Jerry understood exactly what kind of person Doflamingo truly was beneath his royal facade.
Doflamingo had gone astray from a young age due to numerous traumatic experiences. Not only had he ended his own father's life with his own hands, but he had also murdered his younger brother in cold blood. He remained ruthlessly calculating and would resort to any method necessary to achieve his goals.
As an underground middleman who operated in both legitimate and criminal spheres, Doflamingo privately managed slave auctions in locations like Sabaody Archipelago. He was also deeply involved in the arms trade, extending his commercial tentacles to every corner of the world.
After seizing control of Dressrosa's throne many years ago, he had brought countless tragedies to what had once been a peaceful and stable nation.
In general, Doflamingo represented a textbook villain archetype—someone eager to turn the entire world upside down who thrived on chaos and suffering.
Seeing that Doflamingo was furious but still hadn't made any aggressive moves, Jerry grinned with obvious anticipation. "So you did call for backup, didn't you? Well then, I'll just have to beat them up too when they arrive."
With those words, Jerry launched the first attack.
He swung his fishing rod in a vicious slash toward Doflamingo, then flashed forward to follow up his ranged assault with close combat.
Doflamingo naturally wouldn't sit passively and wait for death. He snorted coldly, raised his hand with practiced ease, and released string threads to pull himself skyward, gracefully avoiding the devastating strike.
"Bullet String!"
Then he raised his right hand, extended his index finger, and fired dozens of thin, nearly invisible strings at high velocity from his fingertips like bullets from a machine gun.
Seeing this familiar attack pattern, Jerry waved his left hand with fluid grace, sending dozens of water droplets flying out like return fire from his own weapon.
"Water Shot!"
The numerous water projectiles intercepted Doflamingo's string bullets with perfect accuracy, while the remaining droplets continued toward their airborne target.
Doflamingo swept his left hand in a defensive arc, and several transparent strings flashed by rapidly, dispersing all the water droplets harmlessly. Then he raised his right hand high and swung it down with tremendous force.
"Parasite!"
However, after completing this attacking motion, he was shocked to discover that Jerry—who should have been positioned on the ground below—had completely vanished without a trace.
This realization made Doflamingo's hair stand on end, because Jerry's voice and presence had somehow appeared silently behind him in midair.
"I don't have time to waste playing games with a scoundrel like you."
As soon as these words finished echoing, the fishing rod in Jerry's right hand—accompanied by violent wind pressure—struck toward the back of Doflamingo's head with crushing force.
A muffled impact resounded as Doflamingo's suspended figure plummeted downward at alarming speed like a baseball hit by a professional slugger. With a tremendous crash, he smashed a massive crater in the sunflower field below.
Jerry looked down at Doflamingo, who was slowly rising to his feet amid a shower of falling flower petals, and observed quietly, "You're not slow when it comes to reactions."
Just before the fishing rod would have connected with lethal force, Doflamingo had suddenly turned his head and raised his hand to create several defensive string barriers, barely managing to avoid having his skull crushed like soft tofu.
"Well then, keep up the good work," Jerry said with casual menace.
He leaned forward and rushed downward, his fishing rod suddenly wrapping itself in oppressive, crackling electrical energy.
Faced with Jerry's high-speed aerial pursuit, Doflamingo gritted his teeth and decided to abandon all restraint.
"Don't underestimate me!" Doflamingo roared, stomping his feet with tremendous force. With his angry cry, the sunflower fields surrounding his position began rapidly changing to pure white coloration, spreading outward in an expanding circle.
Witnessing this dramatic transformation, Jerry didn't even blink as he continued his original devastating assault, descending like a falling meteor.
"Shield White Line!"
Suddenly, several enormous string constructs erupted from the ground directly in Jerry's attack trajectory, attempting to block his descent.
But after a thunderous explosion, Jerry shattered through the string shield's defenses and continued slashing downward with undiminished force.
Perhaps anticipating this exact outcome, Doflamingo had already nimbly dodged out of the expanding crater.
The pit grew even larger from Jerry's impact, but rather than stopping, Jerry twisted his body and launched himself forward again.
"So your fruit has awakened? That just means I get to beat you up even more thoroughly!" Jerry declared with obvious satisfaction.
Hearing this dismissive response, Doflamingo roared with eyes blazing with fury, "Arrogant brat!"
