Barbara Is Doing WHAT in Her Room?!
"If I tell you I was eating food… would you believe me?"
The three returned quickly to the Knights of Favonius headquarters.
"Acting Grand Master Jean, we're back!"
Barbara pushed open the office door.
"Eh? Lisa-sis is here too? Perfect—we can all eat together!"
"Eat? Eat what?"
Jean perked up.
Had they brought back another impossible gourmet reward?
"It's Mona's reward—the Cosmic Giant shumai!"
Barbara stepped aside to reveal Mona.
Mona nodded, lifted her Vision, and summoned the enormous dim-sum out of its storage.
"Such a big… food?"
Lisa raised a brow, taken aback.
Han Feng really produced the strangest things.
"Yes. I received this from the Cooking Master Boy manga.
I wanted to share it with everyone, to thank Acting Grand Master Jean for her help."
Mona said sincerely.
"In that case, we won't be polite."
Jean smiled.
Just as Han Feng had said earlier— they were all close enough not to stand on ceremony.
"Hehe, then Jean-sis, Lisa-sis, enjoy slowly! We'll head out first!"
Barbara winked at Klee meaningfully as she left.
"Klee is leaving too!"
Klee waved and skipped out with her backpack.
"Ahem—well then, you two eat slowly.
There's plenty, so no rush. I'll go too."
Mona slipped away immediately.
Jean and Lisa stared at each other.
"…Why do I feel like something's off?"
Jean rested her chin on her hand.
She couldn't pinpoint it, but something about the three seemed… suspicious.
"They probably already ate at Boss Han's shop," Lisa chuckled.
"So they're tired and want to rest.
If you're worried, you can check on them later."
Jean relaxed slightly at that.
Then Lisa sniffed the air.
"Oooh~ This Cosmic Giant shumai smells wonderful. Let's eat."
"Yes, I was getting hungry too."
Jean nodded.
And temporarily put the strange feeling aside.
After leaving the office, the three girls split up.
Barbara hurried back to her room— practically skipping with excitement.
"Hehe~ Now that I'm alone…
I can finally taste the imitation roast meat again."
She sat on her bed and took out the boxed portion.
The earlier sensations had embarrassed her deeply— but she couldn't deny it:
It was addicting.
Barbara wanted to feel it again.
"I really don't know where Boss Han gets such bizarre cuisine…"
She muttered while staring at the food.
But the moment she thought of Han Feng, her cheeks grew warm.
She used to be a devoted follower of Barbatos.
But ever since discovering the manga shop, her faith had… shifted.
Boss Han was strong, handsome, mysterious, and his shop brought miracles to Mondstadt.
After all the rewards she'd seen and received— her admiration only grew deeper.
"No no, focus. Food first."
Barbara shook her head hard.
She picked up a piece and popped it into her mouth.
"Ah… it's so good…"
Alone in her room, she had no restraints.
She let herself indulge freely:
Face flushing.
Legs pressing together.
Soft, breathy moans escaping her lips.
The familiar wave of overwhelming pleasure washed over her— and Barbara secretly felt relieved.
Good thing she was alone this time.
If anyone else saw her like this, she'd die of embarrassment.
However—
Barbara did not know
that her sister, the Acting Grand Master Jean, was standing right outside her bedroom door.
Hand raised mid-knock.
Expression extremely complicated.
A few minutes earlier—
While eating the giant shumai, Jean suddenly realized what had bothered her:
Barbara and Klee had exchanged a meaningful look.
Which meant—
They were hiding something.
Probably something related to Klee's new reward.
Jean, suspecting Klee might've gotten something explosive again, decided to check with Barbara.
But when she arrived at the door…she heard those sounds.
And she froze.
"This girl… don't tell me she's…"
Jean's mind flashed with a very bold guess.
Her face reddened slightly.
She never imagined Barbara had… that kind of side.
Jean felt her worldview expand in real time.
"Looks like I haven't been paying enough attention to her.
I'll have to spend more time with her.
Talk to her more."
Jean sighed, feeling guilty.
She was always busy with work, neglecting her little sister's private troubles.
"Since she's… busy right now, I'll come back tomorrow."
Jean turned to leave.
But at that moment—
A sharp scream came from inside the room.
"Ahhhh—!!"
"Barbara?!"
Jean stiffened.
Concern overwhelming all other thoughts, she immediately shoved the door open.
"What's wrong? Barbara, did you—"
Then she saw it.
And her brain shut down.
(⊙_⊙)
Barbara also froze—even more horrified.
Of all things—
Why did her sister walk in while she was eating this cursed food?!
After a long, long silence…
Barbara's mouth twitched.
"Sis… If I tell you I was eating food… would you believe me?"
"I believe you."
Jean nodded with full seriousness.
If her sister didn't want to explain, Jean would pretend nothing happened.
That was the only path to emotional survival.
"Actually… it's like this…"
Barbara finally collapsed onto her bed, defeated.
She knew this couldn't be avoided.
So she explained the imitation roast meat and its "special effects."
"I see… so THAT's what happened…"
Jean felt a wave of relief—
and then awkward amusement.
She had misunderstood everything.
Completely.
The real culprit was— Boss Han's gourmet reward.
"Well… clean yourself up.
I'll head out first."
Seeing Barbara's face burning red, Jean wisely decided to retreat.
This misunderstanding was way too big.
Better to leave while she still could.
"Sigh… what even was that…"
Barbara collapsed face-first onto her bed after the door closed.
She had only wanted to enjoy a dish quietly.
Instead?
First she embarrassed herself in front of Boss Han.
Then she embarrassed herself in front of her own sister.
Two consecutive social deaths—
Barbara felt like crying.
"From now on, I'll NEVER read that manga again!
And I'm NEVER eating its reward again!!"
Barbara vowed fiercely in her heart.
Though… whether she could resist the temptation next time was another question.
