Antelope and Ironstag, you'll hide in the tree canopy behind the bathhouse and be ready to support us at any time."

With Purple Cat in tow, Yako approached the bathhouse's rear wall and used his Earth-Style chakra to drill a tiny hole.

Peering through it with one eye, he scanned the interior.

It was a mixed bath—men and women, about a dozen in total—but none of them matched the rogue ninja.

Yako wasn't a perv like Jiraiya, so he moved to check the high-end private rooms instead.

He got lucky. After three drilled holes, he found the targets.

Just as he was about to finalize an attack plan, Yako took a closer look.

"Hm? Wait. It's not just two rogue ninja—there are four!"

He nearly acted prematurely. The intel was wrong. With four, they'd need to be more careful.

Purple Cat whispered urgently, "Four? Let me see."

Yako moved aside and let her take a look.

Purple Cat saw the faces and her expression darkened with sorrow. She said, "It's not just the two rogue ninja. There are also two Yamanaka clan shinobi who were supposed to be on a border mission. I don't know why they're here."

"You don't know why?" Yako whispered back.

"Purple Cat, we can't keep hiding intel.

Two rogues we can take down by force. But four? Someone in our squad could die.

That wouldn't be unusual—ANBU squads die all the time.

But if someone dies because of hidden intel, because the Yamanaka Clan deliberately withheld something—that's something I, as the captain, cannot accept.

We ANBU are prepared to die for the village—but our deaths must have value."

Purple Cat breathed nervously. She replied, "Captain… just watch a bit longer, and you'll understand why. It's not that we're hiding the intel… it's that it's really hard to explain."

Yako leaned back to the peephole and continued observing.

The Yamanaka Clan wasn't known for combat ability, so they hadn't noticed him yet.

Among the four, the two rogue ninja seemed to be in command. The two younger ones, just back from the border, were listening intently to them.

The speakers were serious. The listeners even more so.

Then, Yako witnessed something that left him utterly stunned.

He thought the craziest thing he'd see was a wild foursome scene in the hot spring.

He had no idea.

Yako, who had consumed all sorts of wild media from East to West before transmigrating, found himself totally mind-broken.

'Wait… what are they even doing?'

A man and a woman, two Yamanaka shinobi, paired off. They activated Mind Body Switch Technique—on each other.

This technique allowed a Yamanaka to control another's body.

Inside the private bath, the woman's soul controlled the man's body, and the man's soul controlled the woman's body.

Then…

What even is this?

'I…

…slept…

…with myself?'

Hold on. Rewind. That's not right.

The female Yamanaka's soul went into the male ninja's body, then used his body to have a wild, extended session with the woman's own physical body.

An advanced version of the Mind Body Switch Technique?

Mind Switch Body Switch Technique?

The four of them paired off and were exploring this… "technique" together.

Heretics.

No wonder the Yamanaka Clan wanted them dead immediately. These rogue ninja deserved to die.

At that moment, Yako's envy of the clan shinobi hit its peak.

Why?

Why did the Yamanaka, just because they had a secret technique, get to enjoy such "novel" experiences?

They deserved to die!

Shinobi clans are scum!

Yako pulled out Explosive Tags from his tool pouch and signaled Antelope and Ironstag behind him to prepare for immediate action.

Right now!

Immediately!

Explosive Tags were expensive—but nothing else mattered now.

He performed the hand seals. Hidden Fish in Earth Technique activated. The wall rippled like water, and Yako sank into it.

BOOM!

With a thunderous explosion, the private bath descended into utter chaos.
