Chapter 25 - Ch 25

However, since the two elders had fled, it only proved they had something to hide and were undoubtedly involved in the conspiracy against the Uchiha clan. But Kagami was too lazy to give chase. They were just two relics with one foot already in the grave, possessing neither strength nor skill. He wouldn't waste his time on them. If he happened to cross paths with them in the future, he could kill them then.

Afterwards, Kagami instructed Hiashi to expedite the construction of his new estate, then turned and left without lingering.

Just as he was about to round a corner, a flash of bright color caught his eye. A young woman in a mesh shirt, the hem swaying gently in the wind, stood quietly in front of a dango shop. Her hair was pulled back in a high ponytail, giving her a capable and lively appearance. Sunlight filtered through the leaves of a nearby tree, casting a soft golden glow on her shoulders.

The woman's bright, large eyes were fixated on the tri-colored dango skewers in the shop window, filled with a look of pure desire, as if that simple treat was her greatest wish at that moment. However, when her hand drifted to the coin purse at her waist, her expression faltered, replaced by a hint of helpless regret. Obviously, she was short on money and could only sigh in despair at the tempting food.

The moment he saw her, Kagami's eyes lit up. This was Anko Mitarashi, one of Konoha's most striking beauties. Compared to the nameless extras, Anko's figure and appearance were on par with Kurenai Yuhi's. Though she would change in the future, right now, she was at her absolute peak.

Seeing a special jonin like Anko hesitating to buy a single skewer of dango, Kagami felt a moment of confusion. But he quickly put the pieces together. Although Anko was a special jonin, she was also Orochimaru's former apprentice. Under Hiruzen's tenure, she would have been barred from any important missions and likely forbidden from even leaving the village. Without missions, a shinobi had no source of income. It was no wonder she was trapped in a situation where she couldn't even afford dango.

However, this gave him an opportunity.

Without hesitation, Kagami walked straight toward her. "You want some? My treat." He offered her a gentle, disarming smile.

The moment she saw him, Anko froze, her heart began to hammer in her chest, and a deep blush instantly colored her cheeks. "He's so handsome!" she thought, her mind reeling. Kagami's striking features, combined with the subtle influence of his Pure Yang Holy Body and the simple kindness of his offer, instantly captivated her.

"Miss, what's your name?" Kagami asked, his smile like Cupid's arrow, striking her straight through the heart.

"H-hello, my name is Anko Mitarashi," she answered shyly, her heart pounding as she subconsciously squeezed her legs together.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Anko. My name is Uchiha Kagami."

Kagami nodded. Seeing her flustered reaction, he knew his goal had been achieved. With his Pure Yang Holy Body, virtually no woman could resist his aura. He didn't need to put in much effort to capture a girl's heart. But he also understood the art of subtlety; a bit of push and pull would arouse a woman's curiosity far more effectively.

So, he didn't press his advantage. Instead, he turned to the shop owner and handed him a banknote. "Boss, this lady's dango is on me."

"Th-thank you..." Anko blushed even deeper, a little embarrassed that this handsome man had witnessed her financial struggles.

"You're welcome." Kagami shook his head, a faint smile on his lips. "My apologies, Anko-san, but I have something else to attend to, so I can't join you. I've already paid, so please, take your time."

With that, he turned and left without a moment's hesitation.

Watching him go, Anko felt a pang of disappointment. She had thought he was asking her on a date. She stared at his retreating back, her gaze becoming fascinated. "I wonder if he has a girlfriend..."

The dango shop owner watched this exchange, his heart inexplicably breaking. Anko was one of Konoha's goddesses, the apprentice of one of the legendary Sannin. She was a dream that countless men longed for but could never attain. And now, this stranger had stolen her heart with just a few words and a single kind gesture. It hurt. It hurt so much. But then, he compared his own reflection to Kagami's departing figure and could only sigh in defeat. There was simply no comparison.

As he walked, Kagami asked the system in his mind, "System, what is Anko's rating?" He wanted to confirm his earlier theory.

"Ding! After analysis, the subject Mitarashi Anko's rating is D-Rank."

Kagami nodded to himself, his theory confirmed. As long as a woman had appeared in the original story, her rating would likely be D-Rank or higher. And it was very probable that the more significant their role, the higher their rating would be. Therefore, if he wanted to find women with high ratings, he needed to focus on those who were central to the original plot. Anko's role was comparable to Kurenai's, and their strength was similar, so the rating was logical.

Kagami guessed that in this world, only Hinata and Sakura were likely to be rated B-Rank or higher. Only a being like Ōtsutsuki Kaguya could possibly reach A-Rank. But this was all just speculation; he would only know for sure once he met them.

Winding his way through the busy streets, Kagami's steps were light and purposeful. He finally arrived at the Hokage Building, the symbol of power and responsibility in the village. But before he could step inside, Nara Shikaku hurried out to meet him.

"Ah, Kagami-sama! What a coincidence! I was just about to head to your residence to find you, but I didn't expect to run into you here." Shikaku seemed a little surprised to see him.

"You were looking for me? What happened?" Kagami asked, a hint of confusion in his voice.

Shikaku nodded, his expression turning serious. "Kagami-sama, while we were sorting through the intelligence files from Root and the Anbu, we found... a great deal of incriminating evidence against Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura. What are your orders? Should we make it public?"

As he spoke, a flicker of anger was still visible in his eyes, as if he still couldn't believe the depths of their depravity. Danzo was one thing, but to find that the supposedly righteous Third Hokage was in fact a master of deceit... The undeniable facts were laid out in the files, and he had no choice but to believe them.
