The moonlight struggled to pierce the clouds, casting dappled shadows across the festive and solemn wedding chamber, which was filled with countless fiery red celebratory decorations.
Inside the room, a groom that was both handsome and elegant that seemed to have stepped out of a painting, watched with deep and gentle eyes that could melt all the ice in the world.
He moved slowly toward the bed where a stunningly beautiful bride sat, her red lips slightly pursed, her eyes shimmering with a mix of shyness and anticipation.
Looking at the beautiful bride, the groom, Uchiha Kagami, felt a tender smile form on his lips.
But just as he was about to consummate their marriage, a voice suddenly echoed in his mind, causing his expression to freeze.
"Ding, detecting host's marriage. The More Progeny, More Blessings System is activating!"
"1%... 10%... 40%... 80%... 100%... System activation successful!"
"Congratulations, Host, for successfully activating the system! Your physique has been transformed into a Pure Yang Holy Body!"
A system?
Hearing the voice in his mind, Kagami's expression shifted rapidly from surprise to anger, and finally to a deep sense of helplessness.
"It's been twenty years! Why are you only showing up now? Do you have any idea what I've been through for the last two decades?" Kagami roared silently, at the system in his mind.
He was originally a person from modern society who had transmigrated into the world of Naruto after dying while saving someone from drowning, becoming an orphan of the Uchiha Clan.
Upon realizing he was now a member of Konoha's Uchiha, he lived in constant fear of the impending Uchiha Clan Massacre.
At first, he believed he would receive a system or some kind of cheat, just like other transmigrators. He dreamed of putting Uchiha Fugaku in his place, taking down Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura, and leading the Uchiha to a new era of prosperity, avoiding the tragedy.
But years went by with no sign of ant help, and the date of the massacre drew ever closer.
Knowing he couldn't count on a system, he had no choice but to abandon his fantasies and focus on diligently training to increase his strength, hoping to change the clan's rigid mindset from within.
What drove him further into despair was his own lack of talent. As an Uchiha, his abilities were shockingly poor; it took him an entire year to unlock Chakra, a feat others accomplished in a single day. At his rate of progress, he might never even reach the rank of Genin in his lifetime.
Of course, since Chakra training was a dead end, he also attempted to awaken his Sharingan to change his fate. He knew that intense emotional fluctuations could trigger it, but despite trying every method he could think of, his eyes remained unchanged.
Therefore, he could only resort to helplessly trying to alter the Uchiha Clan's way of thinking, praying that Hiruzen Sarutobi and the village elders would see their change of heart and prevent the massacre.
However, it wasn't until he interacted with many of his fellow Uchiha that he realized the clan was beyond saving. Most were lost in the glories of the past, refusing to accept their current reality. They were arrogant, conceited, and utterly unwilling to listen to his suggestions. Furthermore, because of his pitiful lack of talent, they looked down on him and often went out of their way to humiliate him.
At that point, he completely gave up on them and began to wonder if he could at least save himself.
After the Nine-Tails' attack on the village, he even considered secretly fleeing Konoha to live under a new identity in another country. However, Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo kept the Uchiha under intense surveillance. With strength less than that of a fresh Genin, if he dared to leave the village, he would likely be eliminated by Root operatives before the day was out.
He had considered defecting to Konoha's leadership, but with no talent or strength to offer, Hiruzen Sarutobi would have no reason to accept him. Moreover, Danzo harbored a deep-seated hatred for the Uchiha; if Kagami ever approached the Hokage Building, he would probably find himself on a Root experimental table the next day.
As the Uchiha Clan Massacre loomed closer, every path seemed to lead to the same end: death. Without strength, there was no hope for survival.
So, he gave up completely. He decided to put it all out of his mind and simply enjoy the little time he had left. Even if he was fated to die in the massacre, he had lived for twenty more years than he should have, so it wasn't a total loss.
Having come to terms with his fate, he stopped worrying and managed to live a decent life with the inheritance from his parents, who died in battle, had left him.
Remembering he was an orphan in his previous life as well, he used the social skills and cringe pickup lines that he learnt from timtok and somehow managed to win the heart of a girl, who was also an Uchiha orphan.
Her name was Uchiha Rinne.
It had to be said, the Uchiha bloodline was truly remarkable; even a girl who never appeared in the original story was breathtakingly beautiful.
Thanks to his efforts, his relationship with Uchiha Rinne deepened quickly, and they were soon engaged. Today, they held a simple wedding, attended only by a few supportive neighbors and friends. It wasn't that he didn't want to give Rinne a grand ceremony, but they were both orphans, and he had spent most of his money during their courtship. The more powerful members of the Uchiha clan looked down on them and certainly wouldn't spend money to help them celebrate.
This was the best he could manage.
Fortunately, Uchiha Rinne's feelings for him ran deep, and she didn't care about such material things.
For so many years, he had nearly pushed the thought of the massacre from his mind, believing he would live out a simple, quiet life with Rinne.
But now, on his wedding day, a system had awakened.
Kagami's emotions were a whirlwind of complexity.
He quickly composed himself and asked in his mind, 'System, what can you do?'
The system's arrival brought the looming threat of the Uchiha Clan Massacre, which was less than a year away, back to the forefront of his mind. Without the system, he would have been waiting for death. Now, though it was late, he finally had a glimmer of hope.
Hearing Kagami's question, the system immediately began to explain.
[This system is called the More Progeny, More Blessings System. Its function is to allow the host's offspring to randomly draw a character template from across all worlds upon birth!]

Hearing the system's reply, Kagami's eyes lit up with surprise. "Doesn't that mean that as long as my child draws a powerful template, I could become invincible overnight?!"
His goals weren't lofty; he just needed enough power to lead his family through the Uchiha Clan Massacre and survive.
If he could overcome this fatal trial, then with the system, the world would be his oyster. The possibilities would be endless.
At that point, punching Uchiha Madara and kicking the Sage of Six Paths would no longer be just a dream. Maybe even kaguya would harbor his children. Hahaha.