Before his words had finished echoing, he began moving his hands rapidly, completely ignoring the pain radiating from his neck and shoulders.
In an instant, dozens of massive white string constructs composed of countless individual threads shot up from the transformed ground. Their sharpened tips locked onto Jerry's position like surging tidal waves, swarming toward him from multiple directions.
"Huge Wave White Line!"
Jerry maintained his momentum while his fishing rod swept in all directions around his position.
"Water Blade: Spinning Slash!"
An extremely sharp, 360-degree slash appeared and spread rapidly outward. With just this single technique, all the white string attacks besieging him were severed cleanly near ground level.
Before Doflamingo could control additional strings to supplement his offensive, Jerry's body suddenly accelerated and rushed toward the Heavenly Yaksha—whose face now showed genuine astonishment—with lightning-like velocity.
On the other side of the conflict, at the second level battleground of the elevated terrain, Carrot's eyes remained fixed intently on the crew-cut man standing before her as she moved with rapid, darting motions.
"You must be Vergo—the bad guy that Big Brother Jerry specifically warned us about!"
Her voice was still floating through the air when the sharp claw gloves on her hands began crackling with violent electrical currents, striking toward Vergo with devastating intent.
"Electro Claw!"
With a crisp metallic sound, Vergo raised the bamboo weapon coated in Armament Haki in his hand, his expression remaining completely emotionless as he accurately blocked Carrot's electrified attack.
Then he swung the bamboo stick in one smooth, practiced motion, delivering a heavy blow that knocked Carrot backward several meters across the battlefield.
"You're one of the Black Star Pirates, aren't you?" he said with obvious contempt. "You're completely overestimating your own abilities!"
Speaking with dismissive superiority, Vergo stomped his feet in rapid succession, employing the Marine Six Styles technique called Shave to instantly appear beside Carrot while swinging his bamboo weapon with brutal force.
But Carrot dodged his attack without delay, stretching out her hand to begin gathering crackling electricity in her palm.
Witnessing this defensive maneuver, Vergo observed with clinical detachment, "So you really are from the Mink Tribe, as reported."
After making this assessment, he chose to press his offensive advantage.
However, before he could execute any follow-up moves, Carrot's entire body became surrounded by electrical discharge. A sound resembling bird cries emerged from her hands as she rushed forward at absolutely astonishing speed.
With the enhancement provided by her electrical stimulation, Carrot moved so rapidly that her form became almost impossible for ordinary human vision to track.
Vergo's eyes could only detect a faint afterimage, but under the perception granted by his Observation Haki, Carrot had nowhere to hide from his awareness.
He moved his lips slightly and swung his right hand and Armament Haki-coated bamboo behind him, positioning himself to intercept Carrot's approach.
Suddenly, Vergo's body shifted laterally within a small space, avoiding Carrot's attack by mere millimeters while the bamboo weapon in his hand swung outward with deceptively slow but actually lightning-fast motion.
"What?!" Carrot was suddenly startled and instinctively tried to twist her body while airborne, but it was already too late to completely avoid the counterattack.
With a bone-jarring impact, Carrot flew backward and crashed to the ground, causing the earth to crack and spread in spider-web patterns while raising tremendous clouds of dust and debris.
"Carrot!" Carina and the others who had been keeping track of the distant battle exclaimed in alarm. Brook even forced Smoker back with a desperate sword strike, preparing to fly over and provide assistance.
However, before they could take action, Carrot's voice emerged from the settling dust clouds. "Ahem! You don't need to come help me—I can handle this! I want to help Brother Jerry too!"
At the same time, everyone was suddenly startled by a strange crackling sound emanating from within the dusty area.
"Carrot! You..." When the smoke and debris finally cleared, Carina stared in complete astonishment at the now-unfamiliar tall figure, her eyes wide with amazement.
Carrot's eyes had turned bright red, and her originally petite body had become tall and statuesque. Her short hair and tail had transformed to brilliant white and grown several times longer than before, flowing gently behind her in the breeze.
Lightning flashes surrounded her periodically, adding an aura of tremendous power and intimidation to her transformed appearance.
"I'll destroy you on behalf of the moon!" Carrot declared, locking her glowing eyes on Vergo with absolute determination.
