Chapter 176 - Chapter 175: Conflict on Angel Beach

Seeing Jerry's recurring moments of apparent madness, Deuce slapped his forehead helplessly, stepped forward, and addressed the angel girl:

"Ahem, please don't mind him."

"Hello, we're from the Blue Sea and just arrived here. There are many things we don't understand. May I ask you some questions?"

The girl smiled and replied gently: "Of course! My name is Conis, and I'm a resident here."

Hearing this, Deuce couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. After experiencing someone like Gan Fall who spoke in riddles, he'd begun to think there was something about Sky Island that couldn't be revealed.

Fortunately, Conis seemed very friendly and willing to help them solve their problems.

"Wow, beautiful lady, please allow me to admire you for a moment..." Brook ran forward excitedly, about to deliver his usual opening line.

But Deuce quickly pulled him back.

"Ah, never mind him. I'm Deuce, and these are..."

After brief and friendly introductions, Deuce and Skull began asking Conis about information they were most concerned with.

Meanwhile, Ace joined the conversation, curiously inquiring about local delicacies and specialties.

After learning about the Dial technology and daily information such as food customs, they were about to continue asking about the local authorities when sudden commotion from all around interrupted their conversation.

Carrot had been running around excitedly, then took Kotatsu to play with the little cloud fox at Conis's feet. Suddenly, she noticed a group of strange people around them and couldn't help asking curiously:

"Why are these people crawling?"

"Is it a hobby?" Carina also couldn't understand.

Under the confused gazes of the crew, a group of uniformed people wearing white berets were lying on the ground, crawling slowly forward.

At their leader's command, they stood up in unison.

Then the leader in the coat announced loudly: "We are the White Berets. You eight are the illegal immigrants from the Blue Sea, correct?"

"Hey? Captain McKinley, is there some misunderstanding?" Conis took a half step forward, wanting to help clarify the situation.

"It's been confirmed, and you don't need to be nervous. Illegal entry is only a Class 11 crime. If you're willing to accept punishment, you'll be released immediately."

Although Captain McKinley didn't look particularly kind, he didn't engage in direct combat. Instead, he patiently explained their situation.

"Punishment?" Deuce asked curiously. He was usually the one who handled such negotiations.

McKinley nodded and stated calmly: "Yes, you only need to pay ten times the entry fee—one hundred billion Extol per person."

"What? One hundred billion? Come on! We won't pay you anything. That old woman clearly said we could enter without paying," Carina protested.

When Carina heard this astronomical figure, even though she'd previously learned from Conis that the exchange rate was ten thousand Extol to one Berry, she still felt the entry fee was no small amount.

Scratching his head, McKinley showed a somewhat embarrassed expression: "It will be difficult for us to explain to the priests and God if you refuse..."

"Hmph! That's your problem. We don't believe in your god! If you have the courage, just bring him over here!" When it came to money, Carina wouldn't give in easily.

"Miss, be careful with your words! Openly discussing God is a serious offense!" McKinley hurriedly waved his hand to signal her to stop. He decided that if she continued speaking this way, he'd have to resort to force.

However, before anyone could say anything more, Jerry suddenly raised his right hand.

A massive lightning bolt suddenly struck down from above, but was completely blocked by a hemispherical water barrier that appeared instantly in the air.

"God Enel has delivered his judgment..." one White Beret whispered in awe.

"But what is that water barrier?" another asked in confusion.

The White Beret troops immediately began discussing this unprecedented situation—they'd never seen divine judgment actually resisted before.

"Hey there, God Enel! Go back and tell him directly—it's his business to call himself God here, but it's not a wise choice to provoke us!" Jerry called out toward the sky.

"Be careful, or we'll drag him down and give him a good beating with our boots," he added with a threatening grin.

Jerry slowly lowered his right hand and smiled confidently.

"You scared me! What just happened? Did someone attack us?" Carina asked in surprise.

Everyone in the pirate crew looked serious. Skull combined the reactions of the White Berets with Jerry's previous words and said slowly: "From what they and Captain Jerry said, it was some god from Sky Island who launched that attack."

McKinley waved his hand and gave decisive orders to his subordinates: "Since God has made his judgment, they are guilty. Attack!"

Seeing the other side launch the first strike, Ace, Brook, and Cavendish weren't intimidated and rushed toward the enemy.

"Want to fight? I'll fight you to the end!" Ace declared.

"Mr. Ace is right! Come on, whatever!" Brook added enthusiastically.

"Haha! It looks like my time to shine!" Cavendish laughed as he drew his sword.

Jerry followed closely behind, throwing his fishing rod toward the White Beret troops and controlling the line and float to attack from a distance.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

As a subordinate force of the priests, the White Berets were adequate for maintaining daily order, but when faced with the fierce assault from Jerry's crew, they were all knocked to the ground instantly without any ability to fight back.

Jerry looked around at the White Beret troops lying scattered across the beach, then at Conis, who appeared worried and terrified. He shook his head, looked at Deuce, picked up Gan Fall's whistle, and blew it.

Then he turned to Conis, who stood in the distance looking bewildered, and said apologetically: "I'm sorry, Miss Conis. We defeated these troops—I hope you won't be implicated because of this."

Conis glanced at the situation on the ground, then looked up and whispered to Jerry and the others: "You... you defeated the White Berets and are now Class 2 criminals. I..."

Deuce raised his hand to interrupt her: "Miss Conis, please don't say more, or you might be misunderstood as harboring criminals."

"Let's go wait for that old man to arrive. We can ask him more questions—he doesn't seem like someone under this place's control."

Jerry knew Gan Fall was the former God. Since they'd become criminals anyway, it would be better to avoid talking with Conis, a legitimate resident, and potentially getting her into trouble.

Soon, a strange cry echoed through the air, and the Sky Knight's figure appeared in their sight.

When Gan Fall arrived from afar, he'd already observed the situation on the beach. After landing hastily, he spoke with obvious surprise: "Young man, you defeated the law enforcement force..."

As the one who'd led the charge, Ace scratched his head and laughed: "Haha, old man! We were identified as criminals the moment we reached the White White Sea, so we could only put them to sleep for now."

Jerry nodded slightly and took over the conversation: "That's right. And seeing how they crawl forward with such heavy equipment, there must be many people depending on them for safety. Let them use the sky as a blanket and get some rest."

Gan Fall's expression grew more serious as he realized the implications of what had just transpired—these Blue Sea visitors had not only defied God's judgment but had done so successfully.
