Chapter 149 - Chapter 149: Boss Han, I Wonder How Much Keqing Would Be Worth in Recycling?

"Now this is an interesting item."

Han Feng's eyes gleamed with amusement.

It was basically a portable second-hand recycler— a machine that could dispose of unwanted stuff anytime, anywhere.

For people surrounded by clutter or in urgent need of money, it was honestly… pretty practical.

A flash of golden light enveloped Ningguang.

When it faded,

a waist-high, yellow rectangular machine appeared beside her.

Both Ningguang and Keqing examined it curiously.

"Boss Han, what kind of gadget is this?"

There were just too many gadgets in Doraemon.

Aside from the well-known ones, Ningguang couldn't remember all their effects.

Han Feng smiled.

"It's a Money-Exchange Machine.

You can put any unwanted old object inside, and it'll turn it into a certain amount of Mora.

If you regret it, you can buy it back within one hour— but you'll have to pay ten times the price."

"Anything at all? Even a Vision?"

The moment Ningguang heard that, her eyes lit up.

Han Feng: "…"

Good grief!

That was so Ningguang.

Everyone else would kill for a Vision, but to her, it was just… junk.

Of course, Han Feng knew how she got hers.

Unlike most who awakened a Vision through a strong desire and divine recognition,

Ningguang's was… an empty shell.

She'd been overjoyed when she first found it— even planning to auction it off.

But during inspection, the empty shell unexpectedly activated, awakening into a real Geo Vision.

Her guards had congratulated her.

Ningguang, on the other hand, had been furious.

How was she supposed to sell it now?!

So, yes—her question about "recycling a Vision"

was very much in character.

As for whether it was possible...

Han Feng wasn't sure.

There'd never been a case like this before.

After a brief thought, he said:

"The Money-Exchange Machine is designed to accept anything.

If you truly don't want your Vision… you can try it."

"Alright!"

Ningguang's eyes sparkled.

To most people, a Vision was priceless— but to her, it was practically useless.

She rarely used its power anyway.

To her, combat was crude— a last resort lacking elegance.

Anything that could be solved with Mora didn't require divine power.

When her Vision awakened and ruined her auction plans, she'd been quite upset.

Now, she finally had the chance to get rid of it.

"You really plan to recycle your Vision?

Even if you don't use it, at least keep it as a collection piece!

Isn't that too wasteful?"

Keqing felt she had to step in.

This was a Vision!

The ultimate dream of everyone on Teyvat!

If word got out that Ningguang just sold hers off, people would lose their minds.

"If I don't use it, then it has no value."

Ningguang shook her head calmly.

Seeing her resolve, Keqing sighed in defeat.

At Ningguang's waist hung a deep golden fan-shaped ornament— her Geo Vision dangled from it like a pendant.

She removed it smoothly.

"Boss Han, how do I use the machine?"

"Put it in the blue compartment below, then press the button."

"Understood."

Without the slightest hesitation, Ningguang placed her Vision into the slot and pressed the switch.

Her face was utterly calm— or perhaps she'd been waiting for this day all along.

The machine hummed to life, its screen flickering as it "calculated" the Vision's worth.

Ningguang and Keqing stood by patiently— though their emotions couldn't be more different.

Keqing felt a pang of regret.

A Vision, gone just like that.

Ningguang, meanwhile, was already estimating how much Mora she'd get.

A few moments later—

Ding!

The machine stopped.

Numbers appeared on the screen.

"One hundred million Mora?!"

Han Feng blinked in surprise.

Not bad.

Considering it was a "used" Vision already bound to its wielder, the price was actually quite generous.

But Ningguang was thrilled.

She had expected maybe fifty million at best— this was double that!

She happily pressed the button and collected the mountain of Mora.

"It's really worth that much?!"

Keqing's eyes widened, and for just a moment, she felt a dangerous temptation.

"Would you like to recycle yours too?"

Ningguang teased with a knowing smile.

"No thanks! I'm keeping mine!"

Keqing huffed.

Not everyone could treat a Vision like spare change.

Ningguang chuckled softly and didn't push it.

Instead, her mind began to race.

If one Vision was worth a hundred million Mora… then what if she collected several?

Wouldn't she be rich beyond belief?

Of course, it was only a passing thought.

She wasn't about to go stealing other people's Visions.

…Unless, perhaps, a criminal's Vision happened to fall into her hands.

But then, a mischievous idea crossed her mind.

Her golden eyes shifted to Keqing.

A teasing smile crept across her lips.

"Boss Han,

do you think this machine could… recycle people?"

Han Feng: "…"

Where did this woman's brain go sometimes?

Recycling a Vision was one thing— but people?!

Was she trying to start a black-market trade?!

"What are you even thinking?

Even if it could, that machine's not big enough!"

Han Feng rubbed his temples.

"Keqing can shapeshift though, can't she?"

Ningguang smirked.

"She'd fit right in.

So tell me, Boss Han—how much do you think Keqing would be worth?"

Keqing: (⊙_⊙)

"Wait—WHAT?!"

She froze, completely speechless.

Was this woman seriously thinking about selling her now?!

Too terrifying!
