Chapter 12 - Chu-Chu Trauma, Ghost Protocols & the Three That Ain’t One

"Now now dear, open wide for the chu-chu train~." A teasing smile formed on Haki's face, but the light of expectation from Acca betrayed his real thoughts.

Hesitant to oblige the human's demand, the rat—which had fairly developed sentience—felt shame and despair, its 'emotions' spiraling downwards. Seeing as the rat was not "ratting," Acca pried its mouth open with his mind and shoved the funnel down its throat—a bulge now showing on the outside. With the cup now empty, Acca's purpose would be fulfilled shortly.

The rat's listless eyes betrayed its 'state of mind.' Its eyes would soon regain their vigor, along with it came rage and unadulterated fury. Its body shaking, its facial muscles—or at least what little it had—started twisting. It bared its sharp teeth at the indifferent block of ICE, then opened its mouth to release a sound that people would have predicted to be a guttural roar, but what came was not the expected roars, but a series of ruthless coughs and "Hawk-tuahs" to remove the piss that went down the wrong pathways.

Acca patiently observed and recorded the results of his tests. In the following hours, he tried his best to make the rat feel all sorts of human-like emotions, such as: rage, happiness, joy, peace, pain, sorrow, love, life, and mostly death… For those wondering, everything that can be felt is an emotion. If you feel alive, down, good or bad, it is an emotion.

At that moment, a notification appeared:

[QUEST]

[THE DEBACLE OF THE SOUL]

[STATUS]

[FAILED]

"Hmm… Was it because I brought Hell-Dave out to torture it, or because I chugged its own dismembered scrotum down its throat?"

'Damn it! I knew I shouldn't have told that bastard Hamman—I mean, fool… ARrrGH whatever…'

The innocent expression on Haki's face—if seen by others who knew him—would have their buttholes tighten up.

The possibilities he had already mapped out in his mind during previous ordeals, added to his shameless knowledge in philosophy and the A.I which increases processing speed, aided him to skim past useless data and come to the conclusion—no, assumption—of the "non-existent" soul of humanoid lifeforms… or at least, humans.

'This debunks the theory that philosophers have on ground. The concept of information being stored in the soul seemed plausible enough, but something feels wrong every time I think about it.'

For more intelligent lifeforms, they would have long since come to the conclusion that his theory was wrong. Because if so, why would some animals have sentience in the first place? They should all be mindless animals, right?

'Three entities in one, one is the other, and not, as in the existence of the sun.'

Quoting something he had heard from ancient sounds, he suddenly came to an enlightenment.

The sun is the sun. The light of the sun is the sun. The heat of the sun is the sun. But either of them is the same as the other. One as one. Three in one.

[The Sun = The Body]

[The Light of the Sun = The Soul]

[The Heat of the Sun = The Spirit]

This 'body, light, and heat' concept he had just theorized,

'Hmm, what should we call it…?'

Meanwhile, in the deepest recess of Haki's mind…

[*Alert* — Council Ping: Incoming Thought Argument]

Hell Dave: "Just call it "Burn Pack 3000". Body, light, heat—it already sounds like a finisher move, and we're talking about flames here, my specialty."

Heavenly Dave: "Let's be real for a second. This could change the face of metaphysics. I'm thinking something like… Trilateral Illumina."

Kevide: "Nahhh bro, name it The Sun's Left Nipple and watch physicists start World War 100 trying to explain it 💀"

Acca: "Brr, world war 100 would be this recursive apocalypse… anyways, none of those are viable. The framework clearly outlines a triadic energy model. A more fitting title would be Solar Partitioned Force Dynamics—"

Hell Dave: "Bro, why you always naming things like you're filing taxes? 😒"

Kevide: "Let's vote then. My pick: Hot Hot Soul Combo."

Acca: "I refuse. I'd rather delete my own code."

[Then Silence. Heavy. Like reality's holding its breath.]

Instinct steps forward. No talk. Just presence.

Then—

Instinct:{SOLAR TRIFECTA}

[One full second of dead silence.]

Kevide: "Ouuuu. That's kinda sexy."

Heavenly Dave: "Yeah… Clean. Solid. Balanced."

Hell Dave: "That's a name you carve into a star with your fingernail while it burns you, ohhh am gonna cu-"

Acca: "...Logically Acceptable."

The theory, now officially known as the Solar Trifecta could also be used in tandem with the human body, provided the "spirit" and "soul" truly existed. But he liked to believe so, because apparently, some people from the past, ages ago, were rumored to have the ability to turn into their "spirit form"—also known as ghosts.

It was mostly believed in this age that humans had some abilities in ages past which they had lost over time due to genetic adaptation… just like they lost their tailbone and appendix. Anyways, proof of this existed in the cyber museums. Though the full context of the story was not yet known, chunks, bits, and pieces of the conversation still remained—some in the cloud, some stored in a rectangular device found in rock formations. Devices which had long been turned to dust.

It was really a mystery why, even with all their technology—capable of getting information from a black hole, using electromagnetic-dating, etc.—they still couldn't find out fully their history.

A naturally sane mind in this age would blame it on the recursive apocalypse—constantly blocking their paths to advancements and twisting natural laws just to disrupt their experiment. Inside this little bubble, after 9 billion years of constant technological, scientific, and biological, etc., evolution, they had long reached the level of a Type 4 Civilization—being able to harness the entire potential (energy) of their galaxy for their own use and more…

They had already been making constant advancements, trying to work around physical laws and constants, but the Apocalypse was just too brutal. Many of their machines and evolved technology were just being wasted—not being used to harness the potential energy of other galaxies.

How ironic. The one galaxy they planned to assimilate from was now coming to swallow up their life.

Anyways, back to the "ghosts" theory. One of those ancient tomes of texts went:

10:15 PM

[Hey, what's up]

[Am good]

10:16 PM

[Right, so will you be my prom]

[…]

1:12 AM

[Hey, are you there]

[…]

6:00 AM

[On GG, are you ghosting me rn??]

Another went:

[Sup bro]

[Hey, I got that girl]

[Noice, I knew you could do it]

[So, have you called her to… you know, do it yet??]

[Haah… bro, I tried, but she keeps ghosting me.]

The art of ghosting. The Acca-possessed Haki couldn't wrap his little curious mind around it. And the most mysterious thing was that it seemed women were the most proficient in using this overpowered ability.

'Hmm… Something always seems off anytime I revisit this story, but as with everything else, I'll take it with a pinch of salt. It also conveniently fits well with what philosophers have in mind, soo…'

Getting back to his point, the human was also a triad of existence. The concept of the Body, Soul, and Spirit was no mystery to anyone. The Body, as all else, is composed of matter and tiny vibrating strings on the quantum level, swimming on the watery fabric of space-time, with their structural integrity held together by mainly the Strong nuclear forces and all others…

But the origin of the Soul and Spirit wasn't something even Scalar Science, at this point, could explain.

Scalar Science was a new branch of physics that had popped up a long time ago. It dealt with the study and behavior of fundamental particles and physical laws at specific scales. They believed these laws acted differently across higher and lower scales such as: Micro, Nano, Pico, Femto, Atto, Zepto, Yocto—even at the Quantum length—1.616255 x 10^-35m… basically just Quantum Physics wrapped in nonsense right? Yeah, he thought so too…

It was one of the reasons why Haki's breakthrough to the Yocto scale caused a massive storm across this expansive galaxy—The Milky Way.
