Ava turns around and looks at Kami confused. ''Are you planning on taking it?''
''We are bandits, aren't we?'' Kami grins.
While Ava steers the gravetread straight, Kami jumps off and starts running with full speed towards the other gravetread. Ava gets shocked when she sees him running questioning herself as to why he would go at it without a plan.
Kami runs barefoot towards the gravetread and takes one big step before taking a big jump towards the vehicle, and land in the middle of it. His landing causes the whole gravetread to start shaking, and the people inside the rooms of the vehicle feel the rumble from outside.
As soon as the guards standing outside see him, they immediately draw their weapons, some draw their rifles while others ready their spears. But this doesn't stop Kami, and he keeps running towards the inside of the gravetread where there are people inside it.
While she's driving and getting closer to the big gravetread, she immediately realizes that it's a royal one.
''Oh, hell no!'' She immediately decides to turn her vehicle the opposite direction in attempt to run away from the commotion.
As she's driving away, Kami comes out of one it's windows with a flying kick and big smile on his face. The guards chase him but stop by the window, they look at Kami running away carrying a small bag filled with food.
One of the royal guards try to follow after him but he is stopped by his colleague who is just as upset as him. '' Idiots like him are not worth it, we have to prioritize the royal family.''
Kami ends up chasing Ava down and manages to get on quickly. He drops the bag of food, in front of Ava with a smile.
''Look I found some good food. And guess what? I got loot too.'' He pulls out a bag of gold coins.
''Woah, nice captain!'' She shouts vigorously. ''But I have to admit, that was pretty reckless from you. That was royal gravetread and the king was probably on it. If they caught you, they would've killed you for sure.''
''But they didn't, and we're alive.''
''I guess you're right.''
Ava puts the vehicle to gear where it can drive on autopilot and joins Kami where the two of them stuff themselves with the stolen food.
''So... where to next?'' Kami asks while his mouth is stuffed with food.
''You're the captain, you're supposed to know.''
Kami shrugs and shakes his head, Ava sighs at his response.
''You're really hopeless for someone who wants to be the King of the World.''
''Don't worry we'll find a map and go to all the places that will make me the king of the world.''
''Oh, I have a map!'' She goes and grabs a map in a spot next to her steering wheel and spreads it wide open. It shows the blueprint of the world.
''Look'' Ava points ''This is where we are, in the Avant - garde Continent.''
''Ah! The Avant - garde continent.''
''You don't know where we are don't you?'' Ava looks at Kami thinking he's hopeless while he is shaking his head. ''You're so hopeless. Okay, so initially there's five continents in our world, the Mineral Continent, Coral Reef Continent, Avant - garde Continent, Space - age Continent and Eidoria Continent. Each continent has around 100 kingdoms, which is why I think your dream of becoming the king of the world is stupid by the way. And according to this, we could take our whole lives to accomplish something like that.''
''Hey look!'' Kami excitedly points towards the map. ''We're closer to the Eidoria continent, we should go there!''
''Hey! Are you even listening to me?!'' A vein pops on her forehead out of being furious. ''Plus, we're going there, I just came from there. It's no fun anyway.'' She looks down at the map and doesn't say anything.
''Listen Ava...'' Kami's tone lowers, as he looks towards the sky. ''I might not know much about this world and be hopeless when it comes to directions. But I do know one thing, being the King has always been a dream of mine. I just need a strong and loyal crew with me, and we'll take over this world. I don't know how yet, but I'll do. Just like Gio Van Nics.''
''Gio Van Nics...'' She whispers the name.
''Do you know him?''
''Everyone know the story of Gio Van Nics, a man who was a mere bandit and almost became the king.'' She pauses in between and looks at Kami's smile. ''It almost makes sense now, why you want to be a bandit.''
''What about you? Why are you going around the world.''
''I don't it's kind of stupid...'' She looks away shyly.
''Come on! You have to have a dream right.''
''I want... I want to be the best gunslinger the world has ever seen. My dream has always been to shoot a gun at a top tier level.'' She blushes while looking down.
''That's great! I'll make that nothing stands between you and your dream, I'll die while trying to make you the greatest gunslinger this world has ever seen.''
''Okay than... I'll do the same for you. Only death will be between me and you becoming the king of the world.''
Kami spits on his hand and reaches out for a handshake.
''Why would you do that?''
''My uncle said this how bandits make lifelong pact, where two men make a promise that only death can stop.'' Kami laughs.
Ava smiles back and does the same before the two of them make a handshake.
Kami spreads his hands embracing the wind while smiling. ''Don't you-''
Kami is disturbed by a loud crash against their gravetread, and it's a bigger one that crashed against them. The vehicle is blocking their path to go forward.
''Kami Van Hellsin, I've finally found you! And I'll make sure to kill you properly this time!'' A voice shouts from the gravetread.
''What did you do now?!'' Ava pulls out her rifle and prepares herself.
The man who spoke appears and shows his gold teeth while smiling at the two of them, it was Edward Burne.
''I'll have your head kid!'' He shouts while having an eerie smile on his face.
